Is 3-4-3 no longer a formation centred on improving and covering each player's weakness.. lol now it's because of jorginhowe are playing 3-4-3
I noticed most people here are of herd mentality.. when one player is targeted everyone becomes biased around him. Even when they have different opinions on their own.. What is your problem? Should we also you say have herd mentality for following others who support Jorginho? Can't some of you acknowledge people's right to different opinions rather than tag it what it's not? The opinion is more or less split yet instead of stating your point as per why you support Jorginho, you choose to throw cheap shots around... |

- Rob Dawson [ESPN] Mbappe will likely join Madrid, Haaland might end up at Bayern or they'll be a serious bidding war for his signature... Kane might end up at Spurs before this window shutdown... Martinez? Is he prolific enough? |

BlueAngel444: did you watch the euros or are rating this players based on football manager ad. There's a reason Jorginho made the XI and not Barella, won't say much on Verrati who Tuchel stopped playing as a DM at his time in PSG opting for Manquinhos.
It's high time you farts stop calming stubborn and having more sense than people who watch them play in the field week in week out and voted. Barella that would leave his midfield work many times for Jorginho When you learn to chat like a rational human, you'll get a deserved response... |

swiz123: Of course he has. Make no mistake, he is still slow and can't keep up with faster players. But the improvement came in areas of his positional awareness, discipline and passing.
Ibime is a confused human being. All his theories are too flawed. If Chelsea system helped him, why wasn't he exposed at Italy. He is clinging desparately at Italy vs Spain match as a lifeline. My unbiased self told him for free why that game was that way but his biased self chose to believe that only Jorginho was at fault. When Italy does well, it is Varrati, Barella, Chiesa or even Donarumma. When they play badly, it's only Jorginho. To even think he was lecturing me about scattergun criticism.
If TT's approach is the reason for his improvement, couldn't Lampard's approach be the reason for the worst days of his life. Remember, Lampard paired him at times with Mount and Havertz as double 8 when Kante was injured. Sometimes Mount and Kovacic. Mount hardly maintains his position and I remember Peter Drury saying that Mount plays so high up the pitch leaving his position exposed for runners during counters. Let's not talk about Kovacic lack of positional awareness or low response. TT brought the right approach and everyone is breathing fresh air. After all, a coach's responsibility is to maximum his player's strength and hide their weaknesses
So my brother, Jorginho as a player has improved. His performance tells the tale. Jorginho played under Sarri and as far as my memory serves me, a lot of folks here were very critical of him...He struggled with Sarri and Lampard and only looked better because Tuchel had to parked bodies behind to cover for any escorts job... Talkjng about his passes, he has always been good with passes from his Napoli days, nothing changed... Positional improvement? No, he has not improved any bit but you'll hardly notice as they're a lot of players covering incase of any slip up...You'd notice that it's only after a goal is scored that most folks delve into analysis of the events leading to the goal, I'd urge you to pay close attention to Jorginho when he is not recycling possession (I mean his defensive action) and you'd see that he still struggles to keep up with attacks but due to the sheer numbers behind him, in most cases than not, they manage to stop the attack... |

swiz123: Every player can be criticized; even more after a painful defeat of which he failed to do his job. Jorginho had had two bad seasons prior to the last one. That's enough for any reasonable analyst to criticize him. However, I am not a sentimental human being who cling on to my opinion about someone even if they had become absurd. You are still of the opinion that Jorginho is useless and we can't compete with him even during his best moments as a footballer. You are afraid of what people would say if you had a change of opinion... Don't be a coward
Situations vary from time to time and so should one's opinion. Jorginho stood above criticism he was subjected to, showed character and proved everyone including myself wrong. For that, he has earned my praise. If that is what L means, then I wholely accept it. If all Chelsea players I have criticized can prove me wrong overtime, that would make me happy. Because at the end of the day, I am a Chelsea fan who wants the best for the club He has always maintained that the current Chelsea system mask the flaws of Jorginho, the old Jorginho is still there just that with the numbers you guys have behind the ball, it's hardly noticeable... By the way, after your unbiased analysis, has Jorginho improved or the system is to thank for his supposed marked improvement? |

If Tuchel trust Jorginho, he should switch to 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1...At the moment Chelsea plays 5 defenders and 2 holding midfielders plus Mount who is renowned for his hardwork...If you don't think 3 CBs, 2 wingers and another DM/B2B midfielder beside Jorginho helps covers his weakness then it's obvious you just started watching Chelsea... |

olabode89: Let him fail first!
Also what's the expectation for the season? What's defined as failure? The disrespect towards Ole is uncalled for and frustrating. The same man have thrashed them so called new age managers like Pep, Nagglesmann, Tuchel, etc on numerous occasions and he still gets no respect from fans, journalists and pundits.
The age of CMs creating chances or making key passes is dying out, creativity is slowly becoming a trait for fullbacks, wing backs and forwards. I get your points though, I just wish Ole gets more respect and support from fans on this thread. Nobody is disrespecting Ole. If you have followed the discussions here overtime, you'd have come across those who in defence of Ole think the squad is not good enough to win the EPL or top competitions, whilst some of us have always maintained that we have a squad good enough to do so. Those who think the squad is lacking in key positions in their submissions specifically highlighted the CB, RWF and DM position positing that until we get competent replacement for the players currently manning those positions we will continue to flatter to deceive. I and others who think Ole is not good enough agree that we desperately need a DM that's why we are quick to point it out now that Ole has himself come out to say he is okay with the sqaud (Although he says the same every other season) and any further addition is a bonus. It will be inexcusable if Ole fails to win at least one of the EPL, UCL or FA Cup whilst qualifying for the UCL...I am happy you have acknowledged the depth of the squad, we are all on the same page...If Ole fails, he should be booted out...At least the CB and RWF position has been fixed and fixed for good, if he says McTominay, Fred and Matic are enough, time will tell... |

kokaneprodigy: Nothing personal, the fact remains Arteta priorities defence last season and still doing same before our eyes.
It’s simple Pareto analysis,
If I run a pure water factory and I’m faced with 3 problems at the moment.
1; my delivery truck is totally down and needs replacement 2; my generator is no longer serviceable and in Naija U can’t rely on NEPA. 3; my pure water line is running at 60% efficiency instead of 90% as designed. Needs some upgrades to be back at 90%.
I have limited resources which would I solve first?. You simply run a cause effect analysis to know which of the 3 if solved has the biggest positive impact on the business.
If I spend on delivery truck and there’s no power what will it deliver? If I spend on upgrading the plant to 90% how will it run if Nepa takes light.
The best decision in my current situation is to buy the generator, I can still lease a truck on a pay as you go basis, the line will run at 60% efficiency. With that I can still raise revenue to fix other issues at a later time. At least the factory won’t be grounded.
The club as business goofed with that decision and the results are there to prove it. instead of learning from their mistake we are back to doing same thing expecting different result.
Keep buying more CBs and see if we won’t be relegated, even championship Your army of CBs will not win it. I don't think any Arsenal here supports the purchase of Ben White from the post I have read here unless I have missed something but for Gabriel, I totally understand his purchase last season that's why I was forced to reply your comment after noticing your were still having a go at a section of the fan base that doesn't exist...
