What I meant is, it is ironical that a stammerer has to do more of talking to cure or control it. If you want to learn Spanish, go to Spain. If you want to learn how to swim, go to the pool. If you want to defeat the fear of public speaking, speak more in public. You overcome your fear by confronting it, not running from it. When you master the art of speech and talking, you learn when to pause and other styles to talk. True story, a stammerer on air did say some years ago that this was how he overcame his stuttering and stammering. It may not work for you but that is what I learned from him. I am no expert but one thing that causes it is ANXIETY. and that anxiety stresses you to talk faster. To cure or control it, you need to talk more ironically. Say less words so that you don't have to rush it. Be calm and most importantly, be confident. The stammerer is afraid that people will laugh at him and don't have enough patience to listen so he rushes his speech. Let me tell you, if you can't shame me, I can't be ashamed. Make a joke of yourself before others do, you have won the first war that way. The second is to tell them "I stammer o, make una listen well". If you talk slowly, it will go but if you talk too fast, it will keep happening. talk calmy, no rush, all the words will come out. Ambode could have done what Fubara did but made a mistake with not aligning with GAC. Today, he is talking to the Governor he called a madman. The governor today and his deputy form an arrangement where one faction had to concede to be Deputy. All of them, all of them did this for personal interest, not in the interest of Lagos. If Lagos was working, metro line would have been done since 2010 but selfish interests pull us backwards. Let's leave matter for Mathias, time will tell. |
