Being a member alone makes the team more money than that of the UCL winner. Finishing 4th or 10th doesn’t matter, as minimum pay is higher than maximum UCL pay.

The Glazers were initially bothered about the club losing out on UCL football because of the financial perks that come with it.

Now, without effort, those perks and even more are guaranteed. Winning the super league becomes more of a bragging rights thing.

Are you saying all the teams that participate will earn the same amount?

From information I have perused through, clubs will get a certain amount for participating in the SL and the winner will definitely get an additional cash which will double or close to triple that which the UCL offers presently...What I am saying is that the extra 200-300m that comes with winning the trophy is worth fighting for unless you tell me that all the participating team will earn the same amount...

Why? The premier league will not be able to command that money anymore. Those SuperLeague teams will no longer field their best players in domestic matches. They'll treat it like the Carabao cup because who would want to pay for a watered down product?

I'm talking about the SL and not domestic leagues.

I think the winners of the SL will get at least twice or thrice what the UCL winner gets now away from their participating bonus thus I don't see the Glazers keeping a coach that won't get them the trophy that comes with some mouth watering cash.

With a guaranteed position in the money spinning Super League the Glazers will never be interested in firing Amaka. There is no incentive to win the EPL title when winning it or making Top 4 is no longer a prerequisite for making the Champions League.

Whether United comes 2nd or comes 12th the money from the Super League is guaranteed. No matter how badly Amaka performs, at the end of the season the Glazers are sure of making more money next season.............which is all they want.

This Super League actually guarantees Amaka a long and secure tenure at Old Trafford.

But they'll be more incentive for the team winning it. Are you saying that extra £200 - £250m isn't enough to get clubs scrambling to win it?

It'll only take a huge slump for any team to finish above the 4 teams I have mentioned...Money counts for something...

I do...I follow the Italian, Spanish, German, French, Dutch and Portuguese league. I may not watch most of the games but I make sure to check their results and table.
