My take after the game yesterday...

We have really improved as a team, this is just about the first time in ages that I have seen us play well over both halves.

Dorgu is a bundle of energy...With him, you see a player who is still improving and with more experience, can be one of our standout players in years to come.

De Ligt was exceptional, his aggressiveness was spot on...

We still need a goalkeeper. When players have confidence in their goalie, they're willing to take more risk...On the plus side, his distribution was great.

Dalot has no place in the starting 11 especially when we are up against top teams. With Amad's introduction, all of Arsenal's left side went on the defensive.

Cunha and Mbeumo are very good with the ball at their feet...I need one of them to drift to the CF position more often.

Casemiro and Shaw really surprised me, especially Casemiro, his passing was superb.

Bruno was all industry and little end product. He should have left that free kick for Mbeumo. Amorim should normalise subbing him.

We played a good game of football. On a different day, we don't lose...I hope we can improve on this performance against Fulham. A win at Fulham will have the players believing again...Glory Glory Manchester United!

the understanding in attack should get better as they play together. the new signings are all ball players. this is very important.

Casemiro and Shaw were tidy. a game every other week for both should keep them at optimum condition.

Bayindir needs to command the box better. His distribution was alright today.

Spot on...I was very impressed with the distribution of Bayindir but that error that led to the goal is unforgivable.

Vvd is not a bad defender but he does have the tendency to run away from dribbles. There's a reason why his aura defending style is a global meme.

Go back and watch the goal again. When Semenyo started to run at the Liverpool defence, the closest to track him was vvd, he ran away looking right and left like a kid that wants to cross a busy road. In that moment, there was a Liverpool player to vvd's left tracking that side of the pitch.

But on the right, Konate was the only one who was actually trying to engage Semenyo but he had two Bournemouth players to his right while there was no bornmouth player to vvd's left with even a Liverpool player tracking that side of the pitch. It's funny how you're trying to pin the blame on Konate who at that moment was tracking three players(Semenyo and the other two blue shirts on his right hand side) with virtually no support in sight. Vvd was partly at fault here.

Like I said he's a good defender but here is Millner calling him out after he was avoiding dribbles forcing this 40 year old EPL veteran to sacrifice himself as the vacuum cleaner.

When that break started, it was just VVD and Konate. I watched the game.

The problem is that a CB pushing into midfield as a DM is too specialised. We dont have anyone capable of doing that. But all around the world, we've seen Stones do similar for City but not many CBs are that comfortable these days to play that middle CB as a DM.

That season City won the UCL, Stones was massive for them. He is very key for Pep but it's a shame he is injury prone...I don't know if Casemiro can do a job there.

Well for one thing, you'll never have a midfield 2.

We need one of our CBs pushing up into the DM slot to ensure we have bodies in midfield but they don't do that enough.

In our game against Everton, I expected Mount to drop deep so that Cunha and Mbeumo will push higher up and be closer to the goal but it was Mount who was mostly in that space.

When defending, I hate it when our 3 CBs retreat instead of one of them to push forward into the DM position to try to sniff out danger before it reaches the box (This is assuming the 2 midfielders have been bypassed) but it never happens, the opposition seem to have a free run towards our 18 where you will find the CBs.

I am very keen to see how we approach the game against Arsenal.
