So why did he now have to fix millions of dollars that belongs to the State in Fidelity Bank?
Yorubasarecurse: Assuming you were not beclouded by bias you would know that the electoral act was assented by the president and that the act was tailored to favor the president and the apc
Bobloco: A public affairs analyst, Sumner Sambo, has said that the presidency failed Nigerians in the 2026 Electoral Act because it did not pay adequate and due diligence before signing the Act.
Sambo said this on Thursday while fielding questions in an interview on Arise Television.
He was reacting to the Federal High Court judgement nullifying key portions of the electoral timetable of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, ahead of the next year’s general elections.
He queried the rush by the INEC, stressing that there was enough time to study and understand the Act.
“The presidency did not pay due diligence before signing the Electoral Act. The president himself was too hasty to sign the Act without having his team to sit down and actually go through it.
“The constitutional provisions are very clear and the provisions of the Electoral act are very clear.
“If you have 120 days before an election by which political parties must submit their candidates, their credentials and all of that, and the election is January 16, why will you now bring the deadline from January 16 instead of September, and then you now bring it down to May?
“First of all, the submission of register and also the holding of campaigns, that’s primaries and all of that. Now if you take a look at this between May, June, July, August, September, we still have 4 month why is INEC rushing.
“Maybe the reason for the rush is because of the failure of the National Assembly to pass the electoral act on time, the electoral act should have been out by December 2025 so that INEC can plan its logistics very well,” he said.
iwaeda: The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has revealed that the All Progressive Congress, APC, will come to an abrupt end if President Bola Tinubu and his Vice, Kashim Shettima, fly on the same ticket in 2027.
In a statement signed by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Primate Ayodele revealed that another Muslim-Muslim ticket will be rejected nationally and internationally.
The prophet made it known that it would be a political suicide for Tinubu to go ahead with the same faith ticket, as it would cost the party a lot and would limit the party’s chances at retaining the presidential seat.
He said: “It will be a political suicide for Tinubu and Shettima to be on the same ticket for the 2027 presidential election.
“Tinubu should see it as an end for the APC as a party because people will stand against it.
“Even Muslims and natural forces in Nigeria will go against it. Such a ticket will attract national and international struggles for the president, and this will limit the chances of the APC retaining victory in 2027.”
Likewise, Primate Ayodele made it known that dropping Shettima as a running mate would also cost the President a lot.
He stated that Tinubu will be in a dilemma.
“Also, not picking Shettima will cost Tinubu a lot; it will cost him what he doesn’t expect, and he will be confused.”
Primate Ayodele explained that the administration has been an error from the moment they decided to go with a Muslim-Muslim ticket. According to him, paying for the consequences or correcting the mistake will be tough.
He noted that God has never been in support of the government and that there will be more issues to be faced by President Tinubu.
“The government is an error right from the moment they decided to do a Muslim-Muslim ticket, and it will be hard to correct.
“God has never been in support of the government, and that’s why a lot of things are happening. It will be hard for the president; only God can show him mercy,” he added.
Yemmysworld91: They are not realistic and objective with little knowledge of politics and Nigeria political history. They see neutrals like us as supporting the government in power even when I'm not. I'm neutral and I will remain like that for now. But I hate their sheer hypocrisy
If you're not supporting their Candidate, they see you as an enemy immediately.
Yemmysworld91: You typed like someone writhing in pains and can't respect other people's opinion. Anyways I'm just a political analyst and a realist. The hypocrisy of people like you because you dislike the government in power makes it difficult to remove the speck in your eyes. You people don't seem to see your hypocritical stance as irritating and childish. I come in peace.
deesquarediddy: One of the most painful realities in Nigeria today is not just bad leadership, it is how many citizens now defend, celebrate, and even worship the same systems and individuals responsible for their suffering.
This did not happen overnight, it is the result of decades of psychological conditioning, economic hardship, institutional failure, and survival-based thinking. Many Nigerians are no longer fighting for justice. They are simply trying to survive. And when survival becomes the priority, people begin to adapt to oppression instead of resisting it.
Poverty has been weaponized so effectively that basic necessities are now treated like favors from politicians rather than rights of citizens. A bag of rice, temporary cash gifts, or political appointments suddenly become enough to buy loyalty and silence criticism.
At the same time, education has been deliberately weakened. An enlightened population asks questions, demands accountability, and challenges corruption. But a struggling and poorly informed society is easier to manipulate emotionally, tribally, and religiously. This is why tribal and religious sentiments are constantly used to justify incompetence and defend failure.
Instead of asking: “Is this leader effective?” People ask: “Is he from my tribe?” “Does he attend my church or mosque?” “Can I benefit from him personally?”
Survival has replaced ideology.
Many people no longer support leaders because they believe in vision or competence. They support whoever can provide temporary protection, connection, or crumbs from power.
Meanwhile, meritocracy continues to die. Hard work, intelligence, and honesty are increasingly ignored, while corruption, manipulation, and political loyalty are rewarded. Justice itself is often manipulated to protect the powerful while intimidating the weak.
Public institutions that should defend the people are weakened and undermined. Security agencies that should protect citizens are sometimes used for personal intimidation and suppression of opposition.
Over time, people begin to normalize injustice. They start praising those who oppress them because they believe resistance is hopeless or dangerous. And slowly, society loses its moral direction.
Today: Lies are accepted as truth. Jealousy is seen as strength. Praise is often given to those who cause pain.
Sadly, the fight is no longer for justice or freedom. It is often just a fight to replace those currently in power. And once many get there, they repeat the exact same oppression they once complained about. That is the cycle destroying Nigeria.
True change will only begin when Nigerians stop glorifying oppression, stop defending failure because of tribe or religion, and stop repeating the same destructive patterns. A nation cannot heal when victims become future oppressors.
The real revolution starts when truth matters more than loyalty, competence matters more than connections, and justice matters more than personal gain.
