For the past 2 weeks now, my area has been on a total blackout and I'm just wondering if this is only affecting my area or is it a nationwide blackout. If it's a nationwide blackout, please can someone tell us what the cause is. I don't want to believe that Buhari is seriously targeting my area just to subject us to perpetual suffering. it's Christmas for Christ sake!!! and I believe, in the euphoria of this Christmas, the govt should work double just to make us the citizens happy and not the other way around... Buhari and fashola, please bless us with electricity.
LastMumu: That was how one day I felt like changing my hairstyle, I barbed gorimapa and posted it on Facebook... feeling fly. The next day I saw my gorimapa picture on one useless Facebook page where people were praying for me because the admin said I had cancer.

Kindas3325: I don't know why you did not get this right, Political protest is different from student's own SMH
people don't cease to amaze me so, By deduction political protesters could be shot and it would be termed "alright" By people like you while students shouldn't be shot because their protests ain't politically motivated, is that what you are trynna say? Evil is evil and shouldn't be biased for Christ sake!!!!!!!!
The Nigeria police fires at lautech students protesters in Ogbomosho, oyo state on Friday, eye witness said that more than 20 students were injured in a race to safe their life from gun shot but no one was killed.
Over 500 students from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology,Ogbomosho had gather to air their mind over the prolonged strike, while others are on their way from different part of the country to join the protest.Students have been home for over 6 months, the strike which started on June 13 2016 is still on going, student were unable to write first semester examinations, final year students were not allowed to write their final exam.
Meanwhile, lautech students only come together with the aim of expressing their mind to the government and to show the world the uncertainities that surrounds their future. An eye withness told us that the police force told the students they needed to turn back because they did not have permission to hold protest, then they started firing.
THE STRIKE IN WHOLE-The decision to embark on the industrial action was agreed after a congress meeting of the union held at the main campus of the institution, which was also attended by the chairman of the University of Ibadan chapter of the union, Dr. Deji Omole, and that of the University of Lagos, Dr. Laja Oduja. The Chairman of ASUU in the university, Dr. Abiodun Olaniran, said the strike followed the endorsement of the National Executive Council of ASUU which gave its approval to press home the reversal of several hardship facing workers of the institution.
Olaniran stated that the demands of the union include a review of conditions of service for academic staff, retirement plans, including pension which is presently non-existent, payment of five months salaries, as well as academic earned allowances. The Chairman of ASUU in LAUTECH also maintained that the industrial action would not be suspended until the 23 months subvention owed the institution is fully paid by the two owner states of Oyo and Osun. While Oyo owes eight months, Osun State owes 15 months unpaid subvention. Before now, the two non-academic staff unions in the institution, Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU) and the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), had been on strike since July over issues bordering on staff welfare. The university had also remained closed to undergraduate students since mid-June following students’ protest; but ASUU members were, till Monday, attending to postgraduate students and final year students working on their projects.
later now they will gather machete and guns and impose them on the students just to justify their trigger-happy attitude and unprofessionalism...damn! and those of u that do masturbate when they hear news like "5 persons agitating for biafra shot dead/injured By security men at bridge head" should come and justify this two...Let's always condemn evil at all times because the evil we encouraged today may come back to hunt us tomorrow, thanks.
MyGeneration: Martin luther kings situation and dz is different, do you know dat Ojukwu was fighting Gowon because d next officer to tk power was supposed to be a yoruba man? What concerns Ojukwu with if a yoruba man lost out in power, d yoruba man accepted Gowons rule but Ojukwu wanted to claim Nigerian jesus, well he got what he wanted.
I don't want to derail from the main discussion but listen to this and please believe it. because it's the Gospel truth.... whether it's the fault of ojukwu or that of gowon that the biafran war had to go down is no longer the issue, the issue is that since after the war, igbos have got every reason to believe that Nigeria never loved them!!! and that's just just the case. If a country I called my own could slay 3 million of my kinsmen just to prove that they love me so much, I'd rather not call that love I'd call it a "hateful obsession " from a neutral person's objective. Even after the war, the Nigerian state that supposedly loves the igbo tribe to have killed 3million of it's members just to reintegrate them into Nigerian sovereignty has not given them any sense of acceptance, igbos will continue to demand this "freedom" until their status quo as bona fide part of Nigeria is reviewed.
MyGeneration: I would hv stepped down and accept Gowons rule
if people reasoned like this, there wouldn't have been anything like Martin Luther king thus black people would still have been classified as semi-humans...don't ever reason like this please, because if everyone did, Nigeria wouldn't have gotten her independence.
Johnnyessence: u will always be typing trash here and not saying the truth. The same imo states u mention here is full of mud houses. First go to the vilages, no tarred roads no health facilities. Example of the village is umudi. Almost all the houses are muddy. Not to talk of orlu where muddy houses dey. The place that's mostly develop in imo state is owerri.
don't normally engage. myself in this kinda bullshit but seeing this ur fallacious lie got my attention...saying that mud houses litter orlu zone in south east is one of the dumbest thing I've heard this christmas...bye. before I forget, if u see houses in southeastern villages you will marvel...trust me on that.
Seriously.. After Godwin, korede has been singing nonsense..
Mavin just dy like Man u.. Bought martial(korede), hype the life out of him, he didn't perform.. They now bought old soldier Ibrahimovich (iyanya) to come and help them win trophy.. But that one sef, him life span Don end.

ELKHALIFAISIS: basket why u no build beta mansion for your village, charity began from home oooo, B4 I build a mansion for another man's land I go first build one for my village... Onuowu Akulouno
dude go back and look at the last pics. .. that's baskets own house, probably the bungalow was that of his father I.e the woman's husband...basket no go bury another man wife for em own house na even though na em mama.
Doesn't it sound funny that theyd ask fg to probe the killing of biafran protesters... what do u expect? its just likev asking nnamdi kanu to probe ipob to find out if what police found out about it is true...let's start reasonin in this contri plz.
skywalker001: bruh cool down and go back and read [b]my last statement[/s] cos I couldn't remember where I stated that it's owk hw dy kill d young or old man... Abeg read and comprehend before u start to rant
kwynette: you have a smart phone, Google the aluu case and you'll see that suspects were released, you are actually the ignorant one here, and I feel bad for wasting my time replying you but it's been wasted already
I'm just disappointed in you, and trust me I won't quote you again!!! so, because they've "aluu" been charged to court they must be found guilty? don't be like this please. if the aluu beasts were released because the law found them innocent then, fine. these ones that just murdered this small child should also go to the law court and prove their innocence "I'm not a fan of imposed/supposed judgment "... charging these guys to court will not just deter them from indulging in such heinous crime next time but will also prove that such acts is not welcomed in the Nigerian society. thanks.
skywalker001: Small boy cannot have dis kind of huge hips and besides this pics is nt recent cos I've com across this pix b4. But all the same jungle justice is very bad
so, because he has big hips he's not a kid? so, because he's not a kid it's fine if was murdered? so, because it's an old incident, it should be left unchallenged? our urge to sound smart or relevant also depicts how foolish we are...this video has been circulating on Facebook and you are here telling me it's an old picture Which you've seen? dude your over sabi has affected my bile level I tell ya... damn!!!
kwynette: if my brother, son or father got this treatment, I'll remember the fact that this is Nigeria and I'll accept what has happened, look at Aluu, what has happened to the culprits? Nothing! So why will this case be any different?
you sound ignorant, all the aluu culprits were arrested and I saw them on t.v so, "something happened " ...if we all keep thinking like you just thought then, doom's day is nigh.
saboyaba: I'm still praying this didn't happen in Lagos, or even in Nigeria, but just in case it really did, the police needs information. You can't burn a child to death for any reason whatsoever and not be punished by our creator. There will be punishment here on earth too. So anyone who has any info should please contact our police.
people are. wicked I saw this video yesterday and couldn't watch it and my prayer after watching the little I could was for God to help police and catch each and every person that had a hand in the death of that fella!!! no matter what he's done, he doesn't deserve such a cruel death... when those silly murderers are. caught now you start seeing them blaming Satan like "I only hit him ones, na only tire I bring, na only one stone I hit, na devil" after the aluu incident I couldn't believe that people could still be this barbaric believe me you.
