That's the major cause of sinkholes.

Whenever the water table of a particular area is depleted, the land sinks due to lack of support (the water table usually serve as support).
In Lagos, there's an agency that regulates the drilling of boreholes. This sinkhole of a thing is also the reason why in the United States and other advance countries, the government provides a centralised system of supplying water to their citizenry.

There's a lot of ambiguity concerning this Grazing route of a thing. The government should resolve this crisis just like the developed nations.
