Ex-President Robert Mugabe is reportedly worth more than $1bn despite his country being one of the poorest in the world.

Mugabe’s wealth has come under the microscope following a military coup earlier in the week.

The 93-year-old dictator has accumulated significant wealth during his rule under which thousands of people have been killed over the past 37 years.

Local media reports suggest a small part of his fortune was reaped from Zimbabwe’s diamond deposits. Mugabe owns the Zimbabwe Consolidated Diamond Co.

He has repeatedly been accused of stealing from the country’s coffers, while he also reportedly acquired 15 acres of land during land seizures in 2000.

According to a 2001 US diplomatic cable, later released by the whistle-blowing organisation WikiLeaks, Mugabe has about $1.75bn worth of assets, mostly invested outside Zimbabwe.

It said that while reliable information was difficult to find, there were rumours his assets “include everything from secret accounts in Switzerland, the Channel Islands and the Bahamas to castles in Scotland.”

Opposition politicians have claimed the Mugabes own 14 farms in the bankrupt country, which would be in contravention of the constitution, which limits land holdings.

The best known is the Omega Dairy farm, one of the largest dairy farms in southern Africa.

Although the family has claimed not to be wealthy, Mugabe has flaunted his wealth in the past. Just three years ago, he famously dined on elephant and lion meat at his lavish 90th birthday celebrations.

Mugabe’s home in Harare is said to be extraordinarily opulent but it’s not the only mansion in his property portfolio. The president purchased a $5.2m mansion in Hong Kong in 2013 and also owns Hamilton Palace in Sussex, UK, which was estimated to be worth about $40m before it became a construction site.

He is also said to own a custom-built Mercedes Benz s600L that is able to withstand AK-47 bullets, landmines and grenades. It also features a CD and DVD player, internet access and anti-bugging devices.

The Citizen reported that Mugabe — who is a trained teacher — also owns a Rolls-Royce Phantom IV: a colonial-era British luxury car so exclusive, only 18 were ever manufactured.

The vintage black car is estimated to be worth more than Zimbabwe’s entire GDP.

1. Corruption: Nigerians are known for their level of corruption. That is why if you go to some countries, they despise Nigerians so much. When it comes to corruption, ranking of Nigeria is worse. They bribe to have their way into power, into school, even into getting a life partner. They are so vast in duping people.
2. Producing Fake things: it is only in Nigeria people find pleasure in making imitation. It is only in Nigeria you see a particular drug made from different manufacturers. You see ABA made and so on. They can't make anything real except fake. Fake butt, fake orgasm, fake life, fake soap and so on.
3. Self Pity: we like to gain unnecessary attention to ourselves. You see someone with complete body parts going about begging. You see people crying just to gain attention. Unnecessary weird stuffs.
4. Funny Facial look; once you see them with pot belly, bleached skin, unnecessary fats and tribal marks. You already know you are in Nigeria. It is only in Nigeria you see most of these weird features.
5. Shouting UP NEPA: you know you are in Nigeria when there is electricity supply and people start to jump round shouting ''UP NEPA''. You see people bringing out phones to charge and doing funny things. Only in Nigeria, lol.

The world is widely populated with all sorts of people from various parts. You get to meet different people daily and it is almost impossible to say you wouldn't come across these category of people. Different kinds of weird people from annoying to abnormal to weird and unbelievable. There are some you meet and you wish you never came across them. Still, these are the people that makes it all funny at the end of the day.

While going through this piece, I'm sure you must have seen most if not all of the people mentioned here at one point in your life.

1. The cross dressers: these people are so unbelievable. They dress just like the opposite sex and find pleasure in doing so without any regret. They do makeups, put on heels and change some parts of their body do fit in like the opposite sex. They are so good at doing this and they get criticized for doing so. The likes of Denrele, bobrisky, charly boy belong to this category.

2. The corporate beggars : these people are widely spread round the continents. They beg for almost anything. There is no big deal in begging, but it becomes annoying when you turn this to a hobby and see it as your right. Some of these people have their body parts complete and still find it cool begging. They go as far as acting insane, saying they have one ailments or the other.

3. The homosexuals : these ones prefer sleeping with same sex. I mean of all ways to satisfy your urge, you feel it's cool enough to have fun with same Sex. They touch themselves and find much pleasure in doing so. Sometimes, o can't help but imagine where the enjoyment is coming from. Some of them even dress and act like the opposite sex, they are just a bit different. I think this is insane, don't you think so too?

4. The fake pastors: I think the people in this category are worst than any other. The church ministry has been bastardized that everyone is going into it. You see fake pastors widely spread round the world. Some go about doing deliverance with snakes, ropes,handkerchief and the likes. Sometimes, you can't help but ask what people are looking for in places like that. You see a man of God looking dope like youths in the world.

5. The wannabees : the people in this category live fake lives trying to impress people. They do everything possible to fit in. They spend on what is not so important just to feel good about themselves. They are always everywhere seeking attention.

6. Community touts: honestly, these people are irrelevant to any society. The only thing they do is disturb community peace and try to have a share of everything possible. 5. Mainland is ever bubbling : there is never a dull moment on the mainland. Even if you get bored, there are other places to go to, mainland is the life of Lagos, even though many people don't agree. There is always a place to go when you are in Lagos.

I've grown from strength to strength

Childhood memories are meant to be cherished, remembered and appreciated. Life was so much fun back then with little or no worries. Growing up is a trap, you start to take responsibilities, meet different people and so on. Childhood memories were so much of a big deal back then.

These are some of the childhood memories that were so much of a big deal and still lingers on today.

1.Mummy and Daddy: most kids from 80’s and 90’s enjoyed this game. It was fun filled acting like a matured couple even as kids. It was more like hide and seek game. This game was the real deal back then.

2.Writing Names of Noise Makers: This is one list you wouldn’t ever wish your name was. The list was for those ones fond of disturbing the classroom. Everyone suddenly becomes close to the person writing the list. Once your name is on the list, you are in for it.

3.Putting on Christmas clothes: if your mum never dressed you up for Christmas, then you didn’t enjoy growing up. Christmas outfits was a big deal for us then. Most times, we get too excited that we mess up the clothes before party begins. Christmas clothes came with sunglasses, wrist watch and so on.

4. Going for Parties: most kids back then enjoyed going for parties. Either end of the year party, birthday party or any. We cried so much if we are not taken along for these parties. We just loved the idea of going for parties, participating in games and so on.

5.Outdoor Games: if you didn’t play games like ‘’suwe, my name my name, tinko tinko’’, then you really missed. There were so many games back then that was seen as a big deal. Unlike now that computer game has taken over.

5. Fighting Over Little Things: often times, couples fight over what is not so important. I hope you know you are married to this person forever. Fighting over irrelevant things and not looking for ways to settle it. Fights are bound to happen, It is just important to know how to solve it.

6. Still acting single: you are married already and should act like one. There is no point still hanging out late with friends, when you have someone waiting for you at home. Now you’ll need to negotiate how much time to spend with friends and how to maintain your former friendship while balancing that with your marriage.

7. Unrealistic Expectations: many couples going into marriage with some expectations that are so unimaginable. There is no big deal in having fantasies, wishes, expectations and so on.
