Have you heard of per capita income or wealth distribution? In case you don't know , if you have 100 billion dollars revenue to take care of your 18m population that rely on oil. If you have 200 million people relying on oil then you might have a problem satisfying their needs as the revenue will inevitably be spread thin due to the geometrical population growth .
