raumdeuter: In that year Lucio wasnt the best Defender in Europe, rather Ballack was the best midfielder in Europe. Of the entire Leverkusen team only Ballack was world class and he showed it at the world cup
Brazil won the world cup courtesy of their offense not because of Lucio or Roque Junior. While Ronaldo and Rivaldo were delivering the world cup Lucio was dashing Michaeol Owen awoof goal Is the argument now about who was the best midfielder or who "beasted a final" or dragged his team to the final like Kahn? |

raumdeuter: There was nothing good about most of those players. What happened to Basturks career anywhere else he played or Neuville or Ramelow. These players were very mediocre. I watched them and followed the entire season. Only Ballack was world class among those players. Just going to google the Leverkusens players names isnt enough you have to watch their games
The only guys who were decent were Lucio Ze-Roberto. None was on the level of Ballack Oh please, I followed that Bayer team for that season, Lucio was already a rock, Ze Roberto was electric so stop down playing their relevance...Lucio went on to win the world cup and UCL something Ballack never managed...He had this badluck around him. |

raumdeuter: You have been struggling to make sense for several weeks now and its becoming a major issue after your recent ogogoro consumption
Is Ronaldos contribution to Madrid winning the CL the same as Varane or Isco? Varane and Isco also started the final. There were better players in the Milan team than gattuso while Ballack was the best Leverkusen and German player who got to the final That Leverkusen team had Yildray Basturk, Ze Roberto, Oliver Neuville, Lucio, Ramelow etc Those guys were very good. Basturk in particular was like Iniesta very sublime on the ball, stop discrediting other world class players to win an argument. |

CapitalCee: Lindelof is obviously not a bad player, I am not making any excuse for him, it's reality. if a youngster like him can boss the league, that's to tell you the level. you also only pointed few examples to me. every league can produce good players. after all Iwuanyanwu national of Nigerian league produce Kanu Nwankwo who won the UCL, FA cup, EPL and Copa Italia and also won the African footballer of the year, that doesn't make the Nigerian league good. so if Obaje of Ifeanyi Uba FC is scoring for fun in the league, I said after all its Nigerian league, then you will reply me that it's the same league that produced Kanu. the truth is Marcus Rojo did well in Sporting yes. but the league is shit, irrespective of who it produced. may be we can go and be buying players from Red bull Salzburg because they produced Mane. A league that produced Ronaldo, Nani, Pepe, Carvalho, Contrao, Deco, Bosingwa, Alex Sandro, Falcao and Co cannot be useless...Not the best but definitely not useless... |

CapitalCee: polish league produce lewandowski, Austrian league produced Mane. Scottish league produce VVD, Ibrahimovic was produced from malmo, Suarez came from Ajax, there are few exceptions, but that doesn't make the league good. you can't compare la liga with Portuguese league. Lindelof was bosing the league before he came to united. Aspas a Liverpool flop? Nolito? Callejon? seriously? infact Sterling was the reason Aspas and Nolito could not make first team at Liverpool and City respectively. Funny you could only come up with one or two examples, the Dutch league is an exception to those you listed...I don't even want to go further with listing players from the Portuguese league and you sighting Lindelof as an example of how average the league is, is at best laughable because I've seen you propping up excuses for him here so why are you bringing him up now? |

CapitalCee: Rojo played at left back remember and Portugal is a rubbish league that even Russian league have snatched a CL spot from them. Sterling might get an invite, if Aspas, vitolo, Nolito and Callejon are being called up, Sterling should get an invite. The same rubbish league that produced Carvalho, Pepe, David Luiz, Alex Sandro etc very running league indeed... And yes those guys you listed are more intelligent than Sterling...Mata plays as an AM, an area Spain is strongest. |

CapitalCee: Otamendi was the best defender in laliga before he came to city and lead the Argentine defence to world cup final. Jones is not in the same cadre with him. if players like Fab and coke can be playing for Spain, and Mata couldn't what does that tell you? I did not say Valencia is not top quality, but he is already aged, after all dayo said that the reason pep failed last year was because his full backs are 30+ Sterling won't play for that Spanish team so that's no pointer. And if you're going to use Otamendi's performance in Spain and in the World cup, it'd interest you to not that Rojo was a beast at the Mundial and also one of the best defenders in Portugal before we got him. |

CapitalCee: of that 6, zlatan is already aged, sowill only be used sparingly and he came for free, Baily is injured mostly, while Lindelof is only a youngster who is just bedding in into the league. leaving us with just Matic, Pogba and Lukaku. of the talent you mentioned that he met. only DDG and Martial are Top quality in the mould of Aguero, Silva, KDB, otamendi, Sterling and Fernandinho. not forgetting a title-winning Captain and leader Kompany. Rashford is an academy youngster who just made his debut few months ago, Jones is never considered a world beater, and age is already taking its toll on Valencia and Young. while Mata as skilful as he might be, cannot make the spanish squad, he is a second rate player. so effectively JOSE met Only DDG and Martial as the only high quality players while pep met about 7. he replaced his ageing full backs which you attributed ad the reason for his below par showing last season, Jose couldn't he has to make do with 30+ full backs. hope u understand now Otamendi and Sterling top quality but Valencia, Mata, Jones etc are of lower quality...Okay oh! |

Let me ask you this, will any of bayern, Madrid, Barca or City buy Lucas Moura? I am not saying he is not good, but a team with our ambition should aim higher. Didn't Bayern sign Kingsley Coman? Who also took James Rodriguez on loan with an option to buy? Didn't Juventus sign Benatia a bench warmer at Bayern? Di Maria is also on the bench for PSG, does it mean he isn't good enough? Fabregas was always on the bench last season but did it mean he wasn't good enough? Favoritism, transfer price and system are key factors you must consider. |

sinizia: Actually, even last season, United covered the least ground among the top 5. In short don't be surprised if for the last 4 seasons, we've covered the least grounds amongst the top 5. That's been the theme of our play for years now. We play lazy football. We start brightly, score and start loitering about, soaking up pressure. It's what we've complained about that Jose has to add more urgency and speed to our game play. We have to have to attack more, close down opponents faster so we can snuff any threat they will unleash. That's one thing Tottenham, Chelshit, City and Co have over us.
Guardiola has implemented the "6 secs rule" and it's working like Magic for City. Mourinho needs to make this guys press harder as a way of defending. God bless you, our pressing game is wack that's why we hardly recover the ball in dangerous positions thus we had to travel a distance to get to the opponents goal before which they have already reorganized... We have players who are fast and young, they should be made to press more. Yesterday, after we scored, we dropped the tempo and almost conceded an equalizer, it's only when we scored the second goal that we managed to take hold of the game. |

He would have struggled too us we stuck with that disjointed 4 4 2 Away from the system, you saw Pogba play like he did at Juventus, long range shots, purposeful take on, quick passes etc...You can say it's down to the system but the timing of the performance seems like an effect of Scholes criticism. |

Nevertheless, it is effective. I hope the club is taking the possibility of getting an excellent midfielder like Goretkza of Schalke. I think he would be an excellent player to play with either Matic or Herrera.
Pogba should never play as a holding midfielder again. Goretkza will really improve our midfield but we need to act fast, Bayern might just swoop in. |
