When we mention structure people automatically assume we are defending ETH or a player.

How did lack of good structure affect ETH? :

A club with a good structure will not give full powers to sign players to a manager who has never had such powers before, especially one who was coming from a smaller club where he did not have such powers. They gave him that authority because they didn't have the nous to make the football decisions themselves.

A club with good structure will not allow the manager to waste their time for a whole transfer window, promising them that FDJ will sign for us. There are many failures but my number one reason for wanting ETH out is not tactics or anything like that. Its the transfers in and out of the squad which he had complete control over. Complete disaster.

For me, his failure in identifying talents and clearing out deadwoods is one of many.

I'm big on tactics and style of play, he has not improved us in that regard.

Also, his man management is poor, very poor.

It was well debated here. I remember that a couple of us were against the idea of replacing De Gea when it was obvious that we had pressing concerns in the team. People said with De Gea we will struggle building from the back but how have we fared since he left?

Every De Gea's mistake was blown out of proportion but how has Onana performed? Has he been any better?

We could have and should have invested the money we used to sign Onana on buying a CB or invest in other areas of the team.

I am waiting to see what the club will do this summer.

Come this summer, we need to sack ETH, I can not point at one player who has improved under his leadership. I am happy that things are taking shape at the management level, what is left is to get in all the right people and decide which way we want to head. I am tired of this approach where coaches come in with their methods and decide what players they want, it just hasn't worked.

Let the technical team decide what pattern of play they want the club to be associated with as LostMyZeal or someone else suggested and then we can get a manager whose methods aligns with that of the club. With this, the club can go about signing only players with the right profile, the ones that fit the style/pattern of play adopted. If the coach fails, the next coach comes in and doesn't have to do a squad revamp because the players are already suited to the style the club has adopted.

I can't wait to read the good news that ETH has been sacked. I'll gather all my friends and drink to that.
