List SAF’s best seasons, even when he was deemed to be doing good and let’s see how many of those seasons he got into 3 semi finals.

SAF’s best season was when he won the treble. 2 finals in cup competitions plus the league. He was eliminated in R5 in the Carabao cup. Never thought he’d make it but he did.

Fergie’s best sides are know for competing on all fronts. Getting to semi finals and finals before being eliminated in at least 2 cup competitions.

This is the first time we are having a squad and manager replicating anything remote to that. Someone got into 3 semis, something none of the previous managers post Fergie have managed to do, not even including your lord and savior Jose Mourinho, and the reaction to this is bitterness and tears.

This is not in defense of Ole- winning is what actually matters, it is just to make you realize how unrealistic you lot have been.

The things I read here is really shocking...Fa Cup Semi, Caraboa Cup and UEL Semi is now good enough or comparable to that of seasons where we won the League plus at least cup competition?

United came a long way to become the juggernaut they have now become. SAF has made all the sacrifices and we shouldn’t ever be struggling for almost 10 years to win a league title.

SAF took us to a position where we won 13 league titles in 20 years. Why have we suddenly gone under again like a bottom club trying to reach the top? Will Bayern, Barcelona, Real Madrid, PSG go 8 years without a league title?

If not, why do you accept it as a United fan?

You can imagine someone asking me to list how many semi finals Fergie bottled in a bid to defend Ole.

It's similar to a scenario where Nigerian Government make reference to the ages developed countries in a bid to defend the under development of Nigeria when in all honesty those guys have done all the hard work in advancing technology and systems for which all you have to do is use your resources to get them in your country...

SAF labored for years for us to be the big club we are, one with the resources to break records in the transfer market to get the best players yet someone wants to compare his shortcomings with Ole.

Seeing how good SAF was, one can only imagine what he would have achieved if he joined United at a point where they were one of the biggest team in the world, one with huge financial resources to buy players for mouth-watering fees.

In few years time, people will come here and say Ole challenged for the title when it was obvious that Manchester City will win it as early as February...The people now saying we challenged for the title are the same set of people who said we were not good enough to challenge City when some of us thought otherwise especially seeing how our rivals were struggling just so that they'd have an excuse to defend Ole when we fail but seeing how the season has panned out, they want to sneak in the narrative that we challenged City...

Talking about the last 9 years, you'd be forgiven for thinking only City won the league in that time frame and with 100 pts every season but it was not the case, in that same period, Leicester City were crowned champions, Chelsea won the league twice, Liverpool also won it (once). Leicester didn't out spend us and off my head, I'm sure Chelsea and Liverpool haven't out spent us with a great margin but it's here you'll read all manner of excuses, excuses that didn't suffice when Moyes, Van Gaal and Mourinho were with us...

Close to a decade now, we've managed 2nd once in the EPL, if Ole manages and finishes 2nd this term, it'll only be a 2nd time in close to ten yrs.

What of the CL, we managed 2 QF appearances, one under Moyes and one under Ole. We never smell semis close to a decade now.

What of domestic cups, we managed 1FA cup and 1 Carabao Cup respectively in over 8yrs. How many times have we made the semis in the last 8yrs in them?

Kudos to Mourinho for winning Europa buts that our biggest trophy since Fergie retired.

But Ole is the beginning and the ending of our problems as a club.

In these same period, Leicester City were crowned champions, Chelsea too and even Liverpool...We have outspebt or have spent on par with Liverpool but we should reduce the expectation on the team just so Ole can be shielded from criticism...

In April, Mourinho said he would prioritize Turopa league over top 4. We’d just beaten Burnley 2-0 and There was still enough games to get into top 4.

But results hadn’t been good and we had upcoming games against City, Arsenal and Tottenham (all which he lost, cept for draw vs City) so he decided to prioritize Yuropa.

We were never on course for a top 4 finish. Mou took a bet on the easiest route based on the current situation and he was lucky enough to clinch the Yuropa. Don’t make it seem as if he prioritized a trophy and let go of top 4. Top 4 wasn’t within his grasp in the first place.

He noted that they were still enough games to make top 4 why is true but Mou prioritized the UEL, everything was carefully plotted and he achieved his aim. If we didn't have the UEL route, he would have fought for top 4 and I am quite sure the probability of us making it would have been higher...

And no, it doesn’t mean that the expectation next season is a semi final finish. And it definitely doesn’t mean that it will be an almost- as you stated.

Which one is yeye trophies? When they list trophies won by clubs, do they exclude the community shield, Caraboa Cup, FA Cup and UEL? It may not be as prestigious (The FA Cup is though) but certainly it's a trophy...

As I replied handele.x, this is Manchester United, we hold our coaches to high standards. Semi final appearances is nothing to be proud of and it doesn't in any way placate the fans. Nothing beats winning trophies...
