odizeey: If you don't want spurs and someone else can beat them, shouldn't you be more afraid of the opponent?🤣 Bodo beating Spurs will be a huge upset but I am here for it provided we can navigate our way past Bilbao...Our experience at this stage of European competition should count for something. |

CapitalCee: For Me Kovar is not at our level, he is Below Avarage I jave watched him at Leverkusen a couple of times, he is error prone
We can get a 29-32 year old GKs that will be fantastic, Inter sold us the Bum Onana, and got Yan Sommer for like 5m and he was 34 that time, Van der Sar was languishing at Fulham 34 before fergie got him, he won us the UCL. No be everytime spending big solves problem. How old is Mat Sels at Forest. GK is a different of position. That's why I mentioned in one of my replies to Doc that he is error prone. Sels or any other matured keeper around the age range you mentioned is fine. |

afrodoc: He was the best rated CB in Mainoo’s set and actually made a Europa League squad for the senior team as far back as 2022, then he got injured the next month and did not come back until last year.
I still think it’s not going to happen for him here cos that injury took away his top level speed but it’s still good to see him at least get this chance. He is getting it most likely because he is the most mature and senior team ready CB in the academy, not because he has a longterm future here. I hope he takes grabs his chance...I am always happy when I see youngsters making it. |

It might be Fredricson, Lindelof, Maz at the back. You haven't mentioned this one before...Let me go check him out. |

Ellexy: Let me ask you a question, is this squad good enough to win the Europa league? We have the 3rd best squad of the 4 teams in the Semis. I think we are going to go into the game against Bilbao as underdogs which should work in our favor. Spurs, with all their players fit, are better, so, back to your question, we can win it, but it will take a lot of effort from the team (coaches and players). |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by patrickmuf(m): 10:10am On Apr 18, 2025 |
Bombblacks: I really don't understand you lot. One minute the players are not good enough to win the likes of Ipswich and Fulham while the next you want the same below average players to win the Europa. How is that going to happen if the players cannot start for Southampton like some said. Like I have said countless times Amorim has performed below par with the players at his disposal. The squad is capable of winning the Europa league and even finishing at least in the top ten. When we ask for results to improve you all said it's short term gain for long term failure. I didn't see anyone complaining about the win we had yesterday. Please address those you had that discussion with and don't class everybody as the same. Of the 4 teams left in the competition, we have 3rd best team, we definitely are not favourites but on our day, we can beat anyone. |

You might not like the coach, but for the love of the club, we really need to win the UEL and qualify for the UCL...
Reports say we don't have money and only UCL qualification guarantees cash windfall of any kind coupled with the fact that we can players will be willing to come with the allure of UCL football so as a fan, this is not the time to pray the team fails just so you can banter those who you think are loyal to the coach. If we don't win the UEL and Amorim finally gets the sack, where will the new coach get the money to bring in players? Abi, you will start demanding he will somehow get this crop of players to start delivering consistently. |

I am surprised to see a few monikers blaming Hojlund...I kept close attention to Hojlund all game and to be honest, he had a good game. Our wingers are wired to go for goal first rather than pass. No meaningful developmental projects so far.

U can't tell me that our team is so bad we can't win 3 games in a row.. Come on.
Sometimes blame the tactic that relys heavily on wing backs. Who are the wing backs (dorgu and dalot). And u want to win games... Smh.
How many assist do both of dem combined have in their whole career. It's not even up to 15. Combined. Since they started football..
And the coach is so clueless to not have a plan B. Still playing the same football expecting a different result. Like goals will come from heaven.. Brother you just listed 13 players you think are not good enough but you want the coach to perform magic with them. Are you okay? |

Bombblacks: Sanchez and onana are in the same bracket. Onana might even be better going by the comments on the Chelsea thread.
Badashille? I am convinced lindelof is better than that guy. Fofana is injury prone and colwill is not better than Maguire or De ligt. We have better center back options than Chelsea.
They have better fullbacks and that's only because of Amad injury.
Lavia is injury prone so we can't judge his level. Caicedo is definitely better than all our midfield options.
Bruno is better than Palmer or at least on the same level. Garnacho is definitely better than Neto.
Jackson is definitely better than Holjund.
Combined first Eleven
Onana
Maz. Maguire. De ligt/ Yoro
James. Caicedo. Maino. Cucurella
Bruno. Palmer Jackson Mainoo over Enzo Fernandez? In what world please! |

nitrogen: I believe we’ll beat Lyon on Thursday. But we won’t win Europa and that will be really really bad for us. We need to play in Europe next season otherwise Amorim won’t get his magical players which might result in a relegation. Although this team can make at least top 10 with a better manager. Fingers crossed sha!
Like someone said, we need a manager that will dig us out of the trenches. Chelsea will finish 5th and qualify for the UCL but after we win the Europa League, they'll be sent to the UEL. |

Jamiuokolaa: As in ehn
The way they have depicted 3-4-3 as a formation that can only be implemented with players from Jupiter eh
Below is a part of the team Conte finished 4th with at Spurs
The same Reguilón wey we Chase comot - If to say he still dey here, the story would be that he doesnt have the heart, lungs, Liver and Chest to play as a WB A coach used Porto to win the UCL but Porto clearly didn't have the best squad. After winning the UCL, did they continue on the path of domination? Back to Spurs, did Conte not leave because of a lack of investment? The players in that screenshot, where are they today? It's clear that the players either punched above their weight, or the opposition wasn't on top of their game, or the coaching was just that good (as you want us to believe, even though the same coach was all over the media calling for more investment in the squad). Historically, we have seen a squad of average to good players punch above their weight but it is never sustainable. Whilst you might want better there's nothing to show that this crop of players can do any better. |
