Difficult situation. Even if she sits for WAEC or NECO now, she can pass the exam on her own. And the COs are not fools they will find out. Let her try sha but in her mind she should forget about it.
victorygoodness: My brother's wife just confirm she won DV2013 today. She is 38 years old and the principal winner with a daughter and her hubby but... she only completed Junior secondary (JSS3) and droped out to learn tailoring which she practice pro and her profession now. My question now is that, how do we create academic history for her? She also plan to sit for Waec and neco external which she hope to use. Do we need to write on the form that she finished secondary school in 1984 with no waec result? Do we need to write it on the form that she is a tailor? PLEASE HELLLLPP.

You are supposed to write the CN on the forms and not on the envelope. Meanwhile, you can send a mail to KCC explaining this to them. Nobody will disqualify you for that mistake but just send a mail for courtesy sake.
aseel981: Hello, i have just seen in one reply that we should write our confirmation number on every form, i did not do that! i sent the forms to KCC in an envelop and have only put the confirmation number on the envelop. would that be enough? thanks in advance smiley

Kemzone2003: Tosmy...This are my comments based on what is written in black and white by the US Consulate in Lagos & KCC

BASE ON YOUR WIFE'S RESULT(5 CREDIT WHICH SHE USED TO GET ADMISSION FOR NCE) SHE IS QUALIFIED SEE ANALYSIS

Base on the requirement below. All you need is a proof that you completed secondary school even if you dont have a credit with your secondary school testimonial to show that you finish secondary school. Then you can use the other result with 5 credit to complement.....

Education Credentials
Those who have successfully completed high school must take the West African Examination Council (WAEC) examinations to receive their diplomas or enter a university. The examinations are scored on a scale of 1 to 9, with 1 being the best and 9 the worst. To enter a university, the applicant must have received credit (a score of 1-6) in five subjects. For diploma programs, he or she must have received 3 or 4 credits. Scores of 7 or 8 are only ordinary passes and give no credit. A score of P8 or F9 indicates failing. There is a national WAEC office in Lagos where all results can be checked to verify educational level

See Link for details http://www.travel.state.gov/visa/fees/fees_5455.html?cid=9704

Required DV Qualifying Education or Work Experience
The principal diversity visa applicant must have a high school education, or its equivalent, OR two years of qualifying work experience in the last five years.

Education: Submit to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate at your interview, a certificate of completion equivalent to a U.S. diploma, school transcripts, or other evidence issued by the person or organization responsible for maintaining records, which specifies the completed course of study. The diversity visa selectee must have completed a 12-year course of elementary and secondary education in the U.S. or a comparable course of study in another country, sufficient in itself to qualify a student to apply for college admission. The following are not acceptable:

•Equivalency certificates (such as the G.E.D.) are not acceptable.
•Vocational degrees that are not considered a basis for further academic study will not be considered equivalent to U.S. high school education.

BASE ON YOUR WIFE'S JOB AS A TEACHER SHE IS ALSO QUALIFIED SEE ANALYSIS

Summary Report for:
25-2031.00 - Secondary School Teachers, Except Special and Career/Technical Education
Teach students in one or more subjects, such as English, mathematics, or social studies at the secondary level in public or private schools. May be designated according to subject matter specialty.

Sample of reported job titles: Teacher, English Teacher, Math Teacher (Mathematics Teacher), Social Studies Teacher, Science Teacher, Spanish Teacher, High School English Teacher, Secondary Teacher, Art Teacher, History Teacher
Job Zone
Title Job Zone Four: Considerable Preparation Needed
Education Most of these occupations require a four-year bachelor's degree, but some do not.
Related Experience A considerable amount of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is needed for these occupations. For example, an accountant must complete four years of college and work for several years in accounting to be considered qualified.
Job Training Employees in these occupations usually need several years of work-related experience, on-the-job training, and/or vocational training.
Job Zone Examples Many of these occupations involve coordinating, supervising, managing, or training others. Examples include accountants, sales managers, database administrators, teachers, chemists, environmental engineers, criminal investigators, and special agents.
SVP Range (7.0 to < 8.0)

http://www.onetonline.org/link/summary/25-2031.00
On this issue of 5 credits, yes what is written is clear, however, I think some peoples' experiences differs when they go for interview. We have read here on this forum people that go for interview with a result that is not complete and were denied visa, especially when you dont have a higher qualification to back it up. My advice to anyone in this shoe will be not to take things for granted and try to register for GCE if you can to be on save side.
TravelRe: DV 2013 Winners Meet Here by pator(m): 1:48pm On May 28, 2012
Kemzone2003: BASE ON LAST YEAR DV-2012 TRENDING FROM VISA BULLETIN CUT-OFF FOR Nigeria
When an allocation cut-off number is shown, visas are available only for applicants with DV regional lottery rank numbers BELOW the specified allocation cut-off number:

CASE NUMBER LESS THAN 7,000 - INTERVIEW MONTH IS OCTOBER 2012
CASE NUMBER LESS THAN 10,000 - INTERVIEW MONTH IS NOVEMBER 2012
CASE NUMBER LESS THAN 12,000 - INTERVIEW MONTH IS DECEMBER 2012
CASE NUMBER LESS THAN 14,500 - INTERVIEW MONTH IS JANUARY 2013
CASE NUMBER LESS THAN 16,000 - INTERVIEW MONTH IS FEBRUARY 2013
CASE NUMBER LESS THAN 17,500 - INTERVIEW MONTH IS MARCH 2013
CASE NUMBER LESS THAN 20,000 - INTERVIEW MONTH IS APRIL 2013
CASE NUMBER LESS THAN 25,000 - INTERVIEW MONTH IS MAY 2013

CURRENT - MEANS THERE ARE NO MORE DV VISA ALLOCATION FOR THAT COUNTRY
SO BASE ON LAST YEAR DV VISA BULLETIN CASE NUMBERS ABOVE 25,000 DID NOT GET INVITATION BEFORE THE ALLOCATED NUMBERS OF VISA FOR NIGERIA WAS EXHAUSTED
On the contrary, current means ALL REMAINING CASE NUMBERS BECOME CURRENT. i.e all those having case numbers above 25,000 are all current and so they will be invited for interview from the month of June.

Hello Temmy my great guy. Just wondering you are the only one still with us in this thread among all the 2012 winners, God bless you brother. Meanwhile if you have the contact of your other guys especially those that have gone tell them to continue to give us update of what is happening over there or even create a separate thread for that if possible. I believe it is not enough to win the lottery but we need adequate info for life after GC. Or let's know if there is a separatethread for that already.
TravelRe: Dv Lottery 2012 Winner Meet Here by pator(m): 4:35pm On May 25, 2012
Sorry brov, don't want to sound pessimistic but that is a grave mistake an I don't think they will want to overlook it. You can try your luck if the money is not a big deal for you, if not just move on and pray your own luck will meet you later I future.

victorygoodness: hi guys.. I need to be enlightened about this crucial issue. I am a winner of DV2013 but there was a misplacement of passport during the application i.e another person's passport submitted instead of mine at cafe. I am now a single winner and I have notified kcc about this irregularity and possible corrections if I complete the immigrant forms. They replied "KCC does not have the ability to retrieve or make changes to the data that was provided on the original entry to the lottery.

Please complete the forms DS 230 Part I, DS 230 Part II, and DSP 122 with the correct information. Once received at KCC, the information will be included in your case file for review." I have also contacted U.S Embassy Lagos and they said I should contact KCC.

Guys If I go ahead with my application, will I have problem with the consular officer on my interview date or I God's favour can befall on me. I need ur advice.
TravelRe: DV 2013 Winners Meet Here by pator(m): 6:37am On May 24, 2012
The 21st birthday thingy is refering to children of the principal applicant who are going to be derivative. You are the principal applicant it is not refering to you, you just need to be 18 years and above to be qualified.
monsieursam64: Please house, i have another issue that is bothering me. I read in one of the instructions for dv selectees, that interview needs to come before one's 21st birthday and that if it comes after d birthday d visa will be denied. My case number is 16***, i dont know if it will be possible for my interview to come before march 18th which is my 21st birthday. Please house i need your advice on this.
TravelRe: Dv Lottery 2012 Winner Meet Here by pator(m): 1:06pm On May 17, 2012
Congratulations. I also have a similar case number 16*** with yours. Based on last year VB the number became current in March and that happens to be the earliest compare to other years. In fact 2 years ago it became current in May. However it seems there are improvement year on year I.e the process gets faster. So let's hope our number will be current earlier than March this year but just put ur mind aroud March. As per the cost, u will pay $330 for visa, around 5 to 10K naira for police report and around 15 to 20K for medicals. You will need to worry about ticket after Visa has been granted. That you are undergrad does not put you at any disadvantage as long as u can prove your result and you can prove u re undergrad. @temmy, hope I represented u well...lol. My submission is based on the tutorials I have received here and other immigration site.
monsieursam64: @temmytanny, i'm new to dis thread, i ve read ur post nd i really need to say 'GOD BLESS U'. U ve really impacted lives. Pls o, i'm among the dv 2013 selectee, i am an undergraduate(currently in 400l, i still have 1yr to graduate). Will it affect me in anyway? Also, my case number is 2013AF00016***, pls do u have info on when my interview will b scheduled. Also, pls give me an estimate of the amount to b spent throughout d process. Pls sir, i would love to have ur phone number or email address. My email is monsieursam64@gmail.com & my phone no is 08167666310. Thank u sir.
Thanks house, you all have been fabulous with ur post.

garvins: I'm really excited because I was selected for further processing in the 2013 DV Lottery. I feel like I waited forever for the results, but good things come to those who wait.

Anyhoo.
Once I have mailed DSP 122 and DS230 to the KCC, how long is the wait until the next stage (which I guess is the visa interview)?

I'm really sorry if this question is posted somewhere else!

Oh, and if anyone has any tips/advice for me regarding the process from this point, please let me know.

Cheers!!

Congrats bro. Your interview date depends on your case number. If you can give idea of your case number we will be able to give you idea of when you will likely be called for interview. I will also encourage you to read through the DV 2012 thread you will learn so much as per the process and how to prepare for your interview.

Official figure for DV 2013 selectee out. Nigeria is leading the pack with 6,218 out of a total of 105K. Will DOS truly declare more winners in OCT because this number is in line with the results of previous years even slightly higher. Fingers crossed.

swisstourist: hi,
i won the dv 2012 ,so last year after playing for 12 years.
no need to hurry, you have visa bulletin board which tell you when you will get your interview. can be in 1 year...this is based on your number, not first come first served.
google for visa bulletin board.
i take 3 months to fill paper, sent all to KCC in october, and got invited in feb for interview and 1 month later got my immigrant visa. you will receive an email 3-4 weeks before interview to check the lottery webpage where you will receive new instruction. so the number is very important.

you need to have a US address as well.that can be a problem if you dont know anybody there.
when u send documents to US, be sure to include an email address, if info missing they will send you an email.this happened to me because i omitted a US address.i called a friend in California and used his postal mail address. this is the physical or postal address where they will send you the green card 3 weeks after u land in the USA.you can still change the address when u arrive in the USA.

post your question here i will try to answer. Thanks for helping us bro. Looking at the fact that not much people were selected do u think interview will be faster this time around or slower? For instance my CN is around 16***. Around what time do u think I can get interview. Thanks
