True. Hopefully, Chelsea and Arsenal go help us drop points too cheesy
At this point, it's a case of do your bid and watch how things unfold, if we keep winning, our chances are high.
We need to make light work of Reading and go all out to eat Spurs as a win at Wembley will see other teams approach games against us like Newcastle did yesterday...That fear factor is priceless, it means you win games before taking to the field of play.

I'm sure getting top 4 was not really part of the target when OGS was given the job.
It was probably to salvage the season and get the team playing good football again while leaving the negative tactics of Mourinho behind.

2 weeks and 4 straight wins and 11 points has reduced to 6. How we play against Spurs will determine if that possibility has a chance of becoming a reality
After Spurs, we play Brighton, Burnley, Leicester and Fulham so regardless of our result vs Spurs, we still have a potential 12 points staring us in the face.
That's why I said if we beat Spurs, we have to start dreaming.

I think Sanchez is done playing as a LWF, he looked very good playing through the middle...
We can try him out there behind Martial and Rashford against Spurs or start Lingard.

If I remember vividly, 8t was the PDP in 2015 that accused INEC of being a biased umpire the the smart card readers failed especially the issue with GEJ, you lots clamored for the use of incident forms then and INEC obliged, why then are you lots against it now?

Imagine if the card readers fails in Enugu or Rivers, you'd hear people say is a systematic ploy to disenfranchise the voters there. Abeg incidence form is very much needed at this point.

To think that you guys were already accusing INEC of conniving with the APC when the data of PVC collection was released...Una just dey find who to blame for the impending defeat.

Yeah Rash has a lot to learn. I believe OGS knows this and his working on it. He finished that goal calmly yesterday, but he has been known to rush it recently. So that's an improvement.

We need that Spurs win and we will get it, fvck spurs
If we beat Spurs then surely, we have to start thinking top 3...
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by patrickmuf(m): 10:19am On Jan 03, 2019
That Shaw and Valencia weren't adventurous yesterday might just be a tactical move to prevent crosses from coming in...We all know that if Rondon had the supplies coming in, he would have definitely scored, that guy is a beast of a CF.
NB: I am not holding brief for Valencia but let's also consider he has been out for long... A new contract? Hell naw!

On Martial, I hope he improves his off the ball runs, he always wants the ball to be played to feet and that makes it easy for the full backs playing against him. In the first half yesterday, Mata lofted a beautiful pass which he was supposed to run into but he didn't read it because he wanted the ball to feet. If he improves his runs, he will become more dangerous and will definitely score more.

they were begging Valencia to push up at some point today.
He seemed confused af.
Didn't know when to push or fall and was ultimately in no mans land on several occasions.

I don't know if it's lack of match fitness or sharpness or he is just completely and totally finished.. Whatever it is, I hope he never starts for us again, especially when Mata is on the pitch
Dude still thinks it's Mourinho, he'll get over it, hopefully he does. We need all our players firing before the UCL restarts.

Valencia is DONE. The guy is 33 and has lost the extra bit of acceleration that made him serviceable.
When a player with low technical ability and dependent on speed declines they become useless.
I am not saying he should be renewed, na small respect I want make we show am as captain.
If Dalot is not available, let's see him against Reading.

My problem. With the spurs game and even PSG is our defence. We need to spend very big on a CB before the January Window end. We may concede very useless goals im tight game
The question is which CB can we get that is not cup (UCL) tied?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by patrickmuf(m): 11:21pm On Jan 02, 2019
Valencia obviously has not gotten the memo yet, he thinks it's still Mourinho, his attacking play was zero.
He'll definitely improve as he was one of the victims of Mourinho's ultra defensive approach to games.

Jones is still Jones, always that one nervy moment with him in the starting 11.

Rashford was kind of annoying today, he found himself in good positions but made the wrong decision often, credit to him, he kept going.

Lukaku was hungry and scored a typical poachers goal, Sanchez was rusty but with time, he'll come good.

Biggest credit has to go to Ole not just for his subs but his tactical set up, we managed to limit the crosses from the wings without being overly defensive (Mourinho, take note)...

Unto the next, Spurs it is at Wembley...The first real test but I am optimistic of our chances. Glory Glory Manchester United

It's not enough to say Mata and Valencia have not done well, we are simply focused on attacking through the left wing. I did love to see Herrera a lot more forward and we definitely need to quicken things up.

But why would PSG want to let him go for free for that matter if he is so talented. Could it be his off the field antics and mama?
They're not letting him go, he has refused to sign an extension...I think he is not very pleased with the way he and other academy graduates are treated compared to big money signings, in terms of weekly wages, and respect they are getting from the club.

How was Mikitaryan a proven mediocre or Kagawa? How was Ozil able to cope with the physicality?
How was Gundogan injury prone but not Gotze?
How was Sokratis just there but not Hummels?
Yes the Bundesliga is weak you can ask KdB who has been EPL top assister 2 seasons in a row, Sane Kompany and co. Or Aubameyang sitting on top of the scorers chart
Mkhitaryan failed at Manchester United, he is failing at Arsenal...
Hummels was and is heads and shoulders better than Sokratis will ever be.
Goetze even before his injury was not getting a look in.

KDB was sent to Germany to develop and once he was ready, an EPL team came back for him, his case is like that of Christensen except that KDB didn't return to Chelsea...Bundesliga is EPL feeder league.

For every Kompany, we have a Sokratis who is always under anointing...
Sane can't be compared to Mkhi who has failed so far or is it Ozil who I has more of a La liga influence in his style than German?
Kagawa came and left, Mkhi will be chased out soon.
Kompany was all over the play until he came here and they looked at the size of his head and told him to kill the dream of wanting to be a midfielder...

Says who? Was Torres deal to Chelsea not a scam? Did it mean that he didn't deliver in Liverpool?

A scam is a player bought and didn't deliver, Just like a scam if you buy a Toyota for 35M and it didn't work for more than 6months thus you didn't get value for your money worth

Were Kagawa and Miki not important players at Dortmund, How come they were offloaded in 2 season at Man utd

Where was this concern of weakening when you were buying Kagawa and Miki? or Sokratis Aubameyang Gundogan and Sahin
Only Auba is good enough to be considered in that bracket. Gundogan was injury prone, Sokratis was just there, Sahin flattered to deceive, Mhki is a proven mediocre, Kagawa is good but not good enough for the physicality of the EPL... We are arriving at something, does it mean the Bundesliga is a weak?

Pulisic has been mediocre this season and with the coming of Sancho he has been sitting more on the bench

Definitely, Chelsea didn't spend 60M because of his football potentials alone, about half of that price will be for his marketing potentials, If Pulisic was playing for Croatia the country of his ancestors you will be paying below 20M for him

Your games are surely going to get a priority on American TV and more sponsors You will surely recoup your investment especially if he hits the ground running

Don't forget this is still a 20yr old who needs to develop physically and mentally

It's difficult to predict the peak for a 20yr old because at that age Marko Marin, Iker Munain, SWP looked like world beaters

Now you will get all American commentators like Alexi Lalas, Maurice Edu, etc becoming Chelsea groupies
Bench warmer thus Chelsea didn't weaken Dortmund like you claimed. Now compare this to Goetze, Lewa, Hummels who were starters and the pillars of the team before Bayern came calling.
NB: Not ready for back and forth, point made and I'm out unless your reply has no trace of Amala.

If this dude (rabiot ) good as una they talk about am. How come he didn't make the French team for the WC?

A right winger (who can dribble, cross and pass very well) would be alright for me.
Who that players is, I don't know.
If France didn't win the WC, the coach would've been the most hated person in France, his selection for the WC raised many questions, the prominent was why Rabiot was not on the team, in fact, he was to be in the standby team but the guy was so pissed that he rejected the chance.
It's the same coach that opted for Gignac at the Euros and in the World cup, took Giroud over Lacazette. So his preferences counts for nothing.
If our front 3 keeps interchanging positions like OGS is trying to have us play, then we wouldn't necessarily need an express RW.
However, we need a midfielder and a CB (priority), not because our present crop of CBs cannot do a job but they're mostly sick bays...

Yes, but he a lot more than flying tackles, his game is built around interceptions, ball recycling etc He uses more of his physical strength to shove attackers aside and win back possession.

To be honest, I have been enjoying watching Matic on the ball. He is always looking to pick a forward pass, especially the harder ones. Has an eye for through passes. We need somebody like that as the holding MF. I like Ndidi without the ball, up and about. But what happens when we're in possession which we expect to be more than our opponents? I need to watch more of him to see if it's those backward, side way passes he attempts at Leicester.
My concern, when he plays in a team that keeps the ball often, what then happens? Another Kante situation?

How you pay so much for Pulisic when you can tempt Sancho to come back home is beyond me. To think that Dortmund didn't put up any fight to keep him self.
They threw him a t Liverpool and Arsenal, they didn't move probably cos of the price but Chelsea aka Maga fc must fall.

What we need right now is Ndidi, a right winger and a defender. Unless Rabiot is a defensive midfielder now
Football is gradually moving past an Ndidi kind of DM, his passing is suspect to me.
With the way we have been playing, pressing from the front, we really don't need a DM whose game is centered on tackling (Although Ndidi is improving in interceptions), I rather have a player like Rabiot just behind Pogba and Fred/Pereira/Gomes than Ndidi. Rabiot is adept at recycling possession like Thiago Motta and is confident in possession like Matic albeit faster and can shoot from range.
