Tottenham might just pay the price for failing to strengthen their squad. And selling Dembele with Sissoko out injured has got to be one of the most stupid decisions I have seen by a board in a long while.

I'm not even impressed with Martial pressing. He will need to do better.
I have noticed a marked improvement in his pressing but as you said, he needs to do better.

with all due respect I think ole ole is lucky in terms team line up for him.
No doubt but we have in the past dropped points against Leicester, lost to Brighton, lost to Spurs etc. Also, away from the results, our performance have greatly improved.

Who else notice when it 65min upward our team doesn't press well anymore, this could make us loose point with more tactical and stubborn team.

It almost cost us the game against Tot, thanks to de gea who saved us cool.

Maybe it MOU effect on the team, United hasn't be playing high pressing game all week suddenly changes occurr, I just hope they adapt as soon as possible.
Our pressing starts from the front and from our games thus far, only Rashford can sustain the energy required for high pressing for 90mins, Martial and Lingard will more or less be reduced to walking pace from 70 mins and of their replacements, only Sanchez can press as he had learnt that from Barca and Arsenal but he isn't yet 100% fit and Lukaku and Mata are not very pacy (Lukaku used to be but he isn't in peak condition)...
In midfield, we have a beast in Fred who has got all the energy but he is still adapting to the English game thus we are yet to see more of him.
I will like for the board to at least support the work Solskjaer is doing by signing 2 players (LCB & RWF) to boost our chances of a top 4 finish.

An Arsenal win was and is the best result, we are 3 points off 4th place and with Tottenham suffering from a bit of injury crises, top 3 might just be within reach.
Our next 3 EPL games is against Burnley, Leicester and Fulham, 12 points is possible.

LoooL.

If I were to comment about Lingard I’d say it’s a bit still early to bench him. However he should be benched too if he continues to underperform. The only thing he offers when he isn’t scoring or assisting is his work ethic and pressing.

But even that wasn’t there today. He still offered more in the pst games than Martial has.
I'd rather have Lingard on the bench, he contributes next to nothing.

Our problem is Chelsea not Arsenal, so an Arsenal win will be just fine...The chances of Arsenal dropping points any day is higher than that of Chelsea that's why I am all for an Arsenal win.

Sanchez can play Eriksen's position in your formation.
The Sanchez in Arsenal? Yes...I hope he rediscovers his best form as it will be a thing of joy watching him play behind Martial and Rashford.

Son wey people come dey make noise about no see anything play yesterday. Tho baba wan kill Young with dribbles sha. Herrera had to drop deep to assist Young whenever Son was on the ball.

Alli & Kane were their only forwards that looked threatening.
The marking on Son is enough to tell you how much of a threat the coach and our players thought he was, Herrera was almost always close to Young whenever he came up against Son.

Can you show this formation?

There are quality RWs, just that we have moronic scouts. Dembele, Thauvin, Sancho, Douglas Costa are some of the options.
I am sure there are more out there but i am too busy doing my own job to find out, if only our scouts did theirs.
..................................... De Gea......................................
Young/Dalot (An Ultra attacking wing back) Lindelof - CB (Koulibaly) - Shaw.......
............Herrera................ Matic............ Pogba.............
........................................Erikson....................................
.............................Rashford........ Martial.......................
Pogba can easily double up with Erikson as LAM.
Thauvin is light weight and he has not proven himself enough, we all saw him at Newcastle.
Dembele won't be leaving Barca anytime soon, Sancho and Costa are the ones we can get easily but I have not seen enough of Sancho and Costa can be very frustrating at times. All in all, depending on the formation Solskjaer chooses, the scout should do their jobs.

No it is not.

We need someone on the right side that can go 1v1 against defenders and run at them WITH quality.
We don't play the same system as Spurs. Almost all their width comes from their full backs.

If we buy Eriksen and play him on the right it will be another Mata, Mikki clogging up the central areas and reducing space for Pogba to operate.

We need a real wing-forward not an AM masquerading as a wide man.
I am looking at a team where Martial and Rashford are forwards with Pogba and Erikson behind them. For the width, I am trusting the fullbacks with that responsibility. They're not many quality RW around.

Good question.
Answer is that he won't. He is not going to displace Pogba, he can't be one of the 2 CM/DM behind Pogba, and he is not a winger/wingforward.
It will be another waste of money, but then again that is our way.
That Lingard's position/role is begging for an Erikson...
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by patrickmuf(m): 8:28pm On Jan 13, 2019
I remember when some folks thought Mc Tominay was better...Herrera is just so important in that midfield, he has a calm head and keeps things simple.
De Gea was absolutely on beast mode.

I am most disappointed in Lingard, in the first half, he had the chance to play a well weighted pass to Martial but he over hit it and sent Martial wide.
On another occasion, we were on a counter, Martial was with the ball but his run was so poor that Rashford had to come across and make the exact move I expected from Lingard.
We need Sanchez back on form and in the first team, no disrespect to Lingard.

Make una take it easy na.

What to watch out for is how OGS sets up today and how his tactics are executed by the players and if it’s sound enough.

It’s too early to be heaping pressure on a caretaker manager.
A caretaker that wants to become landlords should be willing collect the rents and also fix the house when broken...OGS has not hidden his desire to get the job thus we should not lower our expectations, if he wants the job, he has to stand up and be counted when he is up against the best.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by patrickmuf(m): 10:46am On Jan 12, 2019
It depends on the team and the preference of the coach in question.
In a team like Chelsea where the front 3 don't score often, I'll take Lampard over Iniesta every day and all day but in a team like Barca and Madrid where the front 3 are lethal and can shoulder the goal scoring burden of the team, I'd opt for Iniesta who is more at ease with the ball at his feet gliding through challenges and releasing the attackers to do damage.
The argument here is non existent but guys just want to argue.
