Replace McFred with a Competent DM, move Pogba to CM, no need to protect defence, if Varane and Magwaya cannot defend then they have no business being in Man united. We can't replace McFred now so, what's the immediate solution?

McGinn and Ramsey doesn't have to carry an extra baggage of duds behind them. As Douglas Luiz was Superb, holding on to the ball, distributing well and not losing it under no pressure. And you forgot that Bruno created a record breaking chances yesterday but was spurned by Greenwood. So what do you term effectiveness?

Have you ever seen pogba helping shaw? He is not helping Mcfred, yet he couldn't help yesterday when Villa winger were obliterating Shaw upandan until he was put out of his misery.
Mind you i am not blaming Pogba for out lack of midfield control, we have seen him when he played with competent players like Herrera, Matic and Kante in France or Pirlo/Marchisio in Juve. All this player bashing is pointless and boring.

Ole is where most of the issues lie. Even the much maligned Fred that I have take plenty of shots at does not deserve the bashing.

Ultimately, Ole has not implemented a system that allows these players to function well as a team, which is why we struggle when we face well organised teams. The team is over reliant on individual brilliance. If match winners dont win you the game we have nothing.

We dont have a manager that will hide your weaknesses while enhancing your strengths. Only Ole seems to need world class players in every position to succeed.

That squad is good enough to seriously challenge for major trophies. No other manager in the league has a squad full of world class players but the best managers are making it work and hiding their weaknesses.

Well said, Ole takes majority of the blame but seeing folks who pride themselves in dragging some players become so defensive when their favourite is the subject is funny...

Blame your coach for playing Pogba on the left. Bruno plays ahead of McFred so, it's only normal for people to ask that he drops a bit deep to help coordinate the play as those two are bad on the ball and also take calculated risk...


Fabregas and Ozil were assist masters but they didn't have to lose the ball as much as Bruno does to make an assist...

I am not in support of Pogba playing on the wings, you must have seen me critique Ole for that. I am not not a fan of McFred...Pogba should be play as a LCM in a midfield 3 alongside Fred/McTom/Matic and VDB but Ole is clueless...We have failed to stretch the play because we have Pogb a out wide rather than a natural winger. It must have worked against Leeds as they leave a lot of space and Bielsa is too stubborn to change tactics but subsequently teams have found us out...

I have seen people criticizing Messi and Ronaldo even though they have both been fantastic for more than a decade but Bruno that is nowhere near their level is deemed the perfect footballer by his fan boys...

Pogba has been dragged time and time again here...I have even suggested that Ole benches him and play VDB if he is not going to sign a new deal...


Left for me, I will play Fred as the DM with Pogba and VDB ahead of him while Bruno plays as the AM behind Ronaldo and Greenwood but since Ole is hell bent on McFred, Bruno has to support them.

If Pogba keeps leaving his position (LW) to the middle, we will be too narrow and I think lately teams have noticed that hence are taking advantage of Pogba out wide...

Ole takes the blame in all of this to be honest but the players too have to up their game, it's the best we can hope for because Ole will never improve.

Ole keeps playing McFred even at the expense of our best midfielder, Pogba and VDB who offers more...As longer as Ole is manager we will keep seeing McFred so, what do you suggest? We continue with the way we have been playing or find a way to mitigate the effect of playing the evil twins?

I have criticized Bruno here before wanting him to cut out some of his lapses BUT like i said yesterday, this weekend's game is NOT the time to criticize Bruno. He was our best player on the day. He created the most chances in a single EPL game in 3 years.

That is the first thing. Wrong person, Wrong time. Bruno's day might come but it is not now. There are multiple people to be dragged over yesterday's game first.

Secondly when one starts hearing things like he should stop stat padding then one wonders if people know what stat padding means. There are things to criticize Bruno about, i don't think stat padding is one of them.

Definitely, you didn't read me say he is stat padding, he is a very good attacking midfielder one who will excel if he is focused solely on his job but at the moment, he needs to drop deep no thanks to McFred (Ole actually)...I have read some takes on Bruno which isn't correct but then you too have to acknowledge that some takes here is banter-driven...

Bruno with a solid base will be awesome but at the moment, he and the team doesn't have that so your earlier take on him is still valid...

We all know Ole has signed a pact with the devil to play 4 2 3 1 every other match day which means McFred must start even if it means Pogba has to play as a CB...Ole takes the blame for his ineptitude but then, since we know he knows nothing but 4 2 3 1, is it important that certain players adjust their game to make things easier for the rest of the team.
