Spy360: See as AW make Patakisports jobless. Hehehehe.
I take solace from the fact that the year we went invincible, Arsene signed just one player, a goal keeper- Lehmann.
Is history repeating itself? Dunno, the drawback is that this present squad has absolutely no resemblance with invincibles.
#WengerWaka My brother, Wenger spoil market for boys oh. Anyways nothing spoil. For the first time though, I am not even worried and stressed about us not signing any players. Lets see what Le Prof will do. |

proudly9ja: I can attribute our lack of signing an outfield player to one of two things
1. Arsene has allowed Mourinho get into his head. Remember Mour accused Arsenal of "buying" the league. Perhaps Wenger wants to show he doesn't need to spend to win Mourinho cannot get into Wenger's head. I was suspect of us not buying any more players when Wenger started talking about having the transfer window shut some days back. It would only be hypocritical I assume if he suddenly jumps into the transfer market at this late hour to be buying players. |

coogar: they can't get him in january. his contract does not end in january....he would be cup-tied in the UCL by tonight when we register him in our squad. the odds are stacked against madrid and fact remains madrid waited till the last day of the window to tender their official bid. where's the proof that madrid made any bid before last night? But he can enter into a pre-contract agreement with Madrid in January - no? |

coogar: he can still be offered a new deal before next summer. anything can happen now.... de gea would certainly feel real madrid didn't do enough to get him. they had the entire summer to tie this deal and they waited till the last day. that does not look like they were gagging to get him. united still hold all the 4 aces in this saga. DREAMER! Did you read the point no 1 as released by Real Madrid? They wanted him, but ManU did not open the door for negotiations till yesterday. Ah well, January is almost here. |

coogar: van gaal should be slapped for paying such huge amount on a kid.....but at least, he recognises the fact that we need a #9.
real madrid are a bunch of divas. they have released a statement trying to blame man utd for de gea's failed transfer.
1. Manchester United did not open negotiations for David de Gea's transfer until yesterday morning
2. Real Madrid, despite the short notice and difficulties caused by this, agreed to enter negotiations
3. When United entered the negotiations, they made it clear that an agreement had to be reached with Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas and started talks with his representatives
4. Real and United reached a rapid agreement on the transfer of both players. The required documents were drafted leaving sufficient time in order to proceed with the FIFA TMS procedure before the Spanish deadline. Real forwarded the contracts to Manchester United at 13.39 Spanish time.
5. Man United sent the contracts back to Real eight hours later at 21.43 Spanish time, including minor modifications. All the changes were accepted immediately by Real in order to get the player registered with TMS and the Spanish league
6. Real Madrid, after obtaining the signatures of De Gea and Navas, sent the signed contracts back to United at 23:32 Spanish time. Real then waited to receive the final documents signed by United.
7. United reached a final agreement with the representatives of Keylor Navas at 23:53 Spanish time. It was at that time that the contracts were sent to the player and signed.
8. United entered the data for De Gea into the TMS system at midnight Spanish time but not that of Navas. The signed transfer contracts were sent to Real simultaneously. Real received the full documentation at 00:02 and tried to access the TMS system, but it was already closed.
9. At 00:26 Spanish time, the computer system of FIFA TMS sent an invitation to Real Madrid to fill in the data of De Gea. Given that the deadline for registration in England remains open today, Real decided to refer the contract to the Spanish league, even knowing that the deadlines had expired
10. In short, Real has done everything necessary, and at all times, for these two transfer to go through.
a news media in spain is saying woodward/LVG did this deliberately to avenge the sergio ramos deal. if that rumour is true then i say well played woodward. Next year DDG is a free bird. ManU do not need to reply RM. |

coogar: i don't like the martial deal......he's too young for the kinda pressure we have already placed on his shoulders. any wrong touch now would be exaggerated by the english media. for that price, we should have sought out a more established striker. unless he comes here with the ronaldo attitude and bangs in goals......it's a shot in the foot for us. I actually kinda like the deal as I have always enjoyed the passion with which ManU scouts for youthful talents out there in the past. What I do not like is the ridiculous payment made which I partly blame on ManU for holding back till this late. It places unnecessay pressure on that kid which you have rightly said. I read that 36m is just a part payment for Martial. |

pataki, i think you need to lie down now and recover from these body blows. el-feminine should be placed on a suicide watch with immediate effect - he was so convinced de gea would move. sources from skybet are saying el-feminine placed a bet on his house that de gea would live. el-feminine is now homeless, we should do a trust fund here on NL and buy him a blanket and an inflatable mattress. Spy360: If Arsene hits off the Cavani and Rabiot deals, it would be a coup.
Rabiot as backup for Le Coq, Cavani thrown into the first team as our main striker with Giroud as understudy, we will win the league.
Somebody wake me up before I faint for dream. Calm down. I think Wenger is a chess player. He has this penchant of diverting attention away from players. Remember when we got Welbeck. It was on the last day of the transfer. Wenger was pictured traveling to Italy on that same day which infuriated a lot of people. Now there are reports that we might sign Kokorin on a loan. Lets see what is happening. It might not even be Cavani and Rabiot as it is being reported. |

codedguy1: We know what you believe already. Its all over this thread so don't come and try to be reasonable by saying ' I want to believe we did not sabotage the deal'
You are disappointed De Gea is still in United and evidences are coming out that Man U were not responsible for the botched deal.
When did you last post on your thread Pata-Clown? Show me a NL rule that forbids me from posting anywhere on this board? If my post bothers you, na your headache guy. I was honestly shocked that deal did not go through. I am not hiding the fact that I wanted DDG out of ManU as I strongly believe he is the strongest link in your team. Every EPL team especially the top teams are looking for the weakest link in their opponents. That said, DDG staying in ManU is equally unsettling for your team. How DDG moves on now with his career depends on how LvG handles it. So far, LvG does not have an outstanding record with GKs from teams he has managed. So let DDG stay. In fact, I sincerely hope the appeal is not granted in favor of RM by FIFA. |
