Not just being a first son, but also being responsible. You are a responsible child, that's why it bothers you.

Please be easy on yourself. If you live in a functioning country, then it could be said that your guilt is understandable. You live in Nigeria, a dysfunctional society. Your experience is a symptom of it.

I hope all works well for you.

Time heals.

I guess you are still at the peak of the event. Your dad just died recently I guess?

Regardless, seek solace in the fact that you did your best. You can do everything right and he will still pass away.

May his soul rest in perfect peace. Amen.

You can fit in Nigeria, Israel, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, and Gambia inside Ontario, and it will still have enough space.

Ontario is just one out of ten Canadian provinces. Ontario is not even the largest province, Quebec is.

So I guess you guys should connect based on city, not province. Canada is freakingly vast. It is too big.

Lithuania is a Baltic country, and all Baltic countries are in Nato.

The US is stationing large nato troops in its eastern flank, and not just Lithuania, but also Estonia and Latvia.

Depress kwa? So you think you are actually helping your women by having sex with them? See as you turn the table around.

Of course.

Lack of good sex makes a woman crazier and acting anyhow. It may seem like men constantly want sex, but women want good sex, and men are tasked to deliver satisfactorily. It is non-negotiable.

So yes, I am helping. It is in my nature to help cool

If you can japa for good life, spend four years to get a degree, spend more years searching for job, then it is worth the effort to look for a good woman.

If you have to travel to a better society to increase your chance of meeting her, please do, because when you choose a woman, you've chosen your future.

Also if you can step down from social media baddies, you can easily find a good woman. Social media makes it seems like most women are corrupt.

Also, make sure you come healthy and healed yourself, since good woman even though maybe be young and naive, are under the protection of their guardian, and you'll be vetted.

Romance / Re: What Are The Lessons You Learned After your Failed Relationship? by pansophist(m): 9:33pm On Jul 29
Don't shuffle good partners away because you think there are lots of fish in the sea.

Yes, there are lots of fishes in the seas, but inside the same sea, some of the fishes are mad, trans, have the wrong genotypes, are traumatized beyond redemption, daft, incompatible belief systems, and if you luckily find the right fish, the fish doesn't want you.

Just like it is extremely hard to hit a jackpot, the same applies to catching a good partner. Don't fall inside the societal lie that you can easily replace some people.

Hear it now. Some people cannot be replaced. If you lose them, you will regret them for the rest of your life. And if someone is genuinely good to you and loves you, you most likely will regret taking them for granted.

Good people are representative of God in your life. If you lose them, you lose God, and when you lose God, you have only the devil left.

Don't do this to yourself. And time is not your friend, it goes on as you are busy losing and shuffling people. Put in the effort when good people show up in your life, and make sure that if they leave, it is not your fault.

Romance / Re: Can You Still Find True Love? by pansophist(m): 9:24pm On Jul 29
If you are a man, you sef will stop making effort.

You need to live life as a man for just one day, to see that most men are dead tired to being used as caricature.

You toast, organise date, pay for the date, then maybe ghosted after because she cant see the gentleman that you are, but judge you for things like height, depth of pocket, accent, and superficial things.

If one, two , three, four, five girls does this to you, you just give up. Some settle with soapy, some with olosho, some with flings, but that's just it.

You can argue that you are not like that, oya clap for yourself. But many if not most women are like that.

Men are tired.

Also, lots of men of this generation are accepting that they are not women spec, andhave accepted to just live their life solo until the woman who will appreciate them shows up.

Simon Ekpa has announced that Biafra would be declared on the 2nd of december, meaning that Nigeria is going to break up. So what do you think?

I do not care what anyone says or declares, I just look at the means and capability at your disposal. So far, I do not know how Ekpa intends to defeat the Nigerian military and also get international recognition for Biafra.

If the three educated people in the flat are really educated and smart, why don’t they enlighten the seven to their viewpoints and make meritocracy more effective than tribalism and cronyism in the democratic process

Is that not how Europeans clipped the wings of their absolute monarchy to make their countries attractive to us, who are too mentally lazy to do likewise?

The only way they can do that is through vote, which is either a scam on its own (due to the moral bankruptcy of the system), or their numerical inferiority makes it impossible.

Teaching the dumbos is not a classroom thing, it's warfare, whether through vote, or sword. The voting option has been done countless times, no hope, will the sword be next? we shall see.
Romance / Re: I Really Want To Leave Nigeria by pansophist(m): 2:18pm On Jun 30
You are fifteen years late.

Just in the last decades, our free visa entry list reduced. The naira lost over 500% of its value. The country's debt increased massively. Countries tightened up their immigration policy, and then podcasts happened.

Even the US visa lottery that gave men hope stopped, the UK stopped dependents visas, Canada did theirs, and a visa ban for Nigerians from all angles, from Dubai to Seychelles.

But that's not all. Buhari happened, Tinubu also happened, and a war far in Europe that has nothing to do with us led to a punishment and increase in prices, signaling the weakness of the Nigerian state.

Your options are ecowas countries if you are not loaded financially, otherwise, almost everything is stacked against you. If you are single, take a move now, otherwise, it will only become difficult.

The political system.

Nigerian democracy is like a flat with ten occupants. Three of the occupants are well-educated and know how to take the country forward, but their three votes can't change anything in the face of the other seven votes from the others who are dumb as fork.

The educated folks found themselves in a situation where they couldn't do anything, but either endure or leave, therefore, reducing the number of capable hands, and increasing the suffering that the dumb ones impose on everyone.

I cant tell you what the right political system should be, but whichever is adopted should feature meritocracy, where the most capable ascend to the top, regardless of popularism and nepotism.

get out of here with your woke bullshit!

women, animals and children are worthy of being beaten! [hindu proverb]

it is my RIGHT to have four wives and they have no say in the matter !

so says my holy book!

so much for all the bullshit about the rights of women in islam

the reaction of Jarus wife should tell any discerning human being how women actually feel about polygamy [ at least the first wives who invested themselves] . the whole business of attacking him and the jazz is the symptom not the disease. a western woman would lawyer up, but that isnt really an option in nigeria. so she did what a nigerian woman would do when faced with an insurmountable problem - pray . when prayer doesn't work -

the same guys who complain everyday about disloyal nigerian women - this is a woman who from all accounts was loyal to her husband and focused on the familys welfare. this is what several girls grew up seeing in their own households. their father suddenly deciding that he would marry another wife as his right - throwing the whole family into chaos.

the lesson here - and a lesson nigerian women have learnt from their mothers experiences - is that loyalty is for suckers.

it may be why northern women reportedly have very casual attitudes towards divorce. no point in investing yourself in a marriage when then man can and will change it up anytime because this is his right

Decency is a woke bullshit? are you okay?

Feel free to exercise your religious right to polygamy, my point is simply that the wives in it must consent to it. You can't rope a woman into a family structure she doesn't want to be in.

My advice is for your own good. The point for being decent is to safeguard yourself, simply because you do not have a monopoly of being indecent.

Take the OP's case as an example. His wife has begun a diabolical process because he unilaterally changed the family structure without her consent and approval.

If you justify indecency because it's your right to marry many wives, then you've inadvertently justified others to do the same, and their response might be disproportional. Some may go for your life, or do something even worse. Death is not the worst punishment.

And you are there comparing women to animals? shame on you. That's something a person unworthy of honor would say. If they are animals? then why do you want to marry more than one?

Me think that a prospective polygamist should inform his first wife before marrying her, that the possibility of additional wives in the future may happen, and she must be okay with it.

Using your religion as a justification for polygamy is allowed, but that doesn't exempt you from acting right and taking into consideration your wife whom it will affect.

It can be shocking to some, but women are humans too, and deserve to be treated with respect.

I wrote on this in a reply to someone, but the mods deleted the thread.

As men, we live to reside in a place where we command respect and authority. No matter how much a black man has while residing abroad, he cannot have greater psychological power than the native men. That is the reality. The bold is something many Africans, not African-Americans as their case is different, are facing. They sense a ceiling or discomfort living in the abroad, but cannot return to sub-Saharan Africa because of the terrible economic and security situation.

Your points are very true.

This can also be achieved in other Sub-Saharan African countries. It doesn't necessarily have to be in Nigeria. If the country speaks English, the better.
