Here is where the problem still lies BBC Saturday 13 April 2019 Two hours ago << Speaking on TV, Lt-Gen Abdel Fattah Abdelrahman Burhan (said) the army would maintain "peace, order and security" across Sudan during an already announced transition period that would last at most two years until elections could be and civilian rule introduced, he added. >> The Sudan Professionals Association (SPA), which has been spearheading the demonstrations urged the armed forces to "ensure the immediate transfer of power to a transitional civilian government." It also called for protests to continue. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-47918736 |
Preshy561:Yes. Thank you. |
It is funny how those who badly lost the transparent, democratic and fair presidential election in Nigeria are dreaming about general Buhari becoming the next Al Bashir. Some people are either drunk or they got high . Keep dreaming , it is a good remede after catastrophically losing an election. ![]() |
TooMuchStuff:He was elected twice. ![]() |
He did not step down then. He was kicked out of power in the midst of street protests. |
Which SADC country would be your best choice to invest your money, taking into account variables such as : political stability, the fiscal system, accountability, transparency, public safety, strength of the economy, the paperwork and the time it would take to start a business, how welcoming people are, transportation, telecommunication, the cost of living , roads quality, shipping, and the office system. SADC countries are: Angola The Republic of Angola covers 1,247,000 km² in the western region of Southern Africa. Botswana Botswana is a completely landlocked country in the centre of Southern Africa. One of Southern Africa’s longest rivers, the Okavango, flows into the north-western part of the country, forming the UNESCO World Heritage Site Okavango Delta. Botswana shares borders with South Africa, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Comoros The Union of the Comoros was admitted to SADC at the 37th SADC Summit of Heads of State and Government in August 2017, then became a full member at the 38th Summit of Heads of State and Government on August 2018 in Windhoek Namibia. Democratic Republic of Congo The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), formerly known as the Republic of Zaire, is geographically the largest state in Southern and Central Africa. Within this small area each feature of Africa’s terrain, apart from desert, is to be found. Lesotho The Kingdom of Lesotho is situated in the south eastern region of Southern Africa, covering an area of 30,355 km² and is entirely surrounded by South Africa. Lesotho’s geographical formation is characterised by high mountains and deep valleys, and it is the only country in the world to have all its entire territory located at more than 1,000 metres above sea level. More than 75 % of Lesotho is mountainous, with only 25 % considered lowland. It is a large island, stretching 1,580 km from north to south and 600 km from east to west, with a coastline of about 5,000 km. The topography is varied; hilly in the north and in the central part of the island (high plateaus with altitude between 1,200 and 1,500 metres) and plains in the east, west and south. Malawi Malawi is a landlocked country, located in southern central Africa along the western part of the Great Rift Valley of Africa. Mauritius The Republic of Mauritius is situated in the south west Indian Ocean, approximately 2,400 km from the south east coast of Africa, located just to the north of the Tropic of Capricorn. The island is only 67 km in length and 46 km at its widest point, with a total land area of 2,040 km², owing its origins to submarine volcanic activity. Although the volcanoes are long since dormant, they have left their mark on the profile and landscape of the island. Mozambique Mozambique lies on the east coast of Southern Africa, measuring a total of some 799,380 km² in area. The country borders the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zimbabwe, South Africa and Swaziland. The land-locked country is bounded by Mozambique to the east, Zambia to the north and north west, South Africa to the south, and to the south west by Botswana. It lies wholly within the tropics and is part of the great plateau which traverses Africa ( Source https://www.sadc.int/member-states/ ) |
Nigeria : Population 191 million ( almost two times one hundred ). Presidential election: one term = 4 years Term limits : 2 Senegal. Population: Less than 16 ( sixteen) million Burkina Faso : Population Less than 20 ( twenty) million Curiously in both countries not long ago, the president was elected for SEVEN ( 7 ) YEARS term limits : 2 So two terms = 14 years. Are those countries' establishments saying they had more to do than what Nigerians had to deal with ? |
Best way to go : India ,China and Pakistan all out of that region and let it become an independent sovereign country. |
Naijaalive:One reason why we voters and candidate supporters must take it easy , because some politicians have actually no friend, no tribe, no race, no state of origin, and no agenda beside filling their own pockets and living a lavish life. |
There are many African countries where judges don' t put anything on their heads. Zimbabwe better start re- thinking . |
Time for a strongman to put Libya back on track. Russia denies supporting Khalifa Haftar and his forces in Libya Libya crisis: Fighting flares on outskirts of Tripoli |
We are waiting to see the EU ( European Union , France, UK, the International Monetary Fund , etc) and some African countries such as Botswana threaten the U.S. They would flex their muscle had this been an African country that revoked Bensouda's visa. |
Scores of dead by gunshots .every day isn't enough. Not a surprise, this city is a failure. |
Endgame for a guy you enjoyed conspiring and undermining his predecessors. Good riddance. |
Allassane Ouattara, the French stooge, self - styled president deported anti -CFA Panafricanist Kemi Seba from Cote d' Ivoire on the ground Seba' s presence in Abidjan will disturb peace. https://www.africanews.com/2019/03/29/anti-cfa-activist-kemi-seba-reacts-amid-ivory-coast-deportation/ Ouattara himself is an usurper and an illegal immigrant from Burkina Faso. He should be deported to his country of origin . ![]() |

You can spin but the fact remains : Islam is for beheading infidels and plundering their goods. It is not a religion of peace and has never been. |
They were hijacking ships on purpose to 'raise' money and start a jihad. |
Samhetalks:They must comply with the labour rules and regulations otherwise either or all the following might happen : 1. Being fiined by the government. 2. Their Union workers taking them to court or/and going on strike . 3. Their Union workers taking the issue before the I.L.O ( international Labour Organization) https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Labour_Organization 4. Private sector business owners filing a lawsuit against the government for favoritism and discriminatory practices. This been said, if the banking system complied with minimum wage increase, like any other For- profit business they will minimize the costs and increase profit by taking either or all the following steps: 1. Downsizing 2. Increasing penalties ( overdraft fee , etc.). 3. Lowering interest rates on saving accounts etc. |
What are you speaking? Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo , or English ? |
Iraq Vs Saudi Arabia with Saddam in power in Iraq. No match, the Iraqi Republican Guards would drink tea in the king's palace in Ryad , only 24 hours after the beginning of the war. |
jesmond3945:An intellectual who give in to absolutism. Funny with your Africa has no religion and no language.Might be writing from another planet . The slave code act in 1807 ! When did slavery start in America ? 1619 when that Deutsch slave ship brought 20 African Slaves to the British Colony of Jamestiwn Virginia. From that date to 1807 , how many years was that ? Almost two centuries ( 200 years ) not two weeks, not two months ,not two years , but 200 years ! Do you know what happened in the years around 1807? See industrial revolution timeline in England https://webs.bcp.org/sites/vcleary/modernworldhistorytextbook/industrialrevolution/Timeline.html As far as the commies are concerned they say they have no colony in Africa. They are not taking refugees because they did not plunder Africa . Ask the French ,the British, the Deutsch, the Portuguese and Spain. Ask the French why they overthrew Modibo Keita in Mali when he tried to get his country out of the Franc CFA ( a colonial currency mandated by De Gaulle). Ask why President Olympio of Togo was killed . Why Tombalbaye of Chad was killed. Ask why Ruben of Cameroon, Felix Moumie and Ouinde were killed in Cameroon. |
OyinbowithaTan:Yeah , as if Africans were in control of their lands during and before WW2. All this sounds like the time before the invasion of Irak when Tony Blair was saying "Saddam Hussein is about to launch missiles ". Big time propaganda. |
What you mean ? Do you mean "will the banking sector also be compelled to increase minimum wage" or are you talking about the indirect effect minimum wage increase will have on the banking system? |
In a world where radical Muslims are gearing up to put in place a worldwide caliphate and chop the heads of infidels, the US presidential election will again slide off the roads to talk about a male having kissed or touched a woman. The sickening part of all this is these women come out 35 years or 40 years after the allegations took place. . |
Note also African countries gained their independence in the 1950s and 1960s thanks to WW2. |
jesmond3945:Do you know how many Nigerians ( Igbo,Yoruba, Hausa ,...) died to save Europe from Hitler ? Do you know the exact number ? How were Nigerians WW2 veterans paid compared to those from the UK ? Talking about Europeans having abolished slavery ? Well, check the timeline of the industrial revolution. The more technology was being used in farming, road infrastructure and other civil works at affordable price, the less slave masters needed slaves. Buying a machine that could do the same job as 100 slaves was less costly and above all posed no risk compared to having to get on a boat , travel for one month or more to go to African jungles and risk one's life to capture slaves. That was why they stopped slavery for " human reasons" the same way they stopped using horses in farming and transportation when cars were invented. Got it ? ! Remember this : When the industrial revolution was coming to life, slave masters had already spent two or three centuries practicing slavery and making big fortunes out of slave labor. About your " ours own brothers sold us " stuff. It is pure nonsense when you know Europeans came to Africa with chains and guns on purpose to capture slaves. They waged devastating wars, burning down kingdoms, kidnapping Kings , peasants, men, women and children on purpose to deport them to the so - called New World and use them as free labor. Personally I had an uncle who died 40 years ago ( 1979) at the age of 100 or more. Still remember when he was telling us how during the late 1800 , people were running away from the white man , how women had to kill their own babies to prevent the baby from crying in the bush. It was the cries of the babies that help slave hunters locate anyone in hiding. Those stories are not from a book written by a " compassionate Christian and former slave owner who apologised " after making a fortune from slave labor. Back to the good Samaritan during the war in Nigeria. Have you heard about Jacques Baulin? He was an former influencial advisor to president Houphouet Boigny of Cote d' Ivoire? Baulin was a Christian. He was one of the Europeans who couldn't stand the size of Nigeria. They were afraid Nigeria could become an African superpower.Baulin wrote a book in which he spent most of his time complaining why Nigeria was so big . Him and other imperialists were behind the scene , taking advantage of the mayhem in Nigeria to fuel the civil war. It comes to no surprise when Ojuku fled to Cote d' Ivoire for asylum when things turned ugly. Now Markel. She accpeted refugees thanks to her humble background in East Germany where she was born. She grew up under a communist Soviet - style regime, and learned how to help without always expecting any financial profit . |
jesmond3945:You contradicted yourself when said you had more issues with Arabs and no issue with Europeans, after stating that one cannot excuse the lesser devil while leaving out the bigger one. Are you saying slavery under Europeans helm was a heavenly act ? Nonetheless you asked some interesting questions about Christianity striving in Africa and Black Americans being Christians. The answer to your question is simple: Europeans are liars and hypocritical. Many of them are atheists and opportunists. They twisted Christianity to serve they imperialist needs. They joked about having used religion to conquer peoples in foreign lands. They even joked about sins, the same way the inhabitants of Sodom and Gomorrah laughed when God warned them. You know how those two cities ended. The time is not far when an African Pope will be appointed to rid the Church of pedophiles and usurpers. |
