The argument does not make sense to me. It's pointless bringing in Ronaldo in the criticism or defence of Garnacho.

If I had joined in dragging Garnacho them for say na becuae I be Messi fan and I no like Ronaldo. You guys just find ways to reduce every argument to nothing.

I deliberately refused to blast Garnacho beyond my reaction during the game for reasons I dropped here but if others choose to then they're well within their rights to do so. Ronaldo is in Saudi and Messi in the MLS, we need to move past them.

CBs? Yes...Yoro at RCB, De Ligt at CB and Martinez at LCB...Lindelöf and Maguire are more than capable deputies.

Wingbacks? No...Shaw is Afrodoc's colleague and Dalot is off form. Mazraoui can do well as the RWB, but at LWB, we have a big problem.

Midfield? Yes...Ugarte and Mainoo look a perfect fit for his preferred 2 man man midfield. Casemiro is also an option. Bruno has shown he can play that role for Portugal, so he is an option if the others are injured.

RAMF and LAMF? Yes...I think Bruno and Amad will thrive here. We are lacking quality alternatives because Rashford and Garnacho are not technical on the ball and depend more on their explosive pace. Antony is another that might do well as a RAMF...Bruno can be very disciplined in possession when he wants to be and can pick a pass; we see him when he plays for Portugal, so I think he and Amad will thrive here.

CF? I can't say...Hojlund is good at running into channels but his ability to retain possession needs a lot of improvement...Rashford is another option here if he gets his head sorted out but that's a big one to ask of him. Zirkzee needs to work hard if he must stand any chance of making the team, at the moment, I don't see him fitting in at all.

Hopefully. As eph12 said, the new manager should not come here and attempt to appease all and sundry, the players who are under performing should be shown the door but if he comes in and keeps playing players who are under performing, then he should be ready for whatever.

We need to start playing proper football first. Keeping the ball better, pressing like a team, playing with urgency from the start of games and with it will come progression to the top.
