Mainoo is asking for 150k. It is a bit high but not ridiculous. We can negotiate down to about 120k.

Yoro is on 115k, Gravenberch is on 150k, Caicedo is on 180k, Enzo is on 150k, Reiss Nelson is on 100k, Sambi Lokonga is on 50k. No way will Mainoo take 50k-70k.

It is the club's fault for making an 18yr old their midfield savior. Someone that should have been slowly introduced was placed under so much pressure and expectation. If we had better players and a better team Mainoo would have been getting minutes here and there rather than playing game in game out. You can't play him like a chairman and pay him like a peasant.

What i don't like is the timing though. Something he should have left for summer negotiations he has now added more issues and questions for an unsettled Amorin to answer.

I think Mainoo's camp is trying to squeeze out a good deal whilst still possible. He has not been able to replicate his performances of last season, so I don't see why the club should cave in. He should be rewarded based on his current performance and not what he did last season.

If he was playing as well as he did last season, I wouldn't mind, but he isn't, so he is best advised to focus on his football for now.

There are a good number of players in world football, and some even in the academy who are more suited to this 3-4-3 than him. The only way he can ask for 250k in a few years is if he has delivered on his promise. If he has not delivered on his promise and has the temerity to ask for 250k in a few years' time we can offload him and get the next man up.

Building the right culture and keeping to a reasonable wage policy is more important than any individual player.

Liverpool fans are not happy with their owners but I think I like their model. They are refusing to be bullied into offering Salah, VVD and Arnold ridiculous wages when it is obvious that the first two are in growing any younger anymore and Arnold is not indispensable.

I want to see us reach that point where we stay competitive but at a modest operational cost.

Yoro who is younger and less proven in the team and actually a bench player at this stage is on 115k. That is where the mistake was made. This thing is a domino effect. You can't have him on 115k and Mainoo on half of that. I am sure that was a negotiating point made by Mainoo's camp.

If they keep most of our good starting players on between 100k and 180k and the rotation players on less than 100k that is okay. Those are not the problems. The problems are the 250k to 350k weekly salaries being paid in a team that is not winning the biggest trophies.

I now understand why he is holding out for 150k but the issues is that if the clubs folds and offers him 150k wages now, in his next contract negotiations, he will most likely be eyeing a jump to 250k or thereabout.

l dnt know if this news is through but if we r going to b paying 150k a week for Mainoo then players will continue taking us for ride. He is worth 60k a week for now. Period. let him go if he doesn't like it. We can get quality players for his position with dt amount of money

I agree. Mainoo should be earning around 50-70k now and that's much considering that he has not performed to the level he reached last season. He needs to earn his wages else he goes the way of Rashford and Martial.

Unfortunately, the problem isn't Ukraine but
1. Russia who invaded Ukraine in 2014 and took Cremia. Up till this , no one in Ukraine wanted to join NATO
2. USA, who used coercive force to make Ukraine give up her Nuclear arsenal with a promise to protect her from external aggression with the Budapest Accord. Unfortunately, the two guarantees for the agreement failed.
3. United Nations, who pretended that Cremia was not militarily occupied in 2014 by Putin. If the whole world had prevented this, the new invasion would not have happened.


Now , Finland and Sweden have joined NATO because of the aggressive behaviours of Russia. What excuse remains for Ukraine.

Solution:
If Ukraine will not join NATO, she must be allowed to "re-aquire" her Nuclear arsenal and not only this, to build it to its former size.

And no one should complain of Nuclear proliferation.

And after that, Ukraine may by the use of force re-aquire her lost territories from Putin!

Will the US respect the sovereignty of Canada should they invite Russia and China to set up military bases there?
