*Court Grant 15 days more for NDLEA to keep Ace Comedian Baba Suwe,

A Federal High Court in Lagos on Friday approved a request by the Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) to further keep popular comedian, Babatunde Omodina, a.k.a Baba Suwe in custody for 15 more days.

Justice Okechukwu Okeke made the order after entertaining arguments on an ex-parte application from NDLEA’s lawyer, Theresa Asuquo.
The application was supported by a 29-paragraph affidavit deposed to by an NDLEA intelligence officer, Femi Johnson Osifuye and a CT scan result issued by a consultant radiologist with the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Dr Subhash Vijayvargiya.
The result, according to the affidavit, confirmed that Baba Suwe has large amount of narcotic drugs in his body. The NDLEA, it would be recalled, had arrested the comedian on October 12 while trying to board an Airfrance to Paris on suspicion that the scanning machine at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport indicated that he had ingested substances suspected to be hard drugs.
According to the affidavit, Osifuye averred that following Baba Suwe’s arrest, the man was placed on observation pending when he would excrete the ingested substances, but that while on observation, Baba Suwe refused to eat claiming that he eats only once in three days.
He added that as a result of Baba Suwe’s refusal to eat, he had not excreted the ingested substances.
According to Osifuye, after the comedian made the second excretion and no substance was found, the NDLEA had to take him to LASUTH for another CT scan for a second opinion on whether he indeed ingested the narcotic drugs, and the test confirmed large amount of drugs in his body.
Besides, the agency stressed that it would be in the interest of the suspect to excrete the ingested substances so as to prevent them from bursting in his abdomen, a situation the agency argued might lead to his death.

This is unbelievable. I knw GTBank has anti-skimmers on their ATMs (I started noticing this recently) to protect cards from skimming. The scammers must have noticed a vulnerability with the particular ATM. We need to inform GTBank about this ASAP. I'm sure they will act accordingly to prevent future cases.

I am actually really pissed off by most of these nairaland males. Imagine! Condemning the girl for breaking off with such a man when not too long ago i was reading something similar about a girl who confessed to her guy on her own free will that she dated another guy while they were courting and these same NL guys were advising the guy to drop the girl and now they are telling the OP all sort of silly things.

@ OP reading your first post and consecutive ones i really think you also have issues though am not absolving your husband. You have been given great advice in this forum and i think you should stop thinking of leaving your home.

I am a business woman but i freelance which is i am not really different from a full time wife. I am newly wedded and expecting my first child, naturally i hate dressing up now cuz somethings nauseates me but still that doesn't mean i don't try! As a matter of fact i have already discussed with my hubby on me getting back into shape, i have registered in a gym and dearie once this cute bundle is born i will wait 2months then baby am gonna hit the gym! That doesn't mean am stopping breastfeeding.

My husband always lays emphasis on me dressing good cuz it doesn't portray him well if i don't cuz of my profession. I would have uploaded a pic of mine right now but u know naija and don't broadcast ur pregnancy issue.

Be an angel to him, stop complaining instead find solution. The problem most of us Nigerian women have is that we neglect our responsibilities to our husband all in the name of children. My weight before preggy was 48kg but right now am like 62kg though i haven't popped d bun yet but sincerly i love my small stature and am going to struggle to get back to atleast 50kg! Hope that's possible

Well it wont stop them from cheating, Anyways we now have single guys who wear rings so it doesn't matter anymore. Even as a woman i have had some experiences of men asking me if actually my ring is wedding ring or just for fashion!
