You asked and answered your question. America military budget is huge because they have to maintain military bases across the world, it doesn't necessarily mean all the money is pent on weapon production.

The whole of NATO is struggling to supply Ukraine with weapons because they don't have enough stockpiles. Just good how much it takes to keep an aircraft carrier operational and you'd know why America's military budget is huge.

A good read. I think Spain, Sweden, the Netherlands, Greece, Canada, Finland and Poland have upgraded their military in the past 10-15 years. Poland and Romania most especially so, they're a force but not in the league of China, USA, Russia, France and UK. Of the lot, Only the USA can go toe-to-toe with Russia but even the US will not want that to happen because Americans just can't live through a war compared to Russians.

If anyone thinks Russia has shown its hand in Ukraine, then that fella is in for a surprise. Putin knows who the real enemies are and when they square up, that's when we will see weapons no one knew existed from both sides. In all, China stands to benefit from any direct confrontation between Russia and NATO because it will most likely herald the beginning of a new world order led by China.

Kompany even though a rookie is enjoying life at Bayern cos he sticks with same philosophy that relegated Burnley back to championship. The board feel potentials in the philosophy and believe they have the tools for him to succeed with it at the club.

From the training video that I saw, Evans the CCB was tasked with finding attackers with long passes, especially the LWB. Can De Ligt do that? I doubt it oo, if there is one thing Delight can’t do well, its pass out from defence. Martinez and Maguire are the best in doing that.
Yoro has always been tailor made for the RCB, and thats where I see De ligt thriving.

Please go and check out De Ligt, passing is one of his strong points.

Me I go support Amorim until I see that we are not going to make any progress under him but some folks here are already writing him off even before we see the team play a couple of games under him. If after 1 he full season, I start complaining (that's assuming things are not going according to plan) they'll say I'm impatient but we have not watched even a game under him yet some fans are already sure he will struggle here.

Amorim has my full backing until I watch the team under him for some months and he has at least two transfer window under his belt starting from the January transfer window.

If Amorim fails, a lot of coaches will not be keen to take the job at Old Trafford.

The guy's short and medium range passing is still iffy. He messed up a few easy passes today but more than made up for it with his tackling and pressing. If we are to challenge for titles soon though he has to improve on the passing, otherwise it would be another Herrera situation.

I feel he will thrive with the incoming set-up.

Back then, I used to argue that Ronaldo was better because he added goals to his game before Messi but when Ronaldo left, I was just too pained and that coincided with the period Messi reinvented his game like Ronaldo did earlier so I opted to Stan Messi...I am also left-footed so maybe that's another thing that made me choose Messi...

Make I no talk too much, I no fit forgive Ronaldo for leaving for Madrid. It's the most painful period for me as a United fan...

I also started to hate Rooney when he pushed for a move away. It was that overhead kick against City that made me forgive and forget...

You are basically saying if Ronaldo had flopped at Madrid, you will rate his performance at United higher. The point I raised and stand by is that Ronaldo was top level here only for 3 years and those were not his best years. If Rooney had joined a rival andgone ahead to win 4 UCLs, 3 leagues titles and other trophies, many here won't rank him that high...Rooney is ranked that high because he spent the peak of his career here. Fans will always appreciate that over a few great seasons unless they're fan boys.

Park was not even a guaranteed starter in most of his career at United. You wanted to use longevity until you found out Ronaldo spent similar years as Evra, Park , Vidic etc. No one is talking about his career at Madrid so your Forlan example and career he went on to have after leaving United angle doesn't even follow.

Well, the others spent their peak years here. I don't know why you're missing this point. Ronaldo was good here but we didn't see the best of him here. If Keane, Rooney, Vidic, Evra and the likes left before reaching their peak, I won't rank them so high.

If Rashford stayed at United till 30 then leave to a mid table club would you rate him over Ronaldo because he played his best football at United.

Rashford's best did not come with trophies and was not good enough compared to other players at the time. It's like Kane and his goals for Spurs, even though he was very prolific, people just won't rate him highly enough when he retires but Spurs fans will.

Back to United, Evra was one of the best LBs in the world while he was here same as Ferdinand. Park was the engine room of the team so, I rate them highly based on that. It's like saying Forlan is a United great because of the career he went on to have after leaving the club. Don't get me wrong, Ronaldo had aa great 3 years here but for me, I won't put him above the likes of Rio, Evra, Vidic when ranking our greatest ever players.

Ronaldo had 1 great season here and 2 very good seasons before he left. He was entering his peak when he left for Madrid compared to those players who played their best football at United. You might not agree but this is the perspective I'm looking at.
