Thanks for your input The guy is 43 already with 2kids how can one save with 160k income in this economy plus time is no longer on his side that's why we were really advising him to start something he can grow being a personal driver at 43 years is more like being a domestic staff at that age Also he can't be doing driver and learning solar at thesame time uote author=Onegai post=138822080]N160k a month isn't bad. He'll need to work super hard and make time to learn his solar and CCTV business whilst working as a personal driver. People go to school and work at the same time, all the time, it's do-able. I'd say take the job, give himself 3 years with the job so he can save up and be learning his solar business on the side. You never know, his Oga may need to recommend someone doing solar and if his driver has done his job diligently as the Lord commands us in the Bible, this could be a big opportunity.[/quote] |
so in essence what skills do you suggest he learns @ 43 that he can grow with since solar isnt advisable at that age thanks for your input GloriousGbola: |
Good evening house I have this close friend of mine that is going through some shit and really needs advice/ suggestions so I decided to throw it up here. This guy was doing well before he got married ten years ago but he lost his job one year after the wedding and has been struggling for nine years plus now. Two years after being unable to secure another job I advised him to look for a trade/ handwork to learn and forget about job search he refused instead he started using his car for uber after some years the car developed engine problems and as he couldn't raise funds to get a new engine he sold it and gave the money to his wife to start a foodstuff business and he still went ahead to get another car for uber under weekly remittance. All these years his focus has always been on daily bread just to put food on the table no plans for the future. Last October the owner of the car sold the car and since then he has been idle I advised him to go learn solar and cctv installation ( he is 43 years already) after 2 months or so he can register a company and start sourcing for contracts or jobs he was happy with the idea and even his wife was happy too. We planned to raise the funds for his training by month end so he can start by April But today he came telling me that he got an offer to work as a personal driver to someone the salary is 100k with additional benefits of up to 60k and he is reluctant about taking it cos he really wants to start up this solar stuff but the wife has been forcing him to accept the driving job and forget about the solar stuff for now the wife is a kind of person that only thinks of present needs not future she just wants him to be contributing to house upkeep now now. So my people what is the best advice for this guy. To me I feel he should not take the job he should go for this solar training and hustle for his life is that a bad advice ![]() |

biafranrealson:That is the same question I keep asking. The baby's mother is a very stupid and careless woman. How can someone seize your suckling baby and you kept quiet for this long. You didn't run to the police? You didn't cry for neighbours to intervene? You didn't create a scene in front of the woman's house? How did you even sleep at night all these while |
I saw my invite very late so I couldn't take the test any solution? |
First of all with a salary of 100k you have no business buying a car I believe you should have used part of your savings to develop yourself by learning new skills over the weekends skills that you can actually earnn from and then you can think of resigning your job . Don't be deceived there is no money in bolt driving. The fares bolt charge are ridiculously low 80% of what you get driving on bolt goes into fuel vehicle maintenance and bolt commission. |
Good day people My car developed a problem on the express way gwarimpa to be precise I couldn't move the car do I switched on the hazard light and also placed the triangle few meters away from the car then crossed over to seek for assistance the nest thing I saw was another driver just rammed into the vehicle from behind causing extensive damage to both cars. The frsc officials came and took pics and videos and now assisted to tow both vehicles out of the way to the service lane. Now the guy that hit my car is claiming he doesn't have money at all to fix my car that the car he is driving isn't his but he is doing uber with it he also claimed he called the owner of the car and he isn't willing to assist. My issue is how do I force this guy to fix my car. To fix that car would cost at least 150k. Also ism trying my best not to involve the police because involving the police might slow the process and involve additional cost |

A STATE-WIDE BROADCAST BY HIS EXCELLENCY, NYESOM EZENWO WIKE ON WEDNESDAY, MARCH 25, 2020 My Dear Good People of Rivers State, Two days ago, I addressed you on measures we have taken as a State to ensure that coronavirus is prevented from entering our dear State. In that broadcast, I announced the setting up of Surveillance Posts at our land and sea borders, beginning from Tuesday, March 24, 2020. I also informed you that after due consultations with Religious Leaders, all forms of open worship including crusades and vigils were banned. Public Burials and weddings were prohibited, while public parks, night clubs and Cinemas were directed to close down. You will also recall that I said that we shall continue to review the situation and adjust accordingly . It is with gratitude to God that I announce to you that our State would have been infected with coronavirus yesterday, but for the vigilance of security agents who, acting on a tip- off prevented an infected person from boarding a flight from Abuja to Port Harcourt. The infected person beat all security measures that were put in place at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja and was to sneak into Port Harcourt before security agents stopped her. Based on this alarming Information, the State Security Council met yesterday and reviewed measures already put in place and decided that there was urgent need to adopt stringent measures to protect those living and doing business in the state from the virus. The Council has therefore taken the following painful decisions: 1. With effect from 6p.m on Thursday, March 26, 2020 , the Port Harcourt International Airport, Omagwa will not be open to air traffic. While we may not have the right to stop flights from entering Port Harcourt, we cannot allow anybody coming from the airport to enter our State. We are confident that the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) and other federal agencies will cooperate with us. 2. All Land and Sea Borders will be closed. 3. Vehicular movements in an out of the state have been banned. These measures are to remain in force until further notice. Let me reiterate that the situation we are facing requires drastic measures because coronavirus has ravaged many countries. Security Agencies have been empowered to strictly enforce this directive. There will be no room for sacred cows because the virus is no respecter of persons. May I once again call for the support and understanding of everyone living and doing business in Rivers State to help the relevant Government Agencies implement these measures to check the spread of coronavirus to the state. At this time in our national life, we must shun primordial sentiments and face the reality on ground. I am confident that God being on our side , the temporary hardship we are facing today will come to an end very soon. Thank You and God Bless. |

okorotalkative:Thanks |
Good day pals Iam in a dilemma and would appreciate sincere and matured ideas. I lost my job 2 years ago and all effort to secure another has not yielded any fruit. Things have really been tight for my family since then so this January I decided iam going to sell my only plot of land and use the money to get a car for e-hailling services (uber etc) pending when I get a job or when I can get visa to leave the country. My fear now is that is such business worth investing such money into (1.5m for a Toyota corolla) what are the risks I might encounter doing such business lastly is there any other business I can invest such funds into that would be giving me income weekly. I really do not want to make a mistake. |
Please can u explain why an EOD isn't a good car for such services I currently have an EOD and was planning to start uber services with it this year |
