Man City's contingent? Their star man KDB has been struggling with injuries so, I don't see a player from City winning it...

Salah? If Liverpool win the EPL and do well in the UCL, he stands a strong chance...

Benzema? Like Salah, he also stands a strong chance as Madrid are all but guaranteed the La Liga trophy.

Mbappe? He won't win it off his Ligue 1 exploits but if PSG wins the UCL and he/Messi stars then they'd win it...

Also, next year is a world cup year and it will play a part in who ever emerges the best in the world...

In summary, away from those playing in the EPL and La Liga (Even the league is a mockery of itself with Barcelona and Atletico struggling), any other player in the other leagues will have to win the UCL and do very well in the world cup to stand a chance...

The level of consistency you need week-in-week-out an entire year to do this is very high. It is stupid to just chalk it off as a fluke because the achievement can not be replicated.

Don't mind them. If their logic held sway, then they'd be no need to talk about some records as we'd say it was a fluke.

Mahrez was one of the star player in that Leicester team that won the EPL. FYI, Leicester and Roma can't be played in the same bracket yet Mahrez won the EPL with Leicester, what did Salah win with Roma?
