Health / Why Is Tears Rolling Down When Reading. by patlyrx: 12:54am On Jun 08, 2015
Pals, need your assistance on this.
A friend of mine in Polytechnic once complained to me that when ever he opens his book to read his body becomes weak, he feels tired and hungry and as if something hurts him, tears roll down his checks from his eyes.
I told him he is afraid of learning and that he should get used to reading. He told me he can read stuffs not relating to education for pretty 30mins. He is an engineer and according to him can do calculations for about 2hrs.

Just today, in church service I over heard a girl telling her friend same thing. Her own, when ever she opens her book to read other thoughts come to her mind according to her its that time she will remember to sweep the house, return a book she borrowed or even pay visit to a friend and it won't stop except she closed the book and sleep or do any of those things her thoughts told her. She said if she stands up to perform any of the duties she will never comeback to the book that whole and it repeats. According to her she has drawn away from reading.

Has anyone experienced this, or should I ask my friend (male) to visit a doctor.
And to your opinion what could be the problem.

Very well written. Anyway,I still don't believe we have entered "one chance" bus. The administration is still new,let us give him time. Buhari has so many people who have interest in how he runs his government and I think he has to start shedding them off, else he may not achieve much.
May God use him to lift this country,Nigerians are going through "hell".
God bless Buhari.

EUROBOMBER:
There is nothing wrong in holding meetings and also nothing wrong in a struggle geared towards the betterment of the people of the Niger Delta. My advise is that we should give Buhari a chance and see what he has to offer, who knows, he might turn out to be a blessing for the region. Jonathan was there for over 5yrs and nothing to show for it even in the Niger Delta! I am still at a shock today that Jonathan could not ensure that Ibaka seaport at Akwa Ibom was given priority and completed before the end of his tenure. One vital thing we need for a massive turnaround in the East would be a functioning seaport capable of berthing large ocean liners so that our people can massively divert their import activities to the East but the stark reality is that Jonathan failed. He also promised to build a second Niger bridge before 2015 and here we are in 2015 and the bridge has not been built.

What if Buhari builds that seaport? What if Buhari eventually builds that second Niger bridge?

I am really angry with Jonathan. angry

What Jonathan did any other who doesn't want to shed blood will do.
People should stop saying Jonathan did nothing except u are referring to Niger Delta.
The roads, Companies, Car plants are all under GEJ admin to an extend, Nigeria is seen as best place for potential investment and if Buhari settles, more investors will surely come.
Let the Niger Deltas prepare for the future.
There is nothing wrong except BMG goes for witch hunt which Amaechi has listed some names.
It is worth giving GMB a trial but he also should know that the Niger Delta needs to be developed.
Yaradua gave contract to east west only while Jona gave more contracts to North and SW.
GMB should brain himself with programs to help people of the ND as GEJ did for the Almajiris.
He should not go for fight, he isn't a better fighter to OBJ who really did not help matters.

Politics / Is Buhari Focused? by patlyrx: 10:19pm On Apr 27, 2015
I am one of those who did not like the power monger Buhari to win but he has won and will remain my President for any year as stipulated in the constitution.
However, I have frowned at his recent comments which we accused GEJ of some.
Buhari told us he will not probe past administration which we were not the one that told him to air that but of recent, the same Buhari is to revisit NNPC scam.
He promised to make Nigeria a country worth living and has also told us not to expect miracles.
He said to make naira equal to a dollar his supporters, have denied and he himself.
I can see Buhari might not know what he is into now but I think what he should have done is to be telling Nigerians the first achievement he is to make in the first 90days in office.
He should how ever reserve most of his statements till he resume office.

Buhari could forward a bill to the National Assembly that would limit the number of federal ministries. As he has already stated that he would implement the Oronsanye Panel report on the restructuring of federal MDAs, a reduction in the number of ministries would be a step in the right direction.
The 14 existing ministries should be: Justice, Health, Finance, Education, Foreign Affairs, Defense, Commerce, Energy, FCT, Labour, Internal Affairs, Agriculture, Works and Transport, Aviation.

There have being many lies being peddled about amaechi. this thread is meant to expose some truths that people seem to have forgotten

1 AMECHI was suspended from PDP and did not decamp by himself

2. PEJ started the fight when she lambasted Amechi at Okrika because he wanted to build a school for her people.

3. PDP party structure was taken from Amechi and replaced with Wike and PEJ loyalist

4. Soku Oil wells and many others was ceded to bayelsa during GEJ's regime and amaechi challenged this.

5. Monorails the world over cost a lot of money to build. Take the hitachi moneyrail for instance, built in 2006 that cost $73.4 million/km

if Portharcourt 2.6 monorail is viewed in this instance, it would cost about $200million to finish.

More facts to come up as the thread advances.

Not denying the fact that he has tried. But you people did not include the following
** He was the last governor that endorsed GEJ in 2015
** He was not supposed to be appointed chairman of NGF and instead of him relinquishing he opted for election and paid #19b to 19 Governors for support.
** He told pensioners that their money is in his pocket and that he won't pay them. That if they can let them come to his pocket and collect.
** That he cutted workers salary with impunity
** He built schools now covered with grasses with no pupil nor students.
** Still owes workers more than 9 months.
** Shut down courts and people dying in prison.
** Used Rivers money to support cow rearer who has now turned to be a dollars rearer in matter of days.
** Stood on Omehia's project as he acclaimed to be his eg eleme junction flyover, increment of workers salary.
** Took people's land in SOGHO to plant plantain.
** Refused to conduct LGA election for nine months.
** Converts SURE-P money as a state project there by presenting himself rather than GEJ.

Yes he built school some not functioning.

Hmmm when will Nigeria be ripe for that.
Science/Technology / Nigeria Signs Pact With Russia's Rosatom To Build 4 Nuclear Power Plants by patlyrx: 2:23pm On Apr 15, 2015
Nigeria is now one step closer to building as many as four nuclear power plants costing some $80bn (£54.7bn, €75.7bn).

The West African nation has signed an agreement with Russia's Rosatom to cooperate on the design, construction, operation and decommissioning of an atomic power facility, according to Franklin Erepamo Osaisai, chairman and CEO of the Nigeria Atomic Energy Commission.

The first nuclear plant will be operational in 2025.

It will be increased to four plants with a total capacity of 4,800 megawatts by 2035, with each facility costing $20bn, according to Osaisai, Bloomberg reported. One megawatt can power 2,000 average European homes or nearly 333 in Japan.

Majority stake

Rosatom will hold a majority stake in Nigeria's nuclear facilities while the rest will be owned by the state, with roles to be defined in contractual agreements, Osaisai said.

The plants will be financed by the vendor, which will then build, own, operate and transfer them to the government, he added. The Nigerian government "will enter a power-purchasing agreement for the nuclear plant".

"A joint coordination committee is in place and negotiations are ongoing for financing and contracting. We are meticulously implementing our plans," Osaisai said at a conference in Kenya's Kwale coastal region.

Nigeria's peak electricity output is about 3,800 megawatts, with another 1,500 megawatts unavailable because of gas shortages.

South Africa

Meanwhile, South Africa, which has a third of Nigeria's population and eight times more installed capacity, has also signed an agreement with Rosatom to add 9,600 megawatts of nuclear power to its stressed grid.

South Africa's agreement with Rosatom gave the firm the right to veto the nation doing business with any other nuclear vendor, the Johannesburg-based Mail & Guardian reported in February.

The Russian company has an international portfolio of orders exceeding $100bn, CEO Sergei Kiriyenko said in December 2014.

The African continent's sole nuclear power station is Koeberg in South Africa, owned by state-owned Eskom Holdings SOC.

Opec-member Nigeria is Africa's largest oil producer.

maimalari:
International election observers on Sunday called for the cancellation of the Governorship and House of Assembly elections in Rivers.

The leader of African Centre for Leadership Strategies and Development, Mr Humphrey Bekaren, who spoke on behalf of the observers, made the call in Port Harcourt.

He said the observers were shocked that INEC disregarded the widely reported violent irregularities to begin the process of declaring results in the state.

“We request all lovers of democracy to join us in calling for the outright cancellation of the phony election.

“Unless this is done, we would have sown the seed that could eventually grow into providing a shade of fear and death over us,” he said.

According to Bekaren, what happened in Rivers was a far cry from what election should be.

“What we saw did not meet international standard of electioneering, not even the ones set by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC,’’ he said.

http://www.pmnewsnigeria.com/2015/04/12/international-observers-call-for-cancellation-of-rivers-result/

How much did Amaechi paid, I know he spend money without thinking when he want to do nonsense.
The funniest is that the international observer didn't tell INEC Amaechi was going from polling to another to intimidate voters.
They did not tell INEC either that Amaechi refused to conduct LGA elections and appointed care taker chairman for three consecutive time.
The international observers refused to know elections happened in Rivers rather they are blinded by RS money.
So what happened to the coverage by the media which showed election was free fair and credible except by those areas APC instigated the crisis.
It may interest some people to know APC started trouble in so many LGA trying to snatch ballot boxes like in Gokana and this happened in my very eyes.

But its just unfortunate dat d Rivers people r being sentimental abt dis whole tin. quote author=atlwireles post=32643401]

People dislike Amaechi, the destruction he caused Rivers state for the past three years is beyond understanding. Peace has now returned to Rivers. Let Amaechi go and make his noise in Abuja. The shock of his life awaits him.

I love your piece.
But remember Amaechi worked in the first four years he won under PDP. Since he perceived the habit of becoming a President or Vice P, he has done absolutely nothing. Many roads abandoned, retirees not been paid for some months.
Like you said fighting Jonathan brought him down and me personally I disliked him just for that act.
Secondly, I perceive he will run for presidency come 2019 and you know what that means if Dakuku had won.
Also, the political big weights are just too many in PDP; Odili, Omehia, Ikuru his deputy and naturally some people just loved him that they even work when there is no money.
APC has some population because of the 10k Amaechi shared.
And don't forget Amaechi was afraid to conduct LGA elections even a house of assembly, Amaechi did not conduct to test his popularity.
Well, the only problem of Amaechi is that he tends to be greedy and releases the money without thinking when he wants something at the detriment of others.
I believe Wike will spread and paint Rivers State with wealth.
