Foreign AffairsHezbollah Chief Rejects Cease-fire Extension; Says Israel Must Withdraw by panafrican(op):
Hezbollah chief rejects cease-fire extension; says Israel must withdraw without delay

BEIRUT, Lebanon, Jan. 27 (UPI) -- Hezbollah leader Sheikh Naim Qassem said Monday that Israel should withdraw from the occupied border areas in southern Lebanon, rejecting the extension of the cease-fire arrangements to Feb. 18.

"Israel should get out. ... We don't accept any extension of the deadline, and we will not accept any justification to prolong it even for a second," Qassem said in a speech broadcast by Hezbollah-run Al Manar television station.

"Israel should get out. ... We don't accept any extension of the deadline, and we will not accept any justification to prolong it even for a second," Qassem said in a speech broadcast by Hezbollah-run Al Manar television station.

His remarks came after the White House announced in a statement Sunday that a U.S.-brokered cease-fire agreement that ended the war between Lebanon and Israel on Nov. 27 "will remain in effect until Feb. 18."

The cease-fire's 60-day deadline expired at dawn Sunday, but Israel refused to complete the pullout of its forces from southern Lebanon, arguing that the Lebanese Army has been slow in redeploying, while Hezbollah still maintains its military presence in areas prohibited by the agreement.
Lebanon has accused the Israeli military of procrastinating its troop withdrawal.

Israel's decision to remain inside southern Lebanon prompted thousands of displaced residents to forcefully return to their towns and homes, most of which were destroyed by the 14-month war between Israel and Hezbollah that broke out in October 2023.

A total of 26 people were killed and 134 were wounded when Israeli forces opened fire on the returning residents Sunday and Monday, according to a new count by the Health Ministry.

Do you know why and how did it ?
he acted like that because he had a free ride in America talking about gay rights.

An ignorant person who knows nothing will likely believe you, but I'd expect you to respect yourself when not talking to such people.

Homosexually is not responsible for any dark ages, especially not in Wild Wild America where shooting and enslaving people is in its DNA.
You are part of the intrenched gay lobby that humiliated a whole country for decades and had no shame blackmailing foreign countries ( especially African country ) on purpose to impose your nonsense , worldwide.
Trump should round up gay people in America and send all of them to prison for life for the bad things they did to that country.

You are unable to understand the following:
1. Dark ages are not only about lawlessness that engulfed Europe after the demise of the Roman empire.
2. Dark ages are not only about warlords ramping, killing , burning and plundering lands by the mean of the
sword and the guns.
3. Dark ages are NOT only about wicked slave masters using enslaved people like cattle over centuries and centuries
4. Dark ages are not about gun toting Cowboys and desperados on the move, shooting and stealing from Pony Express and ranchers.

Dark ages are also about the total downfall of virtue , a total disregard of moral values that regulated community life
for thousands and thousands of years .

When men are getting married to men,

When women are getting married to women

When gay people knowingly and willingly target traditional marriage oriented bakery owners and order

gay cakes, just to find reason for a federal lawsuit if they refused

When gay people are putting their stinking flags on government buildings

When that LGBTQ flag is seen on more than 90 % of primary and secondary school websites

When gay people want to adopt other people's children at early ages on purpose to make those kids become gay

etc. it is NOTHING but Dark ages .

You cannot believe how shocking it was to see Barack Obama standing there in Kenya, on African soil asking African to give legal protection the gay people. Only someone who " lost the north " ( mentally deranged ) can accept that weird scene.

It is so stu-pid for descendants of slaves to say that people have to leave alone gay marriage and only focus on slavery issues.

The Republican majority in Congress should pass a law making it a crime to engage in any same sex relation
or any attempt to change gender. At least 25 years in jail on a US owned island far away from the mainland for anyone proven guilty.

Besides 99% of US Representatives ( 431 out of 435 ) and 99 % of senators ( 99 out of the 100 senators )
of YES must be required to change that law.
This is necessary because any Democratic president who will take over in the future will seek to reverse it.

Foreign AffairsKnow Your History: Remembering Pan-africanist Mugabe The Fighter, by panafrican(op): 11:36am On Jan 25, 2025
Kudzi Mashaire · 22 janvier, 09:07 ·
Know your history : Robert Mugabe

Robert Gabriel Mugabe (21 February 1924 – 6 September 2019) was a Zimbabwean political leader, Africa liberation icon and anti-colonial revolutionary who served as Prime Minister of Zimbabwe from 1980 to 1987 and then as President from 1987 to 2017.
He served as Leader of the Zimbabwe African National Union (ZANU) from 1975 to 1980 and led its successor political party, the ZANU – Patriotic Front (ZANU–PF), from 1980 to 2017.
He is credited for liberating Zimbabwe from oppressive white minority rule, educating black people and redistributing land to the majority black Zimbabweans.

A Pan-Africanist , he is also credited of bringing stability in the region through timely military interventions such as in Mozambique and the Democratic Republic of Congo. He played a central role in the establishment of African Union and the regional Southern African development Community (SADC)

Mugabe was born to a poor Shona family in Kutama, Southern Rhodesia. Educated at Kutama College and the University of Fort Hare, he worked as a schoolteacher in Southern Rhodesia, Northern Rhodesia, and Ghana. Angered by white minority rule of his homeland within the British Empire, Mugabe embraced Marxism and joined African nationalists calling for an independent state controlled by the black majority.

After making anti-government comments, he was convicted of sedition and imprisoned between 1964 and 1974. On release, he fled to Mozambique, established his leadership of ZANU, and oversaw its role in the Rhodesian Bush War, fighting Ian Smith's predominately white government. He reluctantly participated in peace talks in the United Kingdom that resulted in the Lancaster House Agreement, putting an end to the war. In the 1980 general election, Mugabe led ZANU-PF to victory.

As Prime Minister of the newly renamed Zimbabwe, Mugabe's administration expanded healthcare and education and—despite his professed desire for a socialist society—adhered largely to mainstream, conservative economic policies.
While imprisoned, Mugabe learned that his son had died of encephalitis at the age of three. Mugabe was grief-stricken and requested a leave of absence to visit his wife in Ghana. He never forgave the prison authorities for refusing this request.

Mugabe's calls for racial reconciliation failed to stem growing white emigration, while relations with Joshua Nkomo's Zimbabwe African People's Union (ZAPU) also deteriorated. In the Gukurahundi of 1982–1987, in which Apartheid South Africa government was complicit, Mugabe's Fifth Brigade crushed ZAPU-linked opposition in Matabeleland. Internationally he sent troops into the Second Congo War and chaired the Non-Aligned Movement (1986–89), the Organization of African Unity (1997–98), and the African Union (2015–16).

Pursuing decolonization, Mugabe emphasized the redistribution of land controlled by white farmers to landless blacks, initially on a "willing seller–willing buyer" basis.

Frustrated at the slow rate of redistribution, from 2000 he encouraged black Zimbabweans to seize white-owned farms. Food production was severely impacted, economic decline, and Western sanctions. Opposition to Mugabe grew, but he was re-elected in 2002, 2008, and 2013 through campaigns dominated by controversy , and nationalistic appeals to his rural Shona voter base. In 2017, members of his own party ousted him replacing him with former vice president Emmerson Mnangagwa.

Having dominated Zimbabwe's politics for nearly four decades, Mugabe was a controversial figure. He was praised as a revolutionary hero of the African liberation struggle who helped free Zimbabwe from British colonialism, imperialism, and white minority rule. Critics accused Mugabe of responsiblity for economic mismanagement, corruption in Zimbabwe, anti-white sentiments and human rights abuses

'A living hell': Sudanese women face rape and abuse in Libya
2 hours ago
21 January, 2025

Amira Mhadhbi
BBC Arabic
"We live in terror," whispers Layla over the phone so nobody can hear. She fled Sudan with her husband and six children early last year in search of safety and is now in Libya.

Like all the Sudanese women who the BBC spoke to about their experiences of being trafficked to Libya, her name has been changed to protect her identity.

Warning: This story contains details some may find distressing.

In a trembling voice she explains how her home in Omdurman had been raided during Sudan's violent civil war, which erupted in 2023.

The family went to Egypt first before paying traffickers $350 (£338) to take them to Libya, where they had been told life would be better and they would be able to find jobs in cleaning and hospitality.

But as soon as they crossed the border, Layla says the traffickers held them hostage, beat them and demanded more money.

"My son needed medical attention after he was hit repeatedly in the face," she tells the BBC.

The traffickers released them after three days, without saying why. Layla thought her new life in Libya was starting to get better after the family managed to travel west and she rented a room and started working.

But one day her husband left to look for work and never returned. Then her 19-year-old daughter was raped by a man known to the family through Layla's job.

"He told my daughter he would rape her younger sister if she spoke about what he did to her," Layla says.

She speaks in hushed tones fearing the family will be evicted if their landlady hears about the threats.

Layla says they are now trapped in Libya: they have no money left to pay traffickers to leave and cannot return to war-torn Sudan.

"We have barely any food," she says, adding that her children are not in school. "My son is afraid to leave the house as other children often beat him and insult him for being black. I feel like I'm going to lose my mind."

Millions have fled Sudan since the war between the army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) erupted in 2023. The two sides had jointly staged a coup in 2021, but a power struggle between their commanders plunged the country into civil war.

More than 12 million people have been forced from their homes, while famine has spread to five areas, with 24.6 million people - about half the population - in urgent need of food aid, experts say.

The UN refugee agency says more than 210,000 Sudanese refugees are now in Libya.

The BBC has spoken to five Sudanese families who initially went to Egypt, where they said they experienced racism and violence, before moving to Libya, believing it would be safer with better job opportunities. We contacted them through a researcher in migration and asylum seeker issues in Libya.

Salma tells the BBC she was already living in Cairo, in Egypt, with her husband and three children when the Sudanese civil war broke out, but as huge numbers of refugees entered the country, conditions for migrants there worsened.

They decided to move to Libya, but what was awaiting them there was a "living hell", Salma says.

She describes how, as soon as they crossed the border, they were placed in a warehouse run by traffickers. The men wanted money that had been paid in advance to traffickers on the Egyptian side of the border, but it never arrived.

Her family spent nearly two months in the warehouse. At one point, Salma was separated from her husband and taken to a room for women and children. Here, she says she and her two eldest children were subjected to various forms of brutality because they wanted the money.

"Their whips left marks on our bodies. They would beat my daughter and put my son's hands in a lit oven while I was watching.

"Sometimes I wished we would all die together. I could think of no other way out."

Ramaswamy Is Out of the Trump Admin After Claiming American Workers Have a 'Culture' Problem

Story by Ben Zeisloft • 17h • 3 min read

The second administration of President Donald Trump only started on Monday, but there is already one high-profile exit from the commander-in-chief’s team.

Vivek Ramaswamy, the pharmaceutical entrepreneur who ran for the Republican presidential nomination, was initially supposed to lead the Department of Government Efficiency alongside Elon Musk, but now he is officially out of the project.

That development occurs as Ramaswamy considers his own run for office, but also after his comments about American culture raised eyebrows among much of the Trump base.
[...]
But some have wondered whether a recent controversy over legal immigration, for which Ramaswamy was at the center of the fray, played a role in his ouster from DOGE.

Amid a debate between leading Republican influencers over the H-1B visa program, which arguably imports tech workers from around the world to work at rates lower than what could sustain many middle-class American households, Ramaswamy mounted a blistering criticism of American culture.

“Tough questions demand tough answers & if we’re really serious about fixing the problem, we have to confront the TRUTH: Our American culture has venerated mediocrity over excellence for way too long (at least since the 90s and likely longer),” Ramaswamy wrote on X just after Christmas.

“A culture that celebrates the prom queen over the Math Olympiad Champ, or the jock over the valedictorian, will not produce the best engineers,” he added.

Ramaswamy even argued that American families should have “fewer sleepovers” and “more weekend science competitions,” claiming that American parents wrongly view parents who push their children toward academic achievement with skepticism.

“If you grow up aspiring to normalcy, normalcy is what you will achieve,” he continued. “Now close your eyes & visualize which families you knew in the 90s (or even now) who raise their kids according to one model versus the other. Be brutally honest.”
