Negotiation of money is by management. If the coach insists on Musbau Alagbe from Kwara United and the management bids 100m for him is it the coach's fault? The same Musbau Alagbe that Man City or Liverpool will get for 25m if their coach insists on him. .

You can't place most of the blame for the culture of wasted transfer money and wasted salary increment on anybody else but the management. The evil that Woodward and his boys did in that club will take maybe 2 generations to rectify. The people who enabled him are also complicit.

I know management are responsible for negotiations but the coach too can't be excused...Antony is a case in point where Bin Laden sat and watch the club pay over the odds. I think at that point a coach can say to the management that if you have 100m, why not we get 2-3 players of lower profile though still of quality.

The management acts on the recommendation of the coach. If a coach opts for high profile players or insist on certain players with a level of certainty then, the management in order to ensure they are not accused of not backing the coach might just do his bidding.

Amorim should keep things simple. There's no need to get a proper LWB only to play him from the right, now is not the time for experimentation.

The academy actually currently has more players that stylistically suit this system than the senior team.

Remember that the academy is firstly to develop them as footballers, with promotion into the senior team being just a bonus. So it makes sense to develop them in the most common formation in football. The ones that suit our current 3-4-3 will still be identified like we have now, and promoted to the first team. The ones that don’t will be sold for pure profit.

Finally, sticking to the standard formation means if next season we sack Amorin now we won’t have to start changing academy players as well as first team players.

I am just concerned because you pointed out some players you rate highly who simply don't fit the current system. Seeing how bad we are when it comes to handling negotiations for outgoing players, I am concerned we might lose for very good players for the cheap.

Fitzgerald is more of CM and Kone seems to be more of a DM.

Fitzgerald missed half of last season and his development stalled somewhat.

I have not seen much of Kone since the club rarely broadcasts Under-21 games but he played well in the last game.

Still too early to say but in terms of snuffing out opposition attacks the best DM in the academy by far is Devaney. He might be too defensive for this 3-4-3 with 2 box-to-box midfielders though.

Now this is a problem. The club is supposed to have a direction. The academy should breed players for the first team, meaning that our recruitment, even at that level, should be in sync with the style of play we have adopted as a club. It makes no sense to bring up guys who are best suited for the 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 formation at the academy level when the first team is going 3-4-2-1. There's a disconnect and this might see us lose out on some good academy players who simply don't fit the first team style/formation.

From the way we play, none of our players should be earning more than 100k per week but it's not the case. The players are on ridiculously high wages so much so that they have lost the desire to improve. It is only human nature that when you get a role you don't deserve, you begin to believe the lie that you are good enough for the role, and then you stop trying to improve yourself; only a few people will make an attempt to improve themselves when they get unfair promotions...

How much do Skelly, Nwaneri, and even established first steamers like Timber, Martinelli and Co earn? I bet Garnacho and Mainoo earn more and the likes of Dalot, Hojlund, and Yoro earn even more. It's just crazy how bad we are.
