It is rare for a mid table club to invest such amount and also to attract such calibre of players without paying them high. These guys were direct upgrade of their first team in addition to the likes of Willock, Saint-Maxim, Callum Wilson, Almiron etc.

So while it is clear the work Eddie Howe has done on the team, it will be cheap to say that a good transfer business did not contribute, which is the effect of Arab investment.

Guimaraes and Trippier are good players so is Isak however he is very inconsistent...I think they upped their mentality, they now approach games differently.

It’s possible you have not really followed Bruno Guimaraes career. He is a very good ball player.
If he was in our squad he would be the preferred option cos ETH’s number 1 aim is to play well and win games, and Guimaraes gives him a better chance of both compared to Eriksen.

We watch our players every game so it's easy to look outside and claim every other player out there is better...I am sure if we take a closer look at Guimaraes game we'd see obvious deficiencies...Funny enough, Fred is benching same Bruno in Brazil and even when I watched him against Cameroon, he didn't stand out. Brouno is an okay midfielder, one that is not particularly excellent in anything but someone here said Bruno does everything that Eriksen does...

Bruno will definitely bench Eriksen who is lightweight and lazy to play as a CM. Bruno offers everything Eriksen does in that central midfield role and more. Debatable but Isak is a better striker than Martial. If Martial was good enough we won't be in the market for a new top striker.

If you watch and see how much of a defensive liability Eriksen is you would agree.

Eriksen is a former CAM (never known for work rate or defensive solidity) who after heart surgery has been moved back to play the more physically demanding job of a CM.

On the ball he is good but off the ball he is physically weak, positionally unsure, aerially weak, and lacks stamina to put in a shift beyond the 60th minute.

If we continue playing him next to Casemiro into next season we won’t get more than 2 seasons out of Casemiro. Eriksen should be a stopgap until we get a peak level CM.

It's not about Bruno not being better suited but Ten Hag...He prefers the CM to be more of a ball player. You look at our set up and you wonder why we are not after midfielders that are sure to give you a rating of 7 in passing, defending and tackling...

Personally I will prefer Bruno alongside Eriksen but Ten Hag won't play Bruno ahead of Eriksen...

You even attested that a few of their players are quality and that one of them might start for United. Can you say that about Southampton’s players ?

James Ward Prowse might not start but he is better than any other option we have on the bench for that role.

Trippier, Isak, Botman and Bruno Guimares are not exactly world beaters...Bar Trippier, none of them will start for United though Isak has an outside chance...

I think they have raised their level thanks to their mentality that they're are now a top team.

I think he tried to do things to change it but it just didnt work. McTom and Garnacho were brought on to give us more control just after an hour but they didnt have the desired impact. Just goes to show the lack of quality on the bench.

I don't know why he didn't take Caemiro off for McTom, it was the right thing to do at that stage. McTom should have replace d Casemiro while Fred should have replaced Eriksen and Pellistri for Antony...Bruno out on the right was another bad move.

Most of them don’t have winning mentality.

The way Bruno and Eriksen were just doing fancy flicks and losing the ball at 1-0 was ridiculous.

The ultimate blame rests on the manager though. That shyte show in midfield throughout the 2nd half shouldn’t have been allowed to continue for that long.

I just don't know why the manager did nothing to correct the issues which were glaring. Olise was troubling us and their midfield gained impetus and began to press much higher up the pitch but we couldn't take advantage of the situation no thanks to Erikson and Bruno.

Another important is that we need to maintain same intensity for at least 70 mins in a game. It's crazy how we upped the ante when they equalized and should have gone on to win the game.

If we had Martial replacing Weghorst or in future have Weghorst coming in for Martial we would have fared or will fare better. Rashford couldn't hold onto the ball or do anything reasonable with it playing as a 9.

The importance of a player that can hold on to the ball when we are under pressure can not be overemphasized...

My God!!! You misunderstand my post and start reacting based on what you comprehended...

Arsenal are on the up and their team is made up of young exciting players so, expect them to get better in the coming year unless of course they sell their star players...Liverpool will be right up there once their injury issues are behind them while Chelsea are bound to bounce back thanks to their owners who are ever ready to break the bank and City will be City...

We have made tremendous progress but we need to strengthen the squad if we must keep pace with the usual suspects plus a resurgent Arsenal and a Chelsea team that will most likely get their act together with their injured playersreturning and their new acquisitions.

As far as this season goes, Odegaard has been right up there among the best AMF in the league.

If we beat Arsenal then we can legit begin to shoot for the stars...

Are we really up to the task or is it a case of Liverpool, Chelsea, City and Spurs not performing at optimum level? Let's not get carried away even as we appreciate the progress we have made. I remember a couple of seasons back when we finished second/third but honestly it was not because we were that good but rather a case of our rivals struggling. I'd love to see how we compete against the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea, City and Arsenal next season to really guage the level we have reached.

As for the talk about overhaul, we need to strenthen the team even more because at the moment, we still do not have a bench that strikes fear into any team so, yes Rangnick was right when he opined that the team needs to be overhauled. Overhaul doesn't necessarily mean we will replace the whole squad however, it depends on the nature of the team and in our case it had to do with Strengthening the core of the team across each area (Defence, Midfield and attack) as well as improving the bench. So far, we have improved the defense as well as midfield but in attack, Antony has not stepped up to the level you expect of a player that cost that much and in midfield, you feel we need another player in the mould of Eriksen or someone in between Eriksen and Casemiro like Neves to ensure there's no shortage of quality in any case of an injury or suspension.
