PresidObi:Short answer is ENDURANCE. Endure the consequences of their decision. Long answer below. What APC coalition did to the masses is what the opposition should be doing now. People can now see that with hindsight, PDP was bad but not as terrible as APC convinced people to see them. We can see it with the tribalism and economy. We can see it with terrorism and insecurity. It is easier to criticise from the outside but if there is momentum, he will be ousted the same way the man himself organized people to take Jonathan out. The irony is that he may suffer the same fate as Jonathan too, even if he does well in office. That's the crazy thing about politics. Alliances that will give the masses an option. Some people are also just there to scheme things. Revenge and sabotage. After all, PDP governors sabotaged their party, which is what gave APC an inroad. To APC, they don't want that kind of alliance as they have been in opposition before. They know what that means. The other option they have is to buy the masses by impoverishing them so they can be enslaved to them. What else can they use to divide the people that can work again? Religion? Tribe? People can now feel the reality of the propaganda. If Atiku makes a move to leave that stage and fund a candidate, Tinubu is in serious trouble. His ambition i.e. Atiku has affected that party which is the only one that can kick APC out. However, what Obi did with LP, in a limited time also shows that Nigerians are ready to vote anyone they believe in and that is also a threat to the establishment because it's not about party politics anymore. This is the reason why they actively attack the Obidients, thinking they are the new opposition. A jackpot will be hit close to 2027, something they did not plan for. ![]() Obidients was EndSars 2.0 and by 2027, another group of young people will be 18 and they can vote. The thing with this young generation is that they can see through the BS and can't be easily influenced the old school way of using traditional media, analysts, influencers and more. Times have changed. A sentiment will come up around 2026 to 2027 that this government will not know how to convince the public otherwise, even if they are in power. That has happened to Jonathan and in many states in this country. By 12 years of PDP, people were already tired. Yar Adua's death helped them get another 4 years which was the nail that hit the coffin. |
thesicilian:I have seen the APC supporters trying hard to make this man popular. The truth is, unless you want to rig, which in itself does not make you popular, Tinubu is the most unpopular president we have had in recent times. He won 1/3 like Atiku and Obi, therefore he is running on an unpopular mandate. The supporters can twist it however they wish to but if his government is seen as pain, he may not win 2027 as they think he will because he is incumbent. That's why there is active policy to buy the opposition because if they are weak, he can get into office as the least best but most popular candidate. Tinubu is not as popular as they make him seem. He is good with the media but as someone who has studied Nigerian politics for a long time, people are playing with the old playbook while the voter demography and life in general is changing. I wish Nigeria all the best!

PresidObi:Section 146 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended) addresses the situation where the President is unable to perform the functions of their office. It states that: If the President dies, resigns, is removed from office, or becomes incapacitated, the Vice President becomes the President. In the event that the Vice President is also unable to serve, the President of the Senate or the Speaker of the House of Representatives would act as President until a new President is elected. |

12inchess:You need to change your diet. Your food, the books you read, the media you watch, what you listen to and so much more. They are on YouTube, there are books on mindfulness that will change you. Also, if it is winter, it comes with a condition they call SAD. Google it. Don't be down for too long but you're perfectly fine for feeling down. Do a sports and be more physical in the dark days. I want you to change your diet because anxiety can be caused by thinking too much about the future state of things (children, family, wife, Naija) and so many things YOU CANNOT CONTROL. so start to live in the NOW. You are going to be a father some day so I like how you want to treat yourself because men go through a lot quietly. I wouldn't want you to not heal yourself before the changes come to your life when you have a family. That's when your wife's own may enter, so take care of yourself for the future. |
12inchess:Hope you are aware that your state of mind affects fertility too Stress and worries. |
My job is not that taxing but I wish I could do more save for the extreme fatigue that the doctors have not been able to resolve.Hope you don't have CFS? What you are suffering from is not new. You are lonely and you need company. Depression is a health issue and sometimes, you need to change your environment. I remember one lady who was in Nigeria for some years as a diplomat, when she was to go home, she cried. She would miss Nigeria. She loved the people. OP if you need to be around people and Naija problems, go home or get a job with a multi national that will take you home. If possible, get a virtual job. You need to go home to tap current so being homesick is totally okay. I don't like dependency on medications so I will not encourage that. I prefer natural. I am sure you know some people suffer from different conditions and a visit to their home country takes it away. If you feel at home in Nigeria, take that tough decision to stay where you are happy. Don't stay somewhere to make others think you are doing well. It's your life. Try to get something in Nigeria and avoid negative places online and physically. We need people as human beings so try to find an activity where you meet people. |

planetx:You don't need to be loud to dumb down your POV. For the records, if you came into the U.S. when it was Yugoslavia, you are a Yugoslav citizen. That should give you an idea of how old those folks are. If they entered the USA before the dissolution of Yugoslavia, their status is tied to the country they were from at the time. This will be the same for USSR or South Sudan. For the public's information, you will see countries on the list like Zaire Western Samoa Yugoslavia 'Unknown' 'Born on Board Ship' Arabian Peninsula Stateless on this list Western Samoa was the former name of Samoa. The name was changed in 1997 but both names are on the ICE list. Zaire was the name of the DR Congo. Hope we've all learned something. |

flokii:I am realist. I don't support anyone of them but we've always known that it's not easy for women to be wives, mothers and career women at the same time. Her second child is just 10. Her inner childhood dream may be to be on screen but life is not what is in our mind. Her home may be one of the sacrifices for achieving stardom. That's why I don't admire any public figure. It comes with a sacrifice. The question is, are you willing to pay the price? The other day, the movie maker was talking about how she divorced her husband on air. I have forgotten her name but she's popular. That other actress in Genevieve set just got married after 40 some years ago. Even that young one that married a Senator joined a polygamous family and cannot act in some movies agaim. It's never easy. Women should just choose what they know they can live with. A life of fame or work or a life of a successful family. |
How is this different from N-power? I don't like how we discard programmes just because we didn't design it. APC came in 2015 and cancelled that program, then started giving out palliatives in cash Edit: The humanitarian affairs has their own N-power which is like this one NPower Registration Invitation |
flokii:I don't think so. We can't always tell how the future would be. Wasn't she acting in flatmates at the time? What makes us think she couldn't have done something else in her life if she was not married? People can be who they are destined to be with or without people. Who knew Funke Akindele will transition this way from those plays in the past? Didn't she divorce her husband? I'm just saying no one's destiny is tied to another person in this life. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8DUTWd620VE |

Let me cite a part of the article that the story wants us to ignore using a scary headline Tucked among the priorities listed in his Day 1 executive orders was a one-line reference to enforcing a section of immigration law under which the government can revoke an immigrant's U.S. citizenship if it was "unlawfully procured."Tell me, is this a wrong thing to do? Many Nigerians will tell you to behave and obey the law to get the green card. We know how racism works and they apply the law to the slightest thing that you do wrong to send you away. The same Nigerians will be mad at the Northern states for allowing Nigeriens enter and vote in our elections. They will be mad at Chinese or Indians having access to what citizens alone should enjoy. §1425. Procurement of citizenship or naturalization unlawfully |
US politics and the media go hand in hand. Before understanding any issue, go to the left, go to the right then you will see the middle. I am not saying everything Donal Trump will be right but everything he does will not also be wrong and the way the media played n 2016 is how they are playing now. It's also happening in Nigeria. That's why independent thinking is a threat to the establishment because they cannot control those who can think for themselves. They use media to control our thinking. I saw one popular Nigeria vlogger in the U.S. and she started condemning Trump for the birth policy and I remembered those who sponsor her they're left leaning. That's something I dislike about their politics. You choose right or left and you are no different from a fanatic.

All I see from these schools is that they don't have standards. If they did, they would have found a way to streamline these things. I saw one girl talk about exam questions. In this age of AI and tech, all you need is to have the syllabus or course outline and form questions there. Have a question bank where different questions will come from so that the teacher will also not know what kind of question will come out. That's what JAMB did and it's not that hard. Both essay and option questions will have like 20 and 300 respectively. The hardest part will be marking. The computer will do the options and the essay will have marking guide. That may be the hardest part of the whole thing. Marking is the hardest part of teaching but if you give a computer the largest part, you have reduced the errors that comes with a human being mistaking option C for D. The human being will only mark the essay part with the marking guide. Give another corps member that work to do. Let your school be attractive to undergraduates so that they can work for you during their breaks. If they do a shoddy job, it will affect their references in future. See how they work for free in 3 months during semester break. They win (experience on their resumes) and you win (cheap, efficient and innovative labour). Stop working like you are in the 19th century. Use technology to help you. It's not as hard as we make it but if the administrators are not passionate about education, everything is business to them. It's hard but you can still make life easier for your staff. Hire an intern or NYSC staff to help you structure this thing. Let it be their 1 year project for you and you'll be amazed how far they lead you and your school. We like to complicate matters for ourselves, schools run on a cycle and some things are predictable as long as you put standards in place. |
