I bet you didn't read what was written above. Keep your eyes closed and pretend as if you don't know what's going on in this country. This is House of Rep matter, but you must find a way to add Peter Obi in your comment. TooNoisy: When Obidients win, they wouldn't complain, but if it was the other way round, they would have started the insults and attacks on our esteemed judiciary.
Thankfully, Supreme Court will soon dismiss their appeal at the Presidential level and hopefully they will rest for 3 years till Peter Obi decides to wake wake time again. |

Equality of every citizens right? But they don't have a governor, and only one senator. What do you say about that, Mr. Equality? Ezewuzie01: The supreme court like the appeal court, will uphold the constitution of equality of citizens before the law. That every vote is equal and not more important than another. The citizens are a different legal entity from the state. If FCT has a special status, fine but it does not overide equality of all citizens in every part of Nigeria as enshrined in the constitution. |

Abuja has a unique status in Nigeria. That's why no tribe can come out and say we own this place, just as they are doing in Lagos and other places. It doesn't have a governor. So, why treat it like a state only during elections? Ezewuzie01: Sounds like propaganda until the case is actually instituted. FCT residents don't have two heads to be hold veto power over other citizens of Nigeria. Their case will be thrown out. All the justices of the appeal and supreme courts are indigenes of certain states and you can take it to the bank that none of them will ever accept the wrong interpretation that voters in their own states are inferior to FCT residents. |

You're not looking at the bigger picture. Do you think everything is now good? It's obvious that the military were prepared for anything yesterday. When it happens, they may not be prepared. If the government continues to go this way, the revolt will happen, and it's more likely starting from the North. Omenlon: By now I thought Nigeria would have been on fire going by the threats and ranting of the obideints on social media. Even their mentor who called himself Area Fada hid under his bed when Asare Dukunbo boys were in Abuja yesterday. Lesson learnt: don't be carried away by social media it will lead you to doom. |

You guys are always after stomach infrastructure. No merit at all. Ireti has been actively involved in Abuja matters for a long time. But sorry you hear, because the Obidient movement has come to stay. LegendHero: Labor party caused that. Because Abuja people lost their thinking to some ELupee nonsense party, they sold their only senatorial ticket to a non indigene like Ireti.

There must be a better way to curb the issue. It could include getting mods more involved in the direction of a thread on the front page. I know in some cases, the mods intentionally post some twisted headings to drive traffic, but there are other better ways to maintain engagements. For instance, I see some important news getting to the front page three or four days later. In some other cases, some highly educative topics never get to make front page even after members have asked. Nairaland can do far better than this to be honest. I used to enjoy the level of engagement on the forum years back. nairalanda1: Anonymity reduces inhibitions, which can lead to a lot of people saying all sorts of things.
The problem is, remove annonimity on this site, and let people log in using their realnames and identity, and you get people's privacy invaded. |

The banning aspect has been on for a long time, but it has not been effective enough. Seun needs to explore other more effective options. The problem is that, even some of the mods are guilty of the bigotry here. Now the question is, how can it work when the mods are promoting it? Many of us are guilty of these things. It takes a strong will for someone to reply politely when they are being insulted. Foreigners also read this forum. Is Seun not aware of the image battery going on here? crossfm: Hehehe.
If they start banning people for 6 months and above, they will reduce the nonsense.
Some of them now see bigotry and tribalism as a way of life. The thing is becoming too boring.
