chuckdee4: ^^ I concur, was not sufre where Sahin was going to fit in, from the clips i saw he wasn't very defensive.
M'Villa still seems like a better option IMO but i won't count on that happening.

In the mean time who has the number for the RSPCA? grin
M'Villa has since been shouting that he is available. grin

But I really do hope all these signing is sorted out immediately. Moreover, I am also of the opinion that once the season has started, transfers and all these distractions should stop.

As for that irritating rodent on this board, do you really think RSPCA can effectively handle it? cheesy

coogar: they didn't pay for her flight ticket or hotel room - that part isn't clear...stop speculating.
she comes from a rich background and she's into business herself - so what makes you think her flight/hotel was paid for by the thugs?
The no of educated eediots posting their drivel here leaves me gobsmacked. No wonder Dangote now wants so-called graduates as his truck drivers.

Sampling of posts here, indicates that people are daft in sound deductive reasoning.
obviously much more to this story than meets the eye.

also, it seems the girl wasnt a stranger to lagos- she'd modelled there before, in 2007.

so, possibly she stayed in hotels that time, or does anyone know if she roomed with friends/family.

i guess she also trusted those men because she assumed it would be business as usual and there was nothing to fear. Unless she was hypnotized? huh

one thing parents have to teach kids is whatever you're running from, which you left behind, has a way of coming to meet you elsewhere. So do not neglect to inform your kids of these dangers and generational enmities.

but its only God who can help sha.
What a show off with your blissful stupidity.

Sad story. My condolence to the family members and also to a Nairaland member who was very close to this late girl and saw her as her junior sister.

Hard to imagine human beings will be this wicked to a girl who simply just wanted to expand her business. I would also imagine the fact that they all speak the same local language made her trust these men the more.

Deeply unfortunate.

dayokanu: Champions League is my hope for Bayern.

I cant see that many teams better than us in Europe. Maybe only Barcelona. After them I believe with our team

Same team from last yr with the inclusion of Shaqiri, Dante, Mandzukic and (Martinez)we can stand toe to toe with Madrid
This is preposterous!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Pataki: 1:16pm On Aug 20, 2012
Please stop mentioning Ramsey. He is part of the quantity players.

Diaby is back so why are you still including him on the players we are expecting to return? undecided And given his past injury record, we have to be mindful how we use him.

Another striker? Hmmmm, maybe. But keep in mind we have Walcott, Gervinho and Parkhuh But truly indeed nothing stops us from getting 2-3 more quality players which includes 2 midfielders and possibly a rugged striker - Demba.....maybe. cheesy

As for Wenger, he has perfected the art of lying. But there is no denying the fact that truly indeed he has added quality players into the squad this season. cheesy
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Pataki: 1:02pm On Aug 20, 2012
This numeric dolt does not get sarcasm laced with insult directed at it.

Two players that need to be thrown off from the Chelsea squad are Lampard and Mikel. Lampard has a year contract left, hope he follows the likes Drogba. As for Mikel, he is a hopeless case.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Pataki: 12:49pm On Aug 20, 2012
debosky: ^^ Highly unlikely unless another midfielder is moving out.

Like I said before Song's departure, any midfield arrival is dependent on a player leaving. As things stand right now it doesn't make sense to add two midfielders. I've been wrong before but I would be very shocked if we signed two players without letting someone else go.
Going by what Wenger said at the end of last season: "we are adding quality not quantity to the team", who would have imagined that we would go for two experienced strikers this season in place of RVP's departure? If indeed Chamakh will be loaned out and Bendtner is sold alongside Song, Arsenal is more than able to get 2-3 more quality not quantity players into the squad.

When is this eediot gonna be banned?

@ Arsenal,

Is it really true we are going for M'Villa and getting Sahin on loan? I hope the gist about Bendtner and Chamakh are very true though.

After the first ten minutes, there was absolutely nothing fantastic with Chelsea again.

Save except for the sheer brilliant display by Oscar in the second half.

4llerbuntu: I get how arsenal is d new flavor of the month helping you all forget your worries. Pretty convenient isn't it?

At least you're all wiser now and not predicting relegation or europa cup like you used to foolishly do

Im just pretty bemused that the same squad you got that produced months and months of debates and sparring on this thread has suddenly become good by the purchase of 1player in the position where there is no need.

Like seriously, this has to be the weirdest ever. Before that transfer was mooted, there were the usual fantasy football list here. When the news broke, you all spoke against the move citing more pressing needs. The moment the move was done, allaluiaaa all is well in mancunia again. 1 player!!!

Unlike the usual arsenal fan, i honestly wish the dude well. Goodluck. He secured himself a big payday. A four year deal at his age worth that much is rare, really rare.

That said, i hope he can play defence and dm too. cheesy

Similar to chelsea, as usual they gone and bought a lot again. The thing is just that it is pretty difficult to conclude that the problem with them was missing personnel. How many deficient squads win the CL? The position in which they lost a massive player, they have not replaced. Squad mentality and discipline is still d same, yet they buying prima donnas.

So yes, its very convenient having arsenal as a distraction now is it not?
All is well in the Macunia arena I must say! cheesy

Who needs a ferking midfielder when you have gotten Robin van Perfect! grin

All is well I say, all is truly well! cheesy

Can't wait for Everton to thrash oldtrashford! All is well! cheesy

Babamide: U didn't even answer the question. When Drogba was at the nations cup in january, torres was flunking week in week out. It is a new season now and he is the only striker, no excuses. Let's see how long he would last. What I'm simply trying to say is that apart from both manchester teams, Lukaku is good enough to walk into any epl team. Why is he not good enough for substitute striker at chelsea??
That thing does not know how to answer questions directly nor properly. Be very wary with the bombshells ''it'' would throw at you in ''its'' rejoinder to your post above.

That said, I hope Lukaku NEVER returns to Chelsea. That boy has got so much potential far beyond what Chelsea saw in Drogba. But of course, this present Chelsea are not attack minded, which is why I deeply regret for Hazard. Even though his pride led him to where he is right now. Does my post sound like I have written off Chelsea this season? Oh yes I have!

Do not be surprised if West Brom end up above Chelsea on the Premier league table; afterall, Arsenal utilized Yossi Benayoun effectively towards the end of last season which Chelsea was never able to do.

Misplaced priority. If this rumor is indeed true, clearly your RDM is confused.

What do you need Modric for? Oscar, Lampard, Ramires, Hazard, Marko, Mata, Mereiles, etc are all there.

Chelsea is indeed the most confused club this season. Let's see whether you can improve your table position from 6th last season to relegation this season. cheesy

Haters and their haterade! Pfffffffffff!!!!

We did not lose, and neither did our boys play badly. It is clearly apparent there is need for a blend of play by the players between the old and the new within the team.

That said, I am impressed with Cazorla. That boy is simply magical.

Well done Arsenal. RVP will be regretting that he left this sound and promising team right now. cheesy
