Help them, it's cold out there.

Life is not easy anywhere and if your life is easy or going well right now, be grateful. I just watched a video of a woman who put her life savings into one of the houses that got destroyed by fire in CA. Life will break you but don't forget to wake up when you're tired of sleeping. Don't let it break you for too long, let this be a temporary season in your life. Pain does not last for too long, unless you want it to.

Politics › Re: Wasiu Ayinde Receives Phone Call From President Tinubu by papyjaypaul: 5:53pm On Jan 20, 2025
ZACHIE:
To any decerning mind, this conversation speak to a laissez Faire government that is not busy. Period.

A President finding space to call a fuji singer over the death of a 105 woman is not a president that is overwhelmed with the problems of a sick nation.

A supposedly grieving fujician who uses the occasion of his mother's death to pepper all of us by disgracefully purring the president on speaker says so much about pride, decency and the lack thereof.

That whole episode was not necessary. Period.
Obj and Abacha would probably be caning such effrontery.

My president is not the playmate of a Talazzo Disco crooner.
Take it easy. I am not a Tinubu fan but it's known to the world that he is fond of this musician. Make no mistake to think that the phone call is a waste of presidential time. If this musician's work is what makes the President slick, he can call him. He is the President, he can appoint people to do many things for him. Just because we don't like someone we hate all their moves.
Education › Re: Your Life As A Man After Marriage by papyjaypaul: 12:32pm On Jan 20, 2025
Number 1 is the reality that's why some men are deadbeat and run away. They are very selfish and can't live with sacrificing for someone else. I saw a video recently where a woman was advising women who want to leave their homes and she asked, "do you think it is easy for us?"

Women love soft life and it is the best for them but often times, men don't complain publicly, that's why they make it seem like it's misogyny, it's patriarchy, it's this and that. Ask women who share the bills how far. You earn income as a man and the whole community wants to share it with you. After that, the woman will now take the kids away from you in the name of divorce. If you see a responsible man taking care of the bills, never complain about that man because such a guy still has sense to be responsible but a guy who's deadbeat, his recovery is a long thing.

This is why they often say wives should be careful what they say to their man. If he's trying his best and you say bad words to him, you will fail eventually because men hide most of their pains with the hope that tomorrow will be better.

Most importantly, who you choose as wife can help you or destroy you as a man. To single men, listen to the men when it comes to love. I love our mothers and sisters but there is a bro code when it comes to choosing the woman that will make your house a home.

No mind am.....people dey earn 100k, dem dey rough life survive for this country...my mom sold beans cake and she wasn't earning up to 100k a month and we were all living fine nd healthy then....this one dey earn 1m and him dey complain again join....mayb him don go rent house for where pass him power....house rent is a major prob too.
Ever heard the phrase, "mo money, mo problems?" You will think that someone whp earns 2m daily is satisfied but you'll be shocked to know that more money is not the solution, money management is. It is easier to live within your means when you earn low than when you earn more and sincerely, until you step into someone's life, don't assume for them with your own status/lifestyle.

"di lifestyle cost, na you no know" wink

My thoughts exactly. No show can be for multiple reasons, some students stop attending college or they go back home.

The International Student Compliance Regime, introduced in 2014, requires designated learning institutions to report twice annually on whether international students are actively enrolled and attending classes.

That first picture where the detail is pointing at the stairs reminds me of a comedian who joked about young presidents and old presidents. I think it was Trevor Noah roasting Biden. That if the President was young, his security details will be looking up because that's where the shooter will be but if the President is an old man, the security detail will be looking down because that is where the danger is. Now I see this picture and he's not lying. grin grin grin

This story is nothing but the imagination of both writer and publisher. This story is no different from stories we read here on NL. Why? There is no confirmation of what he went to see him for but you are putting recent events together to try and guess. For all we care to know, he took advantage of time for a photo op but you carried a PLC story to Presidency. It's a family affair.
Rumors are rumors and will not be founded until you can prove.

Politics › Re: Bello Turji Attacks Mosque In Zamfara, Abducts All Worshippers by papyjaypaul: 12:14pm On Jan 13, 2025
Our government, since APC took over has numbed us on terrorism by changing the word terrorists to bandits. They used the word terrorists to put us into fear when they were fighting PDP but changed it to bandits when they entered office. Nigeria media had no choice anymore, otherwise how do you reconcile the first line, 'suspected bandits led by Turji'.

Is Turji a known bandit/terrorist?

Are you still suspecting him?

Then you read further and they say

During the attack, he abducted all the worshippers in the mosque. The exact number of those kidnapped is yet to be determined.

An intelligence source confirmed that Turji and his armed men disrupted prayers and forced the victims into the forest.
Are we still suspecting the terrorist or it is that word they also introduced, allegedly? He allegedly kidnapped them? Since we don't want to tell the truth in this country anymore and now play with English man words.
Boko Haram terrorists did this same thing back then and we called them terrorists. I hoad to go to the dictionary to find out the meaning of the word, 'bandit'. These people are just messing with our heads.

Xisnin:
So her co-travellers wanted to lynch her like motor park louts or is this just additional
fiction account typical of Nigerian newspapers?

That said, why plead with the passenger, when she could be forcefully removed
and detained while the other passengers can carry on with their journey?
I don't think the NCAA man knew the damage he was doing with such comment

“It was at that moment that other passengers became irate. Had AVSEC and Ibom Air personnel not been on top of their game, the unruly passenger would have been lynched. I salute the timely intervention that saved her life.
People like to exaggerate just to make themselves look good but the damage they cause may be worse. That comment is not good for his own image and their image and Nigeria.

Romance › Re: Why Are Foreign Women ‘rushing’ Nigerian Men? by papyjaypaul: 5:46pm On Jan 01, 2025
We can advance all we want but people will return to basics. People that want a family to function will choose partners that play the role of husband and wife, not online husband and wife that will argue 24/7 about roles/responsibilities with no peace at home. What Nigeria men take for granted is what foreign boys look up to and call alpha male, macho this and that. Why are foreign women after Nigerian men is the same as why are foreign men after Thai women.

Everyone loves tradition and they will spend money to get it for their traditional home. Nigerian women bought into the fallacy of women's rights and false feminism thereby taking the roles of men, when they saw what it took to be a man, they felt miserable. No woman in this world, no matter where she is or what level she is doesn't want TLC. They want to be pampered and men don't want to marry fellow men, they want feminine traits in women. You can't have 2 captains in a ship. Goodluck with trying to be the leader of your home with a man in the name of equality.

When Nigerian men meet women from other countries (who don’t have this type of orientation) and do just 30 per cent of what they are expected to do to Nigerian women, the foreign women are wowed because they have never seen anything like that. They can’t stop talking about Nigerian men because they don’t live in a society where a man is expected to take care of his needs and the entire needs of his woman. Love is expressed in many countries with flowers, but not in Nigeria.

Because the women from other countries did not grow up believing that the man has to take care of their needs, they are less demanding of things to be done for them. And whatever the Nigerian men do for them, they are very appreciative. Consequently, they treat their Nigerian men with more dignity. The men talk about having more peace and happiness.

Ironically, it is the same level of care Nigerian men give to Nigerian women but is not appreciated (because it is seen as their duty or nothing special) that they give to these non-Nigerian women, and the women find it exceptional. The result is that the internet has made the news of the “special loving nature of Nigerian men” spread faster from different countries, making more women aware of it and more receptive to Nigerian men.
