Bro, the team that played yesterday have not played together before so, you don't expect them to be fluid...It's not that hard to figure out that the play was going to ve disjointed but then, you jist want to drive an agenda that doesn't exist...

Fabrizio Romano: Alex Telles could leave Manchester United in the next weeks. Porto are not interested despite rumours, while Sevilla are among 2/3 clubs keeping tabs on Telles.

Deal depends on Manchester United to cover part of the salary. To be discussed soon.
Those clubs won't pay Telles what he earns at United so, it will be difficult for us to sell unless we sell for a ridiculously low fee or at best send him out on loan and take responsibility for half of his wages as is being muted here...

I don't really see eriksen starting for us sha, especially high intensity game because of lack of pressing from him.. and on the ball he can be bullied also.. let's see first.. man attempted passes that didn't go through, but I saw d Intent.. if Bruno made those passes.. we would have had 10 more pages on this thread

Viera for some reason prefers players who are strong and defensively inclined that's why Olise and Eze who is another very good player in the Palace rank don't play as much games...I rate Olise and Eze highly, with good coaching and good work rate, those two will go on to do big things...

So, because we are in the UEL all our star players should prolly head for the exit door...Juventus went down to Serie B but the likes of Nedved, Del Piero, Buffon didn't holdout for a move away, they stood by the club...

Will you defend Bruno, Shaw, Sancho and the likes if they decide to leave too? Imagine suggesting that we should extend his contract and then loan him to a UCL team...

Nitroggen seems to have convinced some people to absolve Joel and his brothers of some blame.

If those voices are not silenced quickly, they will impose another agenda on the club.
You are fond of misinterpreting people, you read a post, convince yourself of what it means and begin to argue based on your understanding...

I made a post in response to the debate that was going on between Illimit.able and nitr.ogen or someone else and in my post I made it clear that the fact says the Glazers have spent as much as our peers however they have failed in other areas especially as it regards putting in place a good team of football heads to manage the footballing side of things but you are here arguing what I don't understand...

I wonder when acknowledging facts became hailing the Glazers...I really don't know what you're arguing against to be honest.

Are you saying they haven't spent? If not, are you of the opinion that the structure in place is right? If not, why then are you misrepresenting my position and making it seem like I'm defending the Glazers?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by patrickmuf(m): 2:06pm On Jul 28, 2022
Leyqute:
Chelsea and City outspent Man Utd in Fergie’s last years. He played a major role in getting the Glazers into Man Utd. If he went against them publicly, it would affect him too.

Like I said, short memory.

Or maybe you were yet to start watching football at that time.

You’re still making my point for me.

When SAF and David Gill left at the same time, the structure left with them. A few years later, when we lost UCL money, the nonsense spending started- without any structure whatsoever.

Ed’s job was to make Man Utd make more money, not to help the club achieve football success. That’s what the Glazers hired him to do.

And till today, they still maintain that mentality of money first, football last.

Abi why are Utd legends kids doing at Manchester City’s football academy?
I ignored you for some time here because you just can't have a debate without throwing cheap shots...

As for your argument, Moyes replaced SAF and instead of chasing realistic target, he spent the whole summer chasing players who didn't want to coke or whose club were not willing to sell just like EtH is doing now...In a few years you guys will blame the Glazers for the potential mistake EtH is well on his way to making. The only difference is that we have at least got Malacia, Lisandro and Eriksen this time...

Even if I want to put your logic to test, we are out of the UCL why then are we not spending money anyhow? I guess you'll accept it's down to EtH who has his targets and is willing to wait for as long as the window is open...When things go south, don't blame the Glazers rather EtH...

As I said, the Glazers fault is not setting up a good structure which should go hand in hand with the money spent thus if you must blame the Glazers, blame them for not getting the right people to manage the football aspect of the club and not for lack of spending because the facts are there for all to see that we have spent just as much as our peers...

The spending was a part of it. People have short memories.

When the system was in place with Fergie and David Gill. They refused to spend money.

Fergie created lots of excuses for them and had to recall Scholes from retirement to plug the hole in midfield.

It was when the system was gone with SAF and David Gill and they started missing out on UCL money that they started throwing money at the problem. This way they’ll get UCL football and… you guessed it - more money.

If the Glazers could make more money without investing in player transfers, trust me, they will. After all, that’s what they were doing before SAF left.

Man Utd is a badly run club because of the Glazers greed and blindness to everything else apart from money.
Fergie was just too powerful for you to say the Glazers didn't release money to buy players. Fergie just didn't buy a midfielder for reasons best known to him and not because of lack of funds...

I maintain that even if we had spent £3bn on transfers, it'd have seen us pay mich more than we did for those we got and not necessarily translate to success on the pitch...It's one thing to spend and it's another thing to spend well...

The records show we are on par with the highest spenders so, you can't distort it however you can rightly infer that we didn't spend wisely as many here have said before...

The Glazers are more about commercial success so, whilst they'd point to their huge spending over the past 10 years, they're liable for not demanding for sporting result in the same time frame...Ed Woodward should have been fired long ago and that's where the Glazers take the blame and not for lack of spending...They jist did not put the right sporting structure in place like they did at City...

The question is not whether he is a DM or not, the question is "can he play DM?" The answer is yes...The first tike I saw him at Ajax in a UCL game, he played as a DM and was very good there it was only later I got to know he is a CB. He is also adept at playing LB...

Madrid have Alaba who can play CM, LB and CB based on need. Ancelotti has even come out to say in the absence of Mendy, Alaba will be used as a LB especially now they have Rudiger.

Let's get one thing clear, it's not the lack of spending that's the problem but the lack of a coordinated structure in place to ensure we get the right players for the right value...Even if we had spent £3bn in the last 10 years, it simply would have seen us pay £50m more for for the likes of Pogba, Maguire, Bruno etc...

The biggest problem is the management structure where we have too many square pegs in round holes and not necessarily the amount spent as we have kept pace with the rest of Europe in that aspect (Amount spent)...

As for the 2nd point. You might be disappointed. VDB is not who many of you think he is. I had this argument with the Kagawa here back in the day, VDB vs FDJ. VDB's hiding tendencies were there even in his Ajax days just that people didn't pay attention.

We have been linked with Dumfries since last season ended. ETH for some reason has obviously not been too impressed with either Laird or Hannibal in training. It might be Dumfries or some other relatively cheap option but i am convinced that Laird will be an adequate deputy in this ETH system if given the opportunity. The guy just needs to maintain his fitness and work hard in training. He and Greenwood were notoriously poor trainers.
I really don't know why he deploys Hannibal as a striker...I'd love to see the trio of Garner, Iqbal and Hannibal deputize for Fred, McTom and Bruno in the course of the season...

I just hope VDB regains his confidence and form to give us added options in midfield...

We have a very good coach in ETH. Let's see if the player recruitment will improve. For this season we still need a midfielder (hopefully FDJ) and a forward player (hopefully Antony). This is assuming Ronaldo stays. If he leaves we will need 2 forwards.

A good coach plus good player recruitment plus the talented youth midfielders being groomed should make us competitive. No chance of dethroning Man City while Pep is still there though. At least that's my opinion but i might be wrong.
How about RB? I am not sure Laird will be entrusted to deputize for Dalot...
