Jail is the beginning of his problems, he'll most likely be bleeped by fellow inmates and perhaps have his own lips bitten off.

Criminals over there don't pity any one who commits any sort of crime against a woman.

Just watched the video. No choreography or editing could've achieved what was displayed in that video. What I saw was borne out of constant necking, making out and the real deal in real life........

At the end of the day, they adults and can do what they wish with their body, albeit, it behooves us to always do that which posterity will remember without disdain.

However, I recall this same airport was given an award as the worst in the world. Re-evaluation is in order, I suppose!

Politics / Re: An Open Letter To Nnamdi Kanu By Ifedimma Onwugbufor by Patrinus: 1:49pm On Oct 22, 2018
Some hard core truths in this write-up. Kanu's unwavering stance might appeal to some but its bringing out a wrong mindset in others and not really achieving much. The Israel he's seeking refuge in today waged a strategic war against the Arabs in 1967 and defeated them all by not fighting everyone at once but using their brain and annihilating enemies one after the other.

Take what you can and forge ahead, if Atiku is offering restructure why not flow with that? Why attempt to destabilize a nation and be castigated amongst your own kindred while you in the safe haven of a foreign land?

Fashion / Re: What I Noticed At A Beauty Pageant Audition In Lagos by Patrinus: 10:55am On Oct 17, 2018
LifestyleTonite:
Recently, I was at a beauty pageant audition in Lagos which saw many good looking girls jostling to make it to the final cut. The girls did their best to impress the judges who really were weeding some of them out not for lack of brains but for lack of 100% beauty. At some point, I got tired because some of the girls whom I thought would get a nod were actually shown the door. They were shown the door simply because their beauty wasn’t as impressive as their brains. Amazingly, those on the reverse case were picked.

Without much Ado, the part that pissed me off the most at the beauty pageant audition was when the judges were asking all the girls if they were feminists. Their questions were designed in such a way that all the girls had to identify with feminism. They first asked them to state how they would empower women when they become a beauty queen. Many of the girls reeled out nice points on how they will ensure women don’t lack anything and are respected in society. Then came the question ”are you a feminist?”.

Some of the girls said they were, but they couldn’t explain what feminism is. Perhaps they just gave the answer to impress the judges so they could move to the next stage of the audition.

Majority of the girls at the beauty pageant audition who gave no as an answered were made to look stupid before the judges. According to the judges, ”how can you not be a feminist when you just spoke of how you will empower women?”. I could see many of them making a U-turn, and all of a sudden they are now feminists. Though it may sound as if they just wanted to impress the judges, the damage is that such girls will go home affiliating with feminism without having a full grasp of its true meaning. I could count close to a hundred and fifty girls at the audition that day, and that was just for Lagos (other regions to follow).

Dumb post! Stopped reading when I got to the bolded bit! So the moment you decide to empower women you automatically become a feminist undecided
Education / Re: What’s The Most Painful Thing A Lecturer Has Ever Done Or Said To You? by Patrinus: 7:42am On Oct 17, 2018
Used to roll with some unscrupulous element back in school, always skipping lectures and stuff. I was quite good in logic so I missed this lecturer's test and attendance, meaning I had zero out of thirty marks. Come exam day, digital electronics (logic) was easy pizzy for me, it was no surprise when I was told I was the only one who scored 70 outta 70 and the lecturer wanted to see me.

Sauntered into his office expecting encomiums to be poured on me and the only thing I heard was "young man, why are you wasting your father's money? I can see you never attended my class which is what you must be doing with other courses, the fact that you earned top marks doesn't excuse that. . . I repeat, why are you wasting your father's money?

It was a defining moment for me and come next semester I was sitting in the front and even went on to become best buddies with same lecturer, caught some flak from my friends who thought I sold out but who cares, I became a better person in the end.
