GEJ betrayed Amaechi and the Rivers people. Rivers State produced the highest number of votes for GEJ to become President. He rewarded them by diverting their Crude Oil Wells and reducing their allocation.

You guys do not even know that GEJ betrayed the Rivers people and Amaechi.

Go and read what you quoted again. Ameachi's ambition to see to it that the prophecy came to pass made him to start anti-party against the PDP. All efforts by leaders in the region for him to settle whatever issue he had with GEJ was rebuffed by him because he was bent on decamping to the then opposition where he hoped he could realise his ambition.

Are you from Rivers state or the Niger Delta? I dont think you are, because if you are, you would have known the preamble of Ameachi's treachery against the collective interest of the people of the Niger Delta. where were you when Ameachi received a prophecy that he's going to be a vice President? How can he be made a vice president in the PDP when a son of the Niger Delta was already on seat as the President? It is the prohecy that drove Ameachi to start anti-party so that he could decamp to the opposition (APC then) where he can have a chance of becoming the VP.

I can't help it but laugh aloud.. Sure, the claimed lion of Ubima is seen as an outcast and perceived with utmost disdain in Rivers state and Niger Delta in general. Amaechi's political and social future is highly endangered why APC should as a matter of morale obligation empower this man with the purpose of winning back the heart of his people. Anything less an S.G.F will make him the biggest loser. Amaechi's grudge with Jonathan is harped on the fact that he wanted to run as V.P to either Kwankwaso or any northern candidate in the PDP in the event of G.E.J not recontesting. This calculation caused the crisis and the defection that followed, but they had to swallow their pill with APC knowing that public perception on them will be negative should they fail to be accorded accordingly. Now, he had played a very prominent role in defeating his fellow kinsman out of arrogance and vendetta and his people may not forget this in a hurry. He was denied the V.P slot by Tinubu even after bankrolling PMB campaign pre and post ApC primaries.. What then can justify Amaechi's treachery? It is a loss loss situation because it will only take a miracle to be given the SGF slot to him.
