Politics / Re: Armed Robbers Kill Brigadier General Harold Udokwere In Abuja by Pacesetter123(m): 6:30pm On Jun 23 |
He was in the war front for good 35 years and the wars didn't kill him. Then after retiring peacefully to the comfort of his house, radtag boys from nowhere come and murdered this fine gentleman in cold blood. It doesn't speak well of the security situation in the country. Meanwhile,A-3 Star General like him is entitled to security guards for life. Where were his own when this happened? R.I.P Sir! |

Politics / Re: Police Refutes Senator Sani's Claims, Say No EndSARS protester In Detention by Pacesetter123(m): 6:45pm On Jun 17 |
The same Nairaland miscreants that said no one was killed in lekki toll gate during Endsars protest are the same people shouting in this thread that there's nobody in police detention anywhere in the country. But they couldn't say anything when LSGSG awarded contract amounting to millions of naira for mass burial of corpse dumbed in various mortuaries after Endsars. And even when judicial panel of enquiry confirmed that there was mass murder of protesters, they couldn't challenge the panel till today. Bunch of heartless fellows. |
Politics / Re: Disquiet As Lawmakers Plan To End President, Governors’ Second Term by Pacesetter123(m): 5:12pm On Jun 16 |
I support this bill with my full chest. The single term will promote good governance and a better performance. Unlike the present two terms arrangements that the governor/president will used the last two years of their first term for campaign and fighting opponents for second term re-election.While the second term is always used for looting of Treasury. So they hardly have time to sit down and work. But with single term, performance will increase, looting will be reduced and political fighting and heating up the polity will minimize. And for the rotation based on geopolitical zone, it's also a welcome development cos it will give equal opportunities to all the zones to produce the president. This will reduce political tension and engender peace in the country. But I will add that the geopolitical zoning should be done on South and North basis. For instance,if the law takes effect this year, the S/W should be allowed to go for the next 6 years after Tinubu's 4 yearsto complete this present first term. Then after that,it should go to the north probably, the N/E or N/C.After 6 years,it come back to the south and probably to the S/E.After that back to another geopolitical zone in the north. By so doing, peace will rein. Then concerning the position of the 2nd Vice president,I will disagree with that. I suggest it should still be one Vice President to cut cost of governance and reduce duplication of duties. That's my submissions. |

Tellmeastory:You are actually not a good follower of the Super Eagles. If you were, you would have known that it's always very difficult for super Eagles to come from behind to top the group in any qualifiers.Be it in AFCON or W/Cup qualifiers. People with dying minutes miracle mentality like you said more than you in 2005 during 2006 W/Cup qualifying matches when Angola were topping the group. But at they end, they were humbled when Angola went on to qualified for the world cup at our own expense. See your mouth like we still have 7 or 8 matches to play bla bla bla n you used in calling people "useless" because they have a contrary view from yours. Make I even leave you sef to dey count number of matches wey remain while others are winning their matches. Shebi Benin don beat you now e remain Rwanda to Rwandalize you come march next year. Edoreborn:So what stops people that are not working from protesting against price hike of goods and services, subsidy removal without building refinery, electricity tariff increament and arbitrary cost of living in Nigeria? Must workers fight for everything for you? Workers are not satisfied with ill-treatment of their members and they are fighting the government for a better welfare of their members and you are here blaming them instead of blaming government. Shebi non-workers no get mouth or legs to protest and fight the government for their rights? 2 Likes |

Light78:I hate this line of thought! When Tinubu took over power about a year ago, price of cement rose from 4k a bag to 15k, you didn't say anything and we the people didn't die too. Price of garri moved from #50 a cup to #300,beans from #70 to #400 a cup, rice from #100 to #500 a cup, petrol from #230 to #1000 per liter, small Nokia torch phone from 4k to 30k, ordinary borehole water moved from #10 per gallon to #100 per gallon, etc. In all these,I didn't hear you lots echoing this type of sentiment. Nigerians were still enduring and going about their businesses as if nothing has happened in the country. Is there any price of the mentioned goods there that is not above 300% increament? And was it caused by minimum wage increament? So,is it the price increament that will come with a paltry 100k envisaged minimum wage that we won't survive? |
