BBC French version is reporting on unrest in Harare, with young people burning tires and blocking streets. It was on www.bbc.com/afrique today in the morning, the article has been deleted.

French African weekly Newspaper Jeune Afrique is saying the military controls only a part of the capital, not all areas.

Any harm to president Mugabe will result in a swift retaliation within or from outside Zimbabwe.
Watch,
The first thing in the coming days will be a A.U mission going to Zimbabwe to see President Mugabe and have him make a public statement not censored by those useless coup leaders. Africa cannot let such an historical figure go down like that at the hands of those criminals. Before the coup the army chief and the disgraceful Vice president were rumored to have stolen millions of dollars in a diamond scandal.
No surprise the military targeted the minister of finances in the first place, to make him hide the facts.

No matter what the reason is, placing President Robert Mugabe under house arrest is in itself an act of war on Panafricanists and utterly a spit on the dignity of Africa that will not be tolerated.
That is why PanAfricans

from Guinea - Conakry to Ethiopia
Will NOT sut on the sidelines and let the zimbabwean traitors cause any harm to president Mugabe and his family, again no matter what ' revolution' the rogue Zimbabean military regime that is coming out says.
It should clearly be understood that if President Mugabe is not freed from any restraint , if he does not have any opportunity to perform his presidential duties t' il the entd of his term, then all panafricanists will meddle and the rogue military regime will bear the consequences.
They will not let a devoted leader who fought for African dignity and endured the racist thunder of the colonialists for decades being treated that way.
You thug soldiers get ready for a guerilla war starting from within and from all countries surroufring Zimbabwe, plus all other African countries.

Zimbabwe crisis: Soldiers 'take over broadcaster ZBC'

Africa
Soldiers are reported to have taken over the headquarters of Zimbabwe's national broadcaster, ZBC, amid a growing political crisis.
Heavy gunfire and artillery have also been heard in northern suburbs, although the situation is unclear.
There has been no word so far from 93-year-old President Robert Mugabe.
Zimbabwe's ambassador in South Africa, Isaac Moyo, dismissed any talk of a coup and said the government was "intact".

Then the "coup" has failed. Old boy Mugabe has been alerted. The General shouldn't have opened his mouth-at least not yet. If Old Bob doesn't start picking up Generals like mushrooms from their various homes, then I will know that old age has really softened him. Remember how the 2015 coup in Burundi failed right? It had to do with some generals inability to shut their mouths and plan meticulously.
100 % agreed.
Once the military decides to interfere with the decision-making process in the political arena, it is a blatant act of insubordination and meddling. This general can be arrested.

Captured ISIS Fighter Blows Whistle: ‘We Work for the US Government’
September 29, 2017 rajaninair
A captured ISIS fighter has blown the whistle and confessed that the Islamic State terrorist group actually works for the US Government.

In a stunning admission of what many had already suspected, the high-ranking ISIS militant, who was apprehended by the Warfare Worldwide organization in Deir Ezzor, admitted that his regime has been working for the US Government to create unrest in Syria and overthrow President Bashar al-Assad.

His video confession has exposed some shocking new details about U.S.-ISIS collusion.

ISIS whistleblower, Mohammed Moussa al-Shawwakh, says that the U.S. and Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) guaranteed protection for them from the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies in exchange for entering gas and oil fields in the region in order to make propaganda videos.

LAV reports: Al-Shawwakh said that such kind of cooperation had acted in the Conoco gas field, allegedly captured by the SDF.

The fighter added that according to the agreements, ISIS terrorists were forbidden to attack Kurdish forces in Deir Ezzor.

A day later, Arab Today posted another video, where an ISIS terrorist had confirmed the cooperation between the U.S.-back Kurdish forces and ISIS.

Mohammed Hussein al-Hamad said that similar arrangements were followed by Kurds during the ‘liberation’ of the al-Izba and Jafra oil fields.

Besides, al-Hamad said that the SDF forces had often delivered the U.S.-made weapons to ISIS terrorists. These statements, in turn, explain such an active advance of U.S.-backed formations along the left bank of the Euphrates towards Deir Ezzor.

In addition, it becomes clear why all the positions seized by Kurds usually remain untouched after their ‘fierce battles’ against ISIS. It should be mentioned that three days ago independent media reported about evidence of cooperation between the U.S. and ISIS terrorists.

Video images showed U.S. Special Forces’ Hummer vehicles north of the town of Deir Ezzor, where ISIS militants are deployed. Despite that the U.S. strongholds being located in the ISIS areas, no screening patrol has been organized at them.

It is assumed that in this way the U.S. Armed Forces support the unhindered advancement of the SDF forces through ISIS positions.

According to many Syrian experts, that Washington and the U.S.-backed forces deliberately cooperate with ISIS terrorists in order to prevent the SAA’s from establishing full control over all oil fields in Deir Ezzor.

However, despite all the U.S. attempts to undermine the government forces, the SAA is confidently continuing to liberate and defend the territories seized by ISIS terrorists, making every effort to stabilize the situation in the country. >>

The Immigrants Among the Founding Fathers
By Patrick Young, Esq. - July 3, 201405411

As we approach July 4th, we often think back to the founders of this country and the framers of our Constitution for inspiration and guidance. They were, in many people’s minds, the quintessential Americans. We read books on the Founding Generation by the millions.

Yet we don’t usually think of them as immigrants. A look at who actually founded America tells us that the immigrant contribution to starting this country was much greater than is usually imagined.

Seven of the 39 men who signed the Constitution were immigrants. In fact, two of the three men most associated with its passage, Alexander Hamilton and James Wilson, were foreign-born. One of the three men who wrote the Federalist Papers explaining the Constitution was born abroad.

When George Washington chose Justices of the Supreme Court to interpret the Constitution, three of his choices were immigrants. James Wilson of Scotland, James Iredell of England, and William Patterson from Ireland made up the immigrant third of the original of the Supreme Court.

Four of the first six Secretaries of the Treasury were immigrants, one each from Switzerland and Scotland, and two from the West Indies. President Washington appointed an Irish immigrant, James McHenry, as Secretary of War in 1796.

Immigrants did not have to rely on Presidential appointment to hold important offices. Of the 81 Congressmen in the first Congress, eight were immigrants.

Immigrants were among the most important writers of the Founding Generation, crafting American ideas of democracy and freedom. The most famous of all, Tom Paine, came from England.

When civil liberties were threatened during John Adams’ administration, Irish-born editor of the Philadelphia Aurora, William Duane risked arrest to take on the president and his Alien and Sedition Acts. Vermont Congressman Matthew Lyon, also an Irish immigrant, was jailed under the Alien and Sedition Acts and he became the only Congressman to be reelected while in jail.

When Americans say that this country was “built by immigrants,” they rarely realize that, from the very beginnings, America’s system of government depended on those who came here from somewhere else.

EducationTalk About Your Best Memories From Elementary School Through College by panafrican(op): 2:31am On Oct 16, 2017
Elementary, middle and HS, plus college. Lots of good memories.
High school literature teacher was a communist, He wanted to remake the world. Kind of dogmatic who believed what he says. The philosophy teacher was a soft Christian.

One student challenged him on religion , asking " Sir Friedrich Nietzsche a German philosopher said GOD is dead ", what do you say about that.

Calmly the teacher replied " whether God exists or NOT, if you follow what he says , if you don't steal and don't go around married women, then you are better off , you won't get hurt , but if you don't follow that you might get hurt, not God "

The physics class in college was also fun when the instructor talked about Narvik ( or something, a city in Europe where you could see the sun at midnight. He said some tourists were lying pretending to see the sun when it was not there grin

High school boarding school was very fun with a discipline officer being fooled by a student. This officer was not an English speaking. When he stormed the dorms at 11:30 PM to see which student was still telling stories ( instead of sleeping) , he asked the bad boy " what's your name ?" the student replied " My name is NOBODY".
The next day on the suspension list from the discipline office we saw : The following students are expelled from the dorms for a week for making noise when they should be sleeping : 1. ....; 2....; 3. NOBODY.... grin grin 4.........

Another story : Middle school catholic youth retreat on Saturdays : At the retreat after the Bible study comes the dinner. We had to pray before eating. During the prayer one guy next to me was saying "oh this food smells good, can the priest stop praying now, his prayer is talking too long ! grin grin

I can also throw punches – Lungu
By Andrew Chileshe on October 14, 2017

PRESIDENT Edgar Lungu says people should not think that because he is President, he can’t throw punches.

And President Lungu says some individual should not dare him into a boxing ring because his punch will knock him out cold.

Speaking upon arrival in Ndola at Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe airport today, President Lungu said his silence does not mean he cannot hit back.

He boasted that if he decided to draw a punch and hit, he would not only strike but he would knock out the individual to a point where he would never stand up.

“Naka nyelele nga mwakatinta tinta kala suma, (even an ant can bite if you continue poking it)…it doesn’t mean nga ndesola ama koffi teti mpose (if I am ducking punches, it doesn’t mean I cannot throw. If I declare war on one individual, he shall not rise,”

President Lungu said in apparent reference to Roan PF member of parliament Chishimba Kambwili who has launched a vigorous campaign against corruption in the PF government.

Kambwili recently challenged Lungu to respond to his allegations of corruption at State House and dared law enforcement agencies to arrest him if what he was saying was not true.

However, State House, according to spokesperson Amos Chanda, has opted not to respond to Kambwili’s corruption allegations but “to ignore him”.

President Lungu said that he was a calm and composed man but the continuous antagonistic position against him would cause him to react.

Kambwili and opposition party leaders have also challenged President Edgar Lungu to explain to the nation the source of his sudden wealth.

President Lungu, however, said that his love and faith in God and Christianity were his guide in his rule.
