Rotimi Amaechi in a recent Interview with Forbes TV, the Minister of Transport released a statement narrating the part he played in the letter Sanusi sent to Formaer President Goodluck Jonathan about the missing $49.8 billion from NNPC account
The Emir in an interview said the letter caused problems between Jonathan and himself after someone exposed it to former President Olusegun Obasanjo. Sanusi confirmed that Amechi was behind the leaked letter to the public

“To put the records straight, we want to categorically state that a concerned and patriotic Nigerian who felt sufficiently troubled with what was happening then, gave a copy of the Sanusi letter to Amaechi, in Amaechi’s capacity, at the time, as Chairman of Nigerian Governors’ Forum, NGF. Like Amaechi, we should appreciate that concerned Nigerian’s patriotism. When Amaechi got the letter, he spoke with Sanusi, who was still the CBN governor, to confirm the authenticity of the letter. Sanusi confirmed to Amaechi that he wrote the letter. During their conversation, Amaechi made it abundantly clear to the then CBN governor that the bleeding of the nation had to be stopped, all non-remitted funds remitted and that he (Amaechi) was going to use the letter to do whatever was in the best interest of the nation and Nigerians, which was the stoppage of the non-remittance and the recovery of all the non-remitted funds from oil sale. The CBN governor didn’t agree with Amaechi on the way forward. Considering that the letter was given to Amaechi as Chairman of the Governors’ Forum, he shared the letter with his colleague governors first, and with Senator Bukola Saraki (now Senate President), who before and around that period, was doing some work or/and investigation around the oil sector in the Senate. Around that period, a delegation from the United States of America government, from the offices of the Secretaries of State and Defense, visited Amaechi in Port Harcourt to discuss the issue of oil theft in Nigeria. From their records, they gave Amaechi figures of about $7 billion, annually, that was being lost to oil theft in Nigeria. They were discussing the issue and figures of oil theft, and that was how the CBN governor’s letter to President Jonathan came up. In the presence of journalists covering the visit, Amaechi brought out the Sanusi letter to the visiting American delegation to buttress the point that Nigeria was losing far more money to non-remittance of proceeds from oil sale into the Federation Account, which everyone seemed to concur, was in itself, another form and another dimension to the issue of oil theft. A 44 year old mother, Anastasia Novikova-Sosina was murdered by son, Egor Sosin, 19 for persuading him to have sex with her.
The 19 year old explained that his mother had wanted to have sex with him, and he had refused, before he brutally attacked her, as reported by a witness.
Egor said he was hoping to 'expel the devil' from his mother which led to him strangling her to death with the cable of a phone charger in a Russian hotel.

The School Management has said that they may have to wait at home for one month before returning to school.
The university Mangement has refuse claims of rusticating only the said Tunji Epeti Michael, saying nine students were rusticated, reprimanded or discharged from Independence Hall for either leading a protest or illegal occupation.
the outcome of an emergency Senate meeting which was presided over by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Idowu Olayinka, ratified the decision of the management shut down the school.
Tunji Michael who was supposed to be doing his six months internship came back to lead the protest, due to his political ambition to become the Administrator General.
According to the Vice-Chancellor that the University requires N80million monthly to maintain overhead cost and the halls of residence. It was said to have received N42.5million from January to April.

Jean-Claude Mas, 76, the founder of Poly Implant Prothese (PIP), was on Monday given a four-year prison sentence.
His company was manufacturer of defective breast implants that caused a health scare across Europe and South America.
The court also upheld the 2013 trial’s order that Mas pay 75,000 euros ($86,000) and be banned for life from working in medical services or running a company. According to The guardian an Auckland librarian was amazed when an old woman walked in with a copy of “Myths and Legends of Maoriland” by AW Reed.
She told the librarian she had first checked the book out as a young girl, and had been meaning to return it for the last 67 years.

“She seemed a bit embarrassed but I was pleased because she said she had read and enjoyed the book many times over the decades and that made me happy – that the book had been in a good home and loved,” said librarian Zoe Cornelius.
The overdue book had been on loan for a total of 24,605 days by the time it found its way back.
The checkout slip put the library fine under the old New Zealand currency system, with three pence for the first week and an additional penny every day after.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday pleaded with the World Bank to do all they can to repatriate Abacha’s stolen funds still being held by Swiss authorities.
He made this known at a meeting which witnessed the presence of the visiting World Bank Managing Director, Ms. Sri Mulyani Indrawati, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, quoted the President as saying that the repatriation of the additional $320m in Switzerland, which has been identified as illegally taken from Nigeria under the Abacha administration, would help to ease the current economic hardship facing the country.
President Muhammadu Buhari gave his assurance to Indrawati that his administration was taking appropriate steps to ensure that public funds are no longer stolen or misappropriated by government officials.
The President said, “We need the support of the World Bank for the repatriation of the funds.
“We are as concerned as the World Bank about accountability. If such repatriated funds have been misapplied in the past, I assure you that the same will not happen with us.
“$320m is a lot of money and we will not allow it to be misappropriated or diverted.
One of the conditions given by the Swiss authorities for the repatriation of the funds is that it should be expended on the implementation of social programmes for the benefit of the Nigerian people in an efficient and accountable way, guaranteed by the monitoring of the World Bank.
