Politics / Re: Supreme Court Abuja Is Currently On Fire. by Pacesetter123(m): 8:09pm On Sep 25, 2023

https://dailytrust.com/breaking-fire-outbreak-at-supreme-court/

There was pandemonium at the Supreme Court this morning owing to a mysterious fire that forced a 7-man panel of Justices headed by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Justice Dahiru Musdapher, to scamper for safety.

The apex court was on the verge of concluding hearing on a suit involving First Bank of Nigeria, when a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Chief Amechi Nwaiwu, SAN, spotted the uncanny fire that was gradually engulfing the left wing of the court.

The development occasioned palpable panic in the court room which was full to capacity with over fifteen SANs in attendance due to some political matters slated for hearing today.

On sensing that the fire was becoming menacing, the CJN ordered a stand down of the case, as the seven justices hurriedly retired to their chambers, with SANs and other court users scampering for safety through the double exit points in the court.

It took the effort of lawyers and court officials to curtail the situation, though its remote cause has remained a mystery.

Blaming it on the electrical wiring system in the court, a clerk who spoke to Vanguard decried that occasional spark of flames during proceeding has been a recurring decimals at the apex court since last year.

The court abruptly rose around 11:55 am due to the ugly incident and reconvened around 12:20 pm.

Those in court included Chief Wole Olanipekun, SAN, the national President of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, Chief J.B Daudu, SAN, Dr Alex Iziyon, SAN, Chief Lateef Fagbemi, SAN, Onyechi Ikpeazu, SAN, Yusuf Ali, SAN, among others.

New look as how?
Based on the description of your post.

You said no to tattoo,no to nose piercing and that you used to wear angle chain before but now the practice is totally abolished.

Now you can only wear waist beads .
So in other words,I was saying now that you don't wear the rest of the things anymore apart from waist beads that I like it.
It further means nose ring, angle chain and tattoos are a big No No for me but a big Yes to wasit beads.

If the president allow it PMS price to flow with dollars rate, the price of fuel will be increased again by the marketers, he's capping it, you're still complaining, governance is not a tea party.
I am surprised you Tinubu supporters could be so indecisive like this.

So when you people were busy applauding him for hurriedly removing subsidy without any risk mitigation plan, you didn't realize what you are just typing now?
Same you that applauded subsidy removal few months ago, it's the same you that is now applauding the return to subsidy regime.
Indeed, this is what we called policy summersault!

What do some of you people want sef? Government no subsidize, una go wail

Government is subsidizing, una don start to dey wail again

The problem with some of you is that, you're dumb but think you're clever

If the landing price of a litre of petrol is #900, when petrol was #200, government will have to pay #700 as subsidy, now that's like #650, Government will only have to pay #250 as subsidy.

There are lots of shallow people on nairaland
Shallow people in nairaland including you.
Listen to yourself again.
So when this man removed subsidy in his inauguration speech, did he tell you he wants to increase the price to #650 so he can only use #250 to subsidize?

Didn't you hear..... subsidy is gone forever?
That he will use the money to revamp our ailing refineries in 6 months?

So what now brings the issue of #250 subsidy bla bla bla?
Where do you get this your own analysis from?

You see somebody going back and forth in his policies without any firmed stance, instead of you to let him know the negative effect of swinging decision like pendulums, you are here analysing what even the president have never suggested.

Buhari did EXACTLY what Tinubu is doing now. And both of them did what EVERY NIGERIAN LEADER has done in the name of subsidy since 1973.

Sell petrol at a loss, and pay a subsidy that cannot cover the loss long term without us running into debt.

You guys, and the Tinubu guys do not see it, because you think you can buy something that costs N100 at N1.

Anyway, enjoy your subsidy. At the end, all of you Nigerians, you are the same. You want cheap fuel.

If we sold fuel today at the N145 it was under Buhari, we would be paying N800 per liter as subsidy by now. Is that sustainable, oga?

If we sold fuel today at the N87 it was under GEJ, we would be paying N900 or more per liter as subsidy now. Is that sustainable?

Tinubu=Buhari-=GEJ=Obj=Yaradua=army.

We dey pay too much for this cheap fuel.

Indeed, if you think that Buhari is better than Tinubu, you don't have any awareness of how much debt subsidy has plunged our economy into, apart from the other causes of our debt, corruption included.

The honest truth is, we have paid too much for cheap fuel. And for tinubu to bring back cheap fuel, it shows that his government has decided to return to one more failed government policy.

Well, let's keep lying to ourselves. Niger and Ghana buy fuel above N900 per liter...and BOTH HAVE WORKING REFINERIES. No subsidy, working refineries. The income we earn from oil is too low for us to pay for subsides and pay for good refineries. Not when we produce less than Libya....for a population twenty times the size of Libya/
So now who sent am to bring back subsidy?
This one wey him increase the price go reach 700/litre,we no still buy am?
Why him no use the money build refineries as him bin dey promise?

MORBID FAME

And it came to pass in the Nigerian industry of Arts and Music a young man from the state of Lagos sojourned amongst mortal men. His name was Naira the son of Marley. He was of a slender frame and the hair on his head fell in twisted locks of dread like the Samson of Olden times.
However unlike Samson who rode on the strength of his right arm to conquer and deliver Philistines for glory and fame. Naira the son of Marley relied on the power of his heavy voice and strange tunes. Tunes that made the son of men yearn for the pleasures of this world, it appealed to their desire to conquer the buttocks of women and drink strong wine and smoke the glorious hemp of the country side of India. So thus like Samson, Naira's fame also spread abroad from state to state and country to country, his chambers were filled with gold and his neck with silver and precious stones. His waist had no belt yet his cupboards were filled with a thousand trousers.
Lo and behold many parents said one on to themselves let us send forth our sons to learn and tarry under him like Joseph in the house of Portiphar for this man bears glory in his right hand and power on the left.
So it was, that a lone father of a certain young man whose name was Moh the son of bad, journeyed forth like Nicodemus under the cover of night to the palace of Naira. Now, when Naira beheld the face of the man's son he covered his face and shouted at his father: 'What is this that you have done? Why have you brought before me a man that carries the noon day sun on his forehead?' Or has thou come to render me blind? But Moh knelt down and spake softly unto him saying, it is not so my Lord, I pray thee, right from the day of my birth, My father and my mother, my step mother, my brother, sister and all the host of my kinsmen all call me the light, My Lord if it pleases you thou may address me as Imòle which is the light.'. And Naira marvelled at the young man and said; 'what meaneth these things?' So he tested him and said; 'sing me a song.' and Moh immediately responded with a Melodious tune and when Naira heard the sound of his music, he said! 'it is like sweet smelling savor, indeed I shall call you Imòle. Come under my wing and be with me. For I have taken I liking for you.' When he had said this Moh's father jumped and rejoiced and sung a song unto the Lord saying, 'A great light has emerged from my loin and through him my darkness will be rolled away like a carpet.' And outside the palace he built a small tenth unto the Lord and called it Imolède.
.
.

2

And Naira indeed took Moh under his wing and of a true thing he noticed that the boy was special, for it was as though the hand of the Lord was upon him. His songs also travelled wide that it was hard to believe that it was a novice who had sung them. Thus when the people listened to his music they would say 'Oh Naira has sung yet another one.' Hence the songs of Moh travelled than his own face. People knew his songs more than they knew him.
One day after many months, Moh ran out into the open streets and rented his clothes and shouted at the top of his voice.
' Hear me oh Nigeria, for I can no longer bear, if I die, know that my master is the killer.'
But when people heard this they scratched their head and said unto themselves; who is this man again? and what are these things from his mouth? for we know Naira and the works of his hand, and the only thing he has ever killed is the beats of his music. but again we shall wait for his Master's mouth for we do not believe this man.' Only one man came out and said 'I believe him.' His name was Bella the son of Shmurda
And when his master finally spoke on the matter he said.
'People of the world take the words from that man's mouth with a pinch of salt, for he is an addict, who smokes better than even I. He drags hemp in the day and ice at night, even the words of his songs he no longer knows.' And it so it was that more people believed the Master more than his servant.

3

'Moh the son of bad, left his master's house to work on his own accord. Even so he still reasoned within himself saying; what shall I do to make the world believe me? For my words hold know substance before these people. Indeed the testimony of the poor is vanity, and wisdom of the voiceless is regarded as folly. so he concluded saying I shall sing more songs and tell my story in them. And so he tried, he sang Peace and Feel good and Beast and peace but those that heard only groved to the melody of the sound, and the others still did not believe.
After many months News came to the world that Moh the Son of Bad had indeed died, and confusion immediately besieged the world. What is this? They asked one on to themselves, who killed him? And others screamed, oh he was far too young! No, to the bottom of this we shall get.
Behold some moments after his death, men and testimonies from different corners of country began to arise. Many of them spake softly saying indeed the testimonies from the mouth of the dead man is indeed true. His friend did not tell a lie and his death was not empty handed.
And shock shook the whole industry; what is this that has come upon us? And how doth the lie of the living become truth in death? What shall the father say and the mother. Many a people went back to play the words of his songs and shout oh, Was it him who sang this? Oh was it him who wrote this?. Oh I thought this was Naira. Was this truly the face to this song? Thus the man Moh became more famous in death than in life
And many stood up in their hundreds thousands to mourn renting their clothes, and many mothers cursed marley with the curse of the breasts. And the men swore potent threats at him. And the nation screamed for Justice, and craved for whatever else lay hidden in the secret to be brought to light. That same light that made the man Moh name himself Imòle, for like the son of man, he had perished so that the grave darkness and fearsome secrets in his industry be revealed. And so it is unto this very day both the young and the old the husband man and the fairmaidens are all screaming for Justice, and Yea Justice shall
prevail.

This is not a CV worthy of a CBN governorship position.

He has not held any executive or managerial position in any of the new generation bank before.

Not an Economist/Financial expert.

The CBN governor is the head of Nigeria economy and as such an occupant of such office must be a seasoned economist,a banking/financial expert with enormous wealth of experience in that field.

But dis one no follow at all.
