Nigeria should actually be looking for a 24/7 economy because:

1. We have a huge youth population
2. There is unemployment
3. There are vices

One way to keep people busy is to give them work to do. Even old people will have some small things to do if we let our economy work like that but first, we must fix electricity, it's the one that allows us to have a moving economy and people safe to work at night. While some people sleep or work during the day, some other people work at night. Friday and Sunday worship does not need the whole day but a little bit of Nigeria history to tell you is that Gowon made Saturday a work-free day because of Seventh Day Adventist.

We have had more Muslims as our president, and the military with fiat power could have easily made Friday a public holiday, they never did.

I am not a religious teacher but I'm just using common sense to interpret this passage. Do you see where it says disperse and seek bounty? Did it say disperse and go and sleep or rest or drink?

Something is definitely wrong with us if we are not careful with the zealous attitude we try to show we are religious in Nigeria. People should take some time off but not the day off, we are just encouraging laziness, whether it's Islam or Christianity.

Nigerians are desperate to show you that they are religious so they like to put a show of it. Christian service on Sundays too, there is so much time wasting (this is why Iike The Catholic Church, very organize anD detailed) and I think the church organizers already know that this is a free day, we can do anything we like with their time. People use Sundays at churches and they only have the night time to really rest, then they come in on Monday grumpy and tired when they were supposed to rest on Sunday. They already went for a party on Saturday.

Now if we have a traditionalist as our President, will we be okay if he says he wants Thursday or Tuesday as no work day to worship?

In many Islamic countries (and Jewish countries), Friday afternoon prayers hold significant importance, and it is important that workers have the day off to attend. However, there is a growing trend amongst Middle Eastern countries to transition to a Saturday and Sunday weekend.

I respect the Muslim countries that have Friday off because 1 they know themselves and 2 because they know themselves, they take Friday and Saturday off, making Sunday to Thursday the work day. We want to do Monday to Thursday amidst this poverty and unemployment? God bless Nigeria!

A stay at home dad should be a work from home boss because women don't usually like what looks like them, including what they perceive as weak men but when I read that he took his wife's last name, I saved myself of unnecessary advice.

Just so you know, women who have tried this boss thing, especially the ones with kids but they cannot live with the emotional guilt and jealousy of the dad being a good father and they are not there because they are 'working'. Men on the other hand have learned not to complain, the man that complains is a weak man, so you are taught to learn how to make things work. Men are deliberately lazy because it is a choice, if they decide to stop acting like that, women would not have anyone to take care of. Men lived alone before they got married to you so they can survive on bread for 7 days. They are that lazy and annoying. That's why when a woman comes into a man's house, she changes things because it is in her nature to be more caring and organized. You will see the difference between a man who is living like he is in a jungle and a woman who turns that jungle to a royal house. I hear women saying it's not my job to take care of an adult, I can make my own money. I pity you. Men that have been spoiled by their mothers, you now think he only wants to wive you because you are a man like him? A man is choosing who can take care of his house, any other thing, he is lying to you. You will be surprised that this man who is a stay at home dad will still have women hitting at him because he is caring and the woman will start seeing other housewives in the neighborhood as competitors🤣
Women these days say that men are not properly brought up, that they can't do house chores. Without money, the stay at home dad will have other women admiring him that if you send him out of the house because you control the finance, other women will quickly pick him up. My dear, it is not because he is Oga at work that women are flocking after him. You think if you remove money from men, they will be weak.

I tell people that historically, our parents and their parents married early. Western education and influence delayed marriage age unlike before. This is why though I don't support underage marriage, I always question people who say some people are too young to marry. Ask them to talk to their parents and trace the age they got married. Who also defines the age? People are shocked that others get married early because they don't know they're still living in the brainwashed order of life.

They also married, divorced and remarried, so time has shown that even if you wait till 40, you won't be full proof from making mistakes 20s will make. Marriage is an important institution and it's cherished in Africa. This useless fear mongering annoys me about young people.

I agree with sharing something. In fact, what is going on today is that women were formerly dependent on men because they had the economic advantage in the past. Today many men are not prepared for the shift in power and women are not in the old way where they can live n their own without a man because they have money!

I agree. This life is transactional even if people like to deny it but I think romance defies logic and this is where emotion takes over. Even in finance, not all expenditures are logical, some spending are emotional. I agree with you. It's difficult to expect a woman, except she has some moral values, religious beliefs or sees something others cannot see to be submissive when you have nothing. This is why again I said this is an emotional decision. For instance, when some women have it all, they then have to decide whether they want to settle with someone and who they want to. Usually they will eliminate the men in the pool who do not have anything, then the men who have but not up to them, then they start looking at the man who are either at par or above them. It's mostly in Beauty and The Beast that one rich person will go for a poor person. It doesn't matter happen in real life but again it does. People choose something about an individual and decide to spend the rest of their lives with this person. An old rich man knows this young girl wants his money but he doesn't care, he still marries her at 86 and she's 26 and an old woman, a grandma can do this too but they all know what they want.
