Personally I think this is where the problem lies. She has never presented him with any kind of challenge. Before he can get a request out of his mouth, she has the answer or solution. She does not argue, or voice her opinion with him in an assertive way EVER!!!!

The bulk of the problem is with her. She is so reserved, and I suspect the lady he spends her time with on the phone, is more open minded and talks without barriers easily to him.

I for one as a guy, cannot stand a lady who is a human dummy. Someone who is often too reserved to pick up and discuss topics/issues with me, such a lady expects that I would always be the initiator of a conversation, even when I kick start it, she is often times so uninteresting to continue a converse with. Such a lady, I suspect she will be very boring and dry in the bedroom, expecting the man to keep things going on and on.

The lady on the phone may not be all that. She may be the type who knows how to keep a conversation going on for hours without stopping, throws challenging discussion and never a dull moment with.

Your cousin should try and see where her inadequacies lie, and work towards redeeming it, rather than throwing threats at the man.
