We live in an era of virtual delusion. People are showing personalities that don't rhyme with their offline life. We resisted it initially but now fake life is real life until reality sets in. All you see on social media is the birth of the pregnancy in us. For instance, someone died at 96 and a poster was writing about the number of women he had sex with. Such people think it's cruise but remove the phone from our hands and you'll see who we really are. |
cassidy1996:Nigerians love distractions and watching people rise or fall. I don't think it's about Nedu but I just watched the episode where that guy was brought to the show. This just proves what Deeone said that some of these influencers are only interested in the downfall of others. We love to follow people and not think with our minds. If you don't like someone, they will recruit others to hate the person and they will hate you if you fail to join. Critical thinking in the mud.

If we are talking about elections less than 2 years before the next one, it means there is no magic to do anymore. |
saasala:I think older folks can see through the lines, maybe it's the young folks who are carried away and they are at a time of new media which technology amplifies. People took advantage of the newspapers and radio back in the days, with time we saw the truth. It's the same thing happening today with tech. The first time I heard about him was when he was calling out fake skin care people and I liked that he could have focused on that campaign. It is not his job, that's NAFDAC but I love that his campaigns had that effect. You see, any campaign that has to do with talking about people cannot last for long. |
Fairview1:The mind is twisted but they don't know. Out of the abundance of the heart comes words in their minds. |
AI helped those who knew how to write but those who didn't know, which is a lot of people, it made content redundant. Now there's a demand for human content |

Why do Nigerians like repeating the same of the same thing? The people that have ruled Nigeria have been in power since the 70s. You may as well call IBB to come back. Also Presidency is not our problem. Your governors, senators, lawmakers are |
Gossip and Nairaland FP are now like Aki and pawpaw |
The girl has been destroyed so early. She needs counseling and therapy to recover from this damage. |
Gone are the days when the dollar getting to a thousand sounded ridiculous and extreme to the ears. It's such an irony that those who said what I wrote on the first sentence are in charge of the ecomomy today. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KuVgp12YPtQ |
47 year old brother His elder brother is like a father to him. 28 years older than him. Are they from a polygamous family or did his mom's death affect him that bad Odutola noted that findings by the police revealed that Moses’ mother had died just weeks earlier and had yet to be buried in their hometown of Oju LGA, Benue State.Only investigations can tell. |
I may not like what she did the last time but you have to be careful with social media stories that want to establish a pattern of repeated behavior. I don't know the full story but until I know, I won't judge her. From that video, you can see she is responding to someone behind her. We are all imperfect and must be careful of a single story.

These netizens that carried Ned Nwoko's matter on their head? |
Is this a stage play written by Ola Rotimi ![]() The mods here take everyone for granted. I won't tell the style they use but to anyone with a discerning mind, they can see what goes on here on NL and they expect the masses to fall for it. Keep it up.

TikTok, a tool by China to keep the world distracted while they take over. And our people fell for it. Imagine if Tinubu bans it, some people will not eat. Have a backup plan in the real world, the online world will only be destroyed by the click of a button. Are you giving your soul to technology? Can't you reason anymore? The real world is not in your phone. We are all going to fallback to the real world whether we like to admit it or not. I thought covid showed us but no. Aren't we seeing that we are becoming slaves to Mark, Elon and all of them? If Seun starts to pay you per comment, you will hail him pass those political minions online. Parents, build the soul of your children before they enter the distractions of the world. Fela sef go surprise say zombies don plenty with one device. If Seun bans me here, will I die We need to start thinking about what these things are doing to us. If the servers of TikTok go down, and there is a problem, who will help the girl? Her phone or the real people around her? NL died sometime in 2008 where you can no longer see old topics. Those that posted very useful info, have they died? From the video, it is clear that something has gone wrong and that is where the truth is. The part where the video cut off is the truth. Either the girl worsened the situation or the man slipped a bit and said something that could put him into trouble. Either way, the girl is giuily in all because her reaction was more than the action. It is also clear that we have lost our values to the west. Foolishly people want to behave like westerners and some people will even be comparing this to America and UK. In Nigeria, we respect our elders. This is not the space for the argument that our older people abuse their privilege of respect. We respect them in our talk, our address to them. In China, Japan and cultural Asia, they do the same thing and their lives are not worse. Nigerians now behave like ghetto America. I can't count the number of times I've seen them use the n word in Nigeria and I cringe at their level of stupid. African Americans that used to use you people as model of behavior, you now turn to trash in the name of wokeness. Indeed, what the child can see using drones, the elder Don see pass am without it. |
After counting on her, you want to bail out ![]() So if the next 13 girls you meet are like this, what will be your own score? Will you tell the 15th girl ![]() I just want you to know that men are marrying former prostitutes, so this girl will learn her lesson from you and be with the right matured man for her if she has truly reformed. Right now, you're too young to absorb that level of reformation after tasting from her juice so leave her alone for your own good. You'll both learn. |
AbuTwins:Sebi our mothers dem na mumu? Na dem collect abuse to stay in marriage? I don't believe in toxic marriages and abuse but the way women have used the same paint to paint all relationships and their solution is to fix the problem in a woman's way, we go DE here to find out. Biology is a bad construct because men and women have different biology and men have an advantage women don't have there but let's not talk about it. Time is a good measure of consequences. |
AbuTwins:I mean! Men have been blamed to the extent that it has misguided women. It's a matter of time before we see who is right and wrong. Men used to die to get married to women because they had honor. Today, anything goes and women think they are empowered. I just saw a tweet where a 40yo is doing OF and she's proud of it. Women want freedom, even in marriages they want freedom. Let them enjoy what freedom gives them. |
Were you expecting that she won't visit SA again? What's the crime in visiting? What are the rules of a visa? If she qualified to get it, there is nothing wrong here. As Miss Universe Africa, it will be naive not to expect her to visit SA as part of her tenure. As a person, she has done nothing wrong visiting SA if she chooses to. Are South Africans saying that she's banned for life from visiting? If you mistakenly look like Chidinma and live in SA, you're in trouble right now. |
Men like to do the chase. At 50, TuBaba wants to feel like a young man again. You know what is interesting? Older men who have raised children are more experienced in life and that's one of the things that attract young women to them that people don't understand. Shout all you want about a 19 vs 45 and things like that, forget it. I saw how they abused the young girl that got married to Ned. These people cannot take care of her. Women want security in all forms and a man that has raised a family is security for her future child with him because he has passed through this in the past. |
Someone shared this story of culture shock here and this attack is a good case for it What is your biggest cultural shock from visiting America? |
Adelabu just gave his own at UCH. Wike collected his own at Thisday. Dele Alake's own is buried under the mines. Foreign Minister gave his own account. Alausa gave us grade 1-12 so that children can remain in school. Keyamo is flying with his own. What happened to the app to rate ministers? We would have checked what Arise did, if it is by people's choice. By the end of the year, some of the ministers will go because election will be on their mind. |
Kewekubosineh:I don't need to prove anything on a faceless forum but this is what we are talking about. Rufai hosted Dele Farotimi last Sunday on VOP,I saw how he asked questions and how he listened to the calls after the interview. You want to prove who is right or wrong. I have my opinions about Bwala but currently, he is the President's spokesman. That's the most important thing to take note of. Arise has talked about Bwala several times on their different shows so saying it to his face is nothing new. When you bring a guest to TV you are not doing it for yourself, you are doing it for the PUBLIC. You'll never win anyone over by trying to prove that they are wrong, instead they will go the opposite way. |
If El Rufai becomes President, even Donald Trump go de fear to talk. Elon no go fit near Nigeria on his X platform. Dem go fear Nigeria. Abacha is still a learner where dem de. No be by dark goggles. |
ppogba:You share my view. Ironically, he kept asking Bwala today if he was a man of his convictions. This is how IBB set-up Tai Solarin ![]() It doesn't take away anything from his integrity but when we are matured, we should be careful with how we out people. We should let them do it themselves. Again, people change. With time, we can change our positions but there are ways to prove a point without trying to win. I think he and Bwala should have carried themselves to Twitter hangout to fight for right or wrong, not on air. |
I like this topic. |
ppogba: What I meant by set-up is that they have been waiting for him to embarass himself and he fell for it. That incident could have happened and no one will know about it today. No one is perfect after all. |
