No be the first time o and even I did not expect this to lead to ending the relationship. It has happened many times over the past 5 years from this same sister. The rest of her family her lovely. On this day their were just too many Bleep ups, she dey send me message, no give me food for party wey dem dey run. I just decided that I had to draw the line with the disrespect. I probably wouldn't have slapped her if it happened again but I wouldn't have kept quiet like before, I would have given her a proper response.

Disrespect/No regard

Whilst I can handle/take disrespect from the person I am seeing, one must properly deal with any disrespect from their family member immediately otherwise you go still meet am for front.

I am 12 years older than my ex. She is 2 years older than her sister. Whenever we are together with her sister na so she go dey send me message, dey take hand call me.

Let me give an example. We were all together on holiday and I was in a hotel lobby chatting with the said sisters husband. Na so the girl dey take hand beckon me, I pointed to her husband and shook her head and she motioned for both of us. Na so we waka go meet she and my ex. The girl then said to me and her husband "go and bring down our suitcases from the room". This wasnt her first time but this was the worst one. Me wey I get bad mouth but I have always held my tongue. I later complained to my ex yet again.

It happened again just over a month ago at a party and because I didnt want to cause no drama I waited till we go home and told my ex that she should tell her sister that the next time she talks to me like that I will slap her.

Omo see voltron. My ex defended her sister. She was not even having it dey shout ontop my head say if him sister dey disrespect their papa, who I be wey dem no fit disrespect. Na so I know say that relationship don finish. My Kenyan babe is a ride or die but I still no fit trust woman fully again.

She earns well and in 7 years has never asked me for 1 penny. Stayed by my side throughout my trial in the crown court (found not guilty) and my cancer treatment.

Even during my court case this lady offered to pay for my defence but I refused because I no want any woman to talk say na she save me. Instead I pick overnight shift in a factory after my full time job to fund my defence. 9am to 5pm day job, 6.30pm to 5 am in factory for 1 whole year.

I am in a similar position but my plan is not to take it to the grave. I recently survived stage 3 cancer but it looks like its come back and that is usually terminal.

I dont have a wife as I got divorced about 7 years ago but I have a girlfriend. I wont give her my password. She will get my spousal pension as she stood by me during my initial diagnosis. My password and control of my bank accounts and assets will be given to my son (will be 19 years soon) when it has become clear that my time left is short and I still have the strength.

Although I will have to do some cleaning up of my phone before that happens.

You're not stuck with her for life, you can walk away and not even file, commit bigamy, adultery (the world doesn't care, we're now encouraged to be as selfish as possible, self-care, choose you, chase your happiness etc).

You certainly feel like you're done right now and that's a valid emotion.

Emotions are rubbish, only a fool trusts them.

Reality is, you're going to be miserable. You will reach levels of misery you didn't even fathom. You think it is bad now, walahi you ain't seen nothing yet.

Then you'll stabilise, probably start dating again, feel euphoric in that new love and new freedom. But the romance will die eventually and you'll face your patterns, triggers and mistakes again. And this time you'll be forced to confront them (unless you want a second divorce).

And in having to work on it, you'll realize you could have put in that same effort in the first marriage and it will have survived and she was a better fir for you but now you're enduring what you couldn't tolerate before. That's when regret starts to really bloom, because regret is like a Shea butter tree, it takes time to grow.

Emotions don't last forever, you once felt happy as a young Nigerian now you hate the country. If you relocate, in 5 years time you'll love Nigeria so much even agege bread will make you weep in nostalgia.

I try and talk people out of a divorce because I've seen Divorcees 5 years, 10 years, 34 years down the line.

Bleep cancer. I am a stage 3 CRC survivor. 19 months post-op and 12 months post adjuvant chemo. I have my next quarterly check up in 2 days.

I feel healthy but mentally you will never be the same. I am ways worried about reoccurrence.

Be thankful that you are like this. I know you may think you are weak but this attitude will take you far and save you stress. You are just like my late dad and it used to irritate me that nothing would ever make the man lose his cool but now that I am grown and I have seen life I always long to be like him

Anger will only bring destruction once said lagbaja. I have lost a job before due to anger. I have been charged with 6 counts in the crown court before due to anger. I have lost money due to anger and vindictiveness.

Since I got diagnosed and treated for cancer I see life differently and now strive to avoid confrontation and anger. I fail sometimes due to a trait in me that I believe I inherited from my mom but I am 95% a better person than I was 3 years ago.

Keep being you. Use the legal resources available to you to resolve any issues or let them go if they are of no great significance.

I need some help. I am sorting out my late dad's estate. I recently requested a statement of shareholding and I am working on getting dividends that havent been paid e.g. GT Bank

Yesterday 8 May, a payment of N540,000 was received with ref: Custodian Div 37. I have read that Custodian made a dividend payment of N2.50/share on 8 May. The problem is I dont have Custodian as one the shareholding on my statement from the broker.

How do I go about sorting this out. I am going to speak to the broker on Monday but just wondering if anyone has a possible explanation of what is going on?

I am a stage 3 bowel cancer survivor. I had surgery and chemo, and I am now 19 months post op and 10 months NED.

I dont know if it does anything but I boil and drink soursop leaves once a week.
