I want to confirm if the 1 month before school resumes is still applicable. Because even if one decides to travel now, will immigration not bounce u?

Please I would like to clarify the lump sums issue. If for instance the lump sums has been in the account seven months before application must you still justify it after explaining in LOE.

If you have a sitting balance of NGN 9.5m, C$10,000 GIC, and a full year's fees receipt payment, you don't need to include a co-sponsor if you don't want to. However, any lump sum should be explained and justified. This has been the undoing for most applicants refused for "Personal Assets & Financial Status" despite meeting the necessary financial requirement.

In answering your question, if he is a sponsor or co-sponsor, the need to include his financial record is important. If he is acting only as a support to offset part of your study expenses, including his bank record becomes optional. A letter of support stating his commitment and how it will or has been offset can be highlighted in it.

I submitted March 1st. I actually got my response May 25th. I think mine was a bit fast cos I didn't submit so much documents for them to review.

My application was also refused based on personal assets and financial status. Tbh, my application was quite shoddy (Submitted very basic documents).It was months after applying I got to know of Nairaland and sincerely I commend everyone's effort for the input ( The info put out here is amazing). I have learnt a lot which will be applied in my next application.
I am self sponsored. I submitted my usd dollar account with lump payments in 2 tranches without any explanation.

I didn't also attach my salary account since there was no fund it which I realised I should have done now and not enough evidence i was gainfully employed. I just submitted basic documents(mbs, b.sc cert, transcripts,c.v and previous visas to various countries; realising based on this thread that won't influence the decision)
Although I tried salvaging my application after already 5 weeks off showing eligibility required by sending a webform with a more detailed LOE and additional documents. Thanks to Shupy for responding to my enquiries.

I got my refusal letter 2 weeks later. I have ordered for my gcms notes, trying to wait patiently for it. My admission was for fall 2021 but will have to defer till January 2022.
P.s I submitted in March, NSE route.

Any reason for sending additional documents to them? If you did included these documents with your application, there is no need resending it to the immigration.

No sir, I didn't send them in my initial application and no letter of explanation either. I only sent an sop with basic docs such as my bank statement, staff id, promotion letter and visas for previous travels

LOE and statement of purpose are basically the same thing. Countries just interchange the term. Yes, you can address your concern with an updated statement. However you would have been in a much better situation if you had ordered a GCMS note. It takes about 30 days for you to get it. The problem is that decision might be made on your application while waiting for GCMS assessment of your application.

Many thanks for your response. Can I then explain how I got the lump sum dollars early last year by backing it up with a statement of investment. Do u advise i attach my salary account(although there is no money in it). Also can I now attach my employment letter and how can I proof ties since I am also single. Thanks once again

I just saw the thread online and joined yesterday. Thanks for all the info you guys provide. It is really eye opening.
I realised I made a lot of errors in my application and I want to confirm if there i can remedy this before a decision is made. I applied for financial planning as a Pdg course. I studied economics as an undergraduate and work in a bank.
1. I applied using the Nse route march 1st. I am sponsoring myself.
2. I didn't attach a letter of explanation as I didn't know what it meant. All I did was attach a statement of purpose and submitted my additional documents, My degree certificate, acca certificate, promotion letter(as I couldn't find my employment letter), staff idcard, evidence of previous travel history (UK, Us, Dubai).
Also I used just my dollar account for proof of funds as I had previously converted my funds to Dollars about a year ago. The funds came as 2 lump sums then.
3. I didn't really establish family ties as I don't have siblings and my mum is late. Just my Dad.

My application is currently showing eligibility under review and background check in progress.

I want to confirm if I can still submit a LOE and additional documents to help my application.

hi guyz (my fellow june 20 batch) any idea wen we are going to training school. i heard from someone that we would have to wait till june. i dont want to believe this so i jst wanna ask if any you know wen will be goin to training school? @ brauny, phirmmzy do u have a clue?

@ efehiea. It is true dt gt now pays 209k. The reason is due to d implmentatn of ifrs in nig. So d tax has reduced thereby increasn d take home
