Caution, you say? Someone who commited electoral fraud?

Well, he became FCT Minister. His supporters condemned it but celebrated and called it "Agreement is Agreement"

The courts didn't even find anything wrong with it.

When someone said we are back to the OBJ era of elections, i doubted, but it is true

After seeing Wike get away with this and was even rewarded, only a foolish governor will lose election henceforth.

Sadly, it is the truth.

It will get worse going forward.

But Rivers was never a decider.

Infact, if you add all the votes from everybody and give it to Obi, he still won't meet Tinubu.

Wike rigging for Tinubu means he robbed someone else (Let's assume it is Obi).

If he stood for Obi, there would be no need to forge sheets and disrupt the process. The people would have done that neatly.

The Abuja case is just an example of what I am saying.

For every rigging, someone was shortchanged
That why it was even stupid for Wike to do it.

If I was Tinubu, I'll caution Wike as it is overzealousness taken to new heights.

What has what your opponent cooking in their strong hold gotto do with a city you have on lock?

Unless you a talking about your opponent manufacturing millions of votes far more than the number of accredited voters, which should even be impossible now. But as long as mutilation of result sheets and writing numbers on top the original one, you do not need to worry about that in your stronghold. This is what happend in Rivers state. ..and if wike didn't step in, it would have been ObI clearing it...
Why should you not be worried? We all know Wike rigged Rivers but what did the courts say?

Next time, you thing Obi supporters (or politician for that matter) will stand and watch it all happen without trying to do same elsewhere or stop it?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by patrickmuf(m): 9:43pm On Nov 21, 2023
You guys do not reason beyond your partisan inclination.

I purposefully made it clear that Obi would have and should have won Rivers because I know some of you can not hold a conversation or debate without letting your political inclination get in the way of your reasoning but see how you guys are trying to twist things.

From the point about Obi, you can easily deduce I was debating the idea that politicians do not rig their strongholds. I have seen one too many politicians do it before...Sometimes, it is even overzealous followers that perpetuate the act.

And when I say politicians, you should know I mean the greater majority but how you guys expect everything to spelt out here is beyond me.

So Lagos that was APC stronghold, and they lost it to LP nko?

Which financial and political muscle did Obi use to outrig Tinubu?

You are cherrypicking what suits your statement.

How come Sanwo-Olu didn't rig to put APC in front, since all politicians rig their strongholds?
I should have added that unless there's a disruptive force like that which Obi brought to the table. Even then, who is to say that if Lagos was going to be the decider they would've allowed Obi carry the day?

Then going by your statement, every single state rigged the election.

All parties rigged in the entire 37 states.

You don't believe even favourites rig to consolidate their position?

Cross River used to be PDP through and through but it didn't stop PDP from rigging...

For instance, we all know Katsina will vote the APC but it won't stop the APC from rigging to counter whatever PDP does elsewhere. It the same for the other KK states.

We are talking about the presidential election here. Be specific

So in 2019, Wike rigged for Atiku and shortchanged Buhari.

So, you believe in Rivers state, Buhari would have won Atiku in 2019, without Wike?

If you say Wike rigged for Tinubu, you are also saying someone won the election fair and square (that isn't Tinubu).

Then how can you come back again, and say he would have rigged for all of them?

So if Atiku won legitimately, Wike will still rig again for him?

Abi Rigging don get another meaning?

Obi would have and should have won Rivers.

Talking about rigging, I think politicians still rig in their strong holds to consolidate their winning because you don't know what your opponent is cooking elsewhere...

I don't need to be a resident of Lagos to talk about Lagos or any other state. When we talk about the progress of Nigeria, it means that all the states are making progress so, if we expend our time and energy on a few states while we pay little attention to others, the atrocities committed by politicians in those states will in no time become a problem for the country as a whole.

Doherty has dropped the gaunlet, I hope the LASG are pressured to reverse all of that anomaly of a budget. The lagos state governor should resign if we had a working society but we know it is almost impossible here so, the least we can do is to pressure the government to review that whole budget...

Politicians are wicked...

I am even mad that the Deputy governor of Ebonyi is running his office with 47 million. What the flying fck are they using 47 million for?

Then Abia Deputy is using 252 million.. Unto say Nestle and GSK dey produce their products inside?

Then LASG dey use 8 billion to upgrade website?

WTF is going on in this country?

Curse be the day anybody supported the removal of subsidy

I'm ready to partake in any Jihad for this.
I have always argued that Nigeria can confidently pay 100k minimum wage but people will always say Nigeria is broke. I refuse to accept that narrative. The cost of governance alone can go a long way not to talk of corruption in other sectors ranging from padding up contracts figures, ghost workers etc...

I am not a student of history, but I can see reason with Ibime that an adopted language doesn't necessarily mean the people are from there.

My reason is my experience in Lagos.

If you go into some parts of Iba, you will see a large concentration of Igbos. The ratio can be 3:1 sef. You can literally be speaking Igbo from Iyana school down to Churchpole, and you'll see people who can understand you. They even have an Igbo primary school there. Many streets there have Igbo names. Churches, Village Unions, blah blah blah are Igbo-like..

Now, unless someone nukes that place, there's no argument that Igbos would outpower the locals there in say 50 years.

Then imagine someone coming in 200 years to say Iba in Lagos are people from Anambra state.

It is very possible for foreigners to outpower the locals in everything. But that doesn't translate to that place being an offcut from the foreign land.

I'm sure this is also in other parts of Nigeria too.
Very true, if you go to a place in Calabar called Nasarawa or Boko Biri (Not sure I got the spelling right) you did swear they're the owners of the land because even the average Child of Efik descent born around these axis will most likely speak Hausa more fluently than Efik and they'll most times come across as Hausa because the prevailing culture affects the way they dress and behave.

You are making it seem like there are no structural problems and these were all fabricated. We know people who were denying that there were structural problems until their idolo Ronaldo co-signed that allegation.

What exactly do you want? That we should praise the new management and executives just for existing? We shouldn’t wait to see if they are actually good at their jobs?
Those who have risen to the defence of ETH have faulted the lack of structure and personnel and they even dropped names to go with it. They make it seem like it is the sole reason for the challenges we face.

Ratcliffe seems to have read from Chrsto and the worst writer I know of and is reportedly bringing in Blanc and Mitchell, names they have dropped here so, ones they're in and have a couple of transfer windows to bring in the right players and with the right mentality, no more excuses for the coach abi we will start changing DoF like we change and CEO every now and then?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by patrickmuf(m): 2:41pm On Nov 18, 2023
Every other match week we struggle to beat the weakest of teams in the league and when you complain about the performance Christo and his guys will be quick to point to the structural deficiency and lack of qualified personnel in these roles as a reason why we are struggling.

Now, we have Ratcliffe coming in with in with investment and the proposal to get club running as have been suggested here and elsewhere by the fans who heap all the blames on the management and what you start reading almost immediately is that it does not matter but rather performance on the pitch. While it comes across as a genuine take, you can't help but wonder why fans are already pessimistic of the changes even though it is what they have clamored for all along and more interesting, it's the names they bandied around that are rumored to be under consideration for the positions.

Can we all agree that the management have gotten it right if the rumors turns out true so we don't go back to blaming them when results on the pitch don't improve?
