You have answers to that question. The problem with so many people about the Igbos is because they believe the tribe always want to dominate wherever they go. But in real life, how many Igbos have you seen making trouble on the street? We've had countless cases from Fulanis and Hausas but no one is calling them out. What I see in all these things is just pure envy for that tribe's industriousness. Igbos are not committing any crime by buying and building properties in other regions. They are not even asking to be part of the government. Just an enabling environment to do their business. Iamzik: Ok so there are no educated Yorubas or Yoruba business men living in South East? I just want to be sure that I understand what you mean |
Politics › Re: Reno Omokri Knocks People Gazette Post's On Diversity In LASG Appointments by pacesetting: 8:32am On Nov 29, 2023 |
That's because Igbos are not tribalist. They believe they are part and parcel of any environment they find themselves. Speaking about region, I ask again, have you ever been to the SE? If you have, you won't be talking about development, because no state in the SW is as developed as anybody of the SE states, apart from of cause the glorified Lagos. Everytime Igbos this Igbos that. If someone asks you what they have done, you won't even have a single answer. Na only envy dey disturb some of una. Iamzik: Of course Igbos are not like any other tribe. That is why you are scattered all over the country and cannot achieve anything as a region besides chest beating and meaningless arrogance.
You people are not wise. Instead of using your resources to develop your region, you go on wild goose chase to other regions and want to claim you own everything there. I just laugh at your foolishness because other tribes are playing a long game that you are too blind to see |

In the SE, you will count 1000 people before you see a single Yoruba person. And there is a 90% chance that that one is an Agbo seller. Nobody gives Agbo sellers employment in government offices. gadgethead: Maybe when the southeast creates an enabling environment and don't insist on indigenes alone for employment into their civil service, then you will see children from other tribes in schools, their parents will pay taxes and make meaningful contributions there. |
Politics › Re: Reno Omokri Knocks People Gazette Post's On Diversity In LASG Appointments by pacesetting: 7:07am On Nov 29, 2023 |
Have you been to the SE? Yorubas and Igbos can never be the same. While Yorubas prefer settling within their region, Igbos do not mind traveling far and wide for their business. How many mansions in the SE do Yorubas own? How many are doing business contributing meaningfully and paying tax? In Benue were I stay, it's the same thing. Igbos own a lot of properties there. They own the biggest shops and shopping malls there. But I can't find any Yoruba settlers apart from those ones selling Agbo on the street. That's the reality, but what I find in all of these is, envy is choking many of you. The earlier you people realize that Igbos are not like any other tribe, the better for everyone. flokii: What the Sardauna saw sitting in the sixties, some fo0lish Yoruba leaders are yet to see concerning the Igbos in 2023.. it was part of the reason they killed him (Ahmadu Bello) in the 15th January 1966 bloody Igbo coup.
They go about preaching diversity in other people's land, with other people's heritage but the story changes when it gets to their own region.. everything there in South East is reserved for Igbos alone but other people's jobs and political offices should be for everybody. No wonder Port Harcourt people hated them so much that they refused to return their properties to them after the civil war ended. Such a greedy and cunny bunch of people. |

Properties › Re: FHA set To Demolish 677 Houses In Festac Over Contravention by pacesetting: 2:06pm On Nov 20, 2023 |
Yes, one major problem Nigerians have is, they are largely ignorant of the law. Some of them go to the extent of buying houses without making sure that proper documentations are done. The government has the right to demolish houses built on the wrong channels. But, the same government still has a role to be proactive. The individuals are not the only ones losing during these demolitions. These are investments and properties wasted because the builder didn't do due diligence while the government wasn't proactive enough. Everyone knows the level of bureaucracies in government offices, even for highly sensitive matters. Here, I'm blaming the individuals for their oversight, as well as the government for their unclear policies and for always being reactive. THERE SHOULD BE A CLEAR COMMUNICATION BETWEEN THE PEOPLE AND THE GOVERNMENT. What stops them from putting a signpost at areas where people are not supposed to build houses? That's how it is done in other climes, even with their higher level of literacy! Angelfrost: You made very salient points, and I agree with you.
Unfortunately, there is always something called "ignorance of the law is no excuse for breaking the law".
The fact that no one enforces a law doesn't mean it is nonexistent. Let's learn to understand this.
Every state and city has something called geographical and Urban Master plan.
This means there are places marked for roads, pipes, drainages, trading, electricity installation, and specific areas for residential houses.
Building in undesignated areas, even if nodded on by a government official remains risky... In time to come, another government will destroy it.
I know of massive buildings set up and housing people for decades that were later demolished for the sole reason that they were blocking drainage since they were built on lands designated for such several decades ago... Or built on lands where roads and railway lines are initially meant to pass through.
The rule is to take extra pains to discuss with town planners and surveyors before proceeding with any project... Bribing officials can only be short-term relief. When the time is right in the future, that investment is going down. |
Properties › Re: FHA set To Demolish 677 Houses In Festac Over Contravention by pacesetting: 1:06pm On Nov 20, 2023 |
Which environmental law? Do you mean all these people that built houses there did not seek out approval from the government? I don't even want to start asking why all these demolitions shortly after the elections. Why would a sane person decide to build a house in an area not marked for buildings? Some of these houses have been there for more than 10 years, yet no action from the government. Abi their eyes just dey see the buildings now? The thing is, if you've ever dealt with government agencies, you'll know they are the most confused set of people. The government is very far away from the people, and their is no proper documentation of reserved areas. Angelfrost: The way some of us Nigerians disregard environmental laws and state building regulations when erecting properties is so alarming.
You see some buildings, and you'd be wondering who approved the building or even permitted the sale of the land.
Some even build directly on major drainages, or under power lines... Such moronic lawless citizens. |

You could be one of the stupid and useless loan shark agents wey people don swear for, since you lack manners to talk in public. A loan app will show you 20k as loan amount to pay 24k in a week. When you click accept, they will credit you with 16k and write on the app that you're to repay 24k. What if you need that 20k to solve your problem at the moment? Where will you get the remaining amount. And once they credit your account, all the agents go AWOL so you can't contact them, only to remind you a day before the loan expiry date to pay your loan. Tell me if that is not a criminal act. GloriousGbola: are you an illiterate?
cant you read?
or are you just a special kind of stupid?
do you think a business will lend you money without creating interest?
why dont you have any friends or family lending you money?
maybe because like the loan sharks they ahve all tagged you fr what yo are a lazy entitled good for nothing who will take a loan for a party for bet 9ja or some other daft scheme
your argument is as follows.
i need a loan the only service that will give me the loan is a loan shark. i will take the loan but they are wicked people who have told me i will pay high interest on the capital this justifies my failure to repay the loan
