PoliticsRe: Any Candidate That Igbos Supported Always Performs Better by Pauldollars(m): 6:37am On Feb 25, 2023
ican2020:
Any Candidate That Igbos Supported Always Performs Better

In 1999 Igbos voted massively for a Obasanjo (Yoruba man) and he performed above average

Next election they voted massively for Umaru Muss Yar Adua (Hausa man) and he was adjudged the best president since democracy became the other of the day

They massively voted for GEJ (South South) and he performed above average that prices of food items came down for the first time in Nigeria changing the long held narrative that whatever goes up in Nigeria will never come down

The Igbos voted massively against President Buhari (Hausa/Fulani) in 2015 and 2019 and we are all faced by the bitter realities of backward march and now the poverty capital of the world, a country over blessed by God almighty very unfortunate
The above gives credence to the fact that what Igbos see today will always take others many years for other tribes to see

And today the Igbos are massively voting for Peter Obi and if we must avoid jumping from frying pan to fire we all just have to join the Igbos and vote massively for Peter Obi of LP

And they are the most de tribalized people in Nigeria, even at some point in times they voted against their own person Ojukwu comes to mind

Election is not a do or die exercise but the choice lies in our hands to help in reversing Nigeria from this negative journey to a 360 degree turn to the right path of growth, freedom and peace of mind

Vote Peter Obi today for a better future

A word is enough for the wise

ArewaQuitessenc:
I can understand your feelings about an Igbo presidency and Obi winning, and I wholeheartedly wish Obi the best today at the polls...but the reality ON GROUND is that in the event Obi doesn't win, I can tell you with the purest of intentions as a Northerner that the best possible outcome favorable to the Igbos socio-politically is for Atiku to win this election. It's no secrets that BAT and his team have strong Igbophobic sentiments which they haven't failed to echo in the course of their campaign trails, it's the E mi lo kan army that turned this election into a tribal war, their hateful and inciteful shenanigans are everywhere on social media. An Atiku government is the closest Igbo will get to a presidency right now, and under the OBJ/Atiku government, Igbos enjoyed the best positions of power in Nigeria, the likes of Professor Ngozi Okonjo Iweala, Soludo, Oby Ezekwesili, Pat Utomi etc were all discovered under the PDP govt of OBJ and Atiku.

Ndigbo be wise and don't let sentiments cloud your judgment, politics is a strategic game and not a game of emotions, pray for an Atiku victory cause that's the closest of a victory as an Obi presidency can mean to you.
Mr. Man, only the votes from Arewa will not make Atiku President. grin
He needs SE, SW, middle belt and Northern Christians to win. Unfortunately they're all on the queue now waiting to vote Obi.

Stop begging people to vote Atiku, your candidate.
Campaigning has stopped according to INEC tongue

I live here in Bauchi State. Majority of People in Bauchi are quite educated compared to other Northern States

PDP- Atiku
NNPP- Kwankwaso
LP: Obi
APC: Tinubu

Peter Obi has the major support from Christians in Bauchi who constitute 30-35 percent of the population.
Christianity EtcRe: Drawing The Lines Between Political Elections, Church, And Pastors by Pauldollars(m): 9:35am On Feb 24, 2023
As much as it is wrong to crucify Pastor's who don't want to be involved in politics or take a stand for any candidate, Pastors have a role to play to ensure that there is peace in the land by encouraging their members to pray and vote.

A Pastor doesn't need to take side with any candidate publicly...and should ignore those who try to force him to declare his stand for a candidate.

When many Pastors in RCCG endorsed APC's President Muhammadu Buhari in 2015 because one of their members and Pastor was a running mate, were they aware of the pain and suffering the APC would cause Nigerians?

Pastors should rather pray and encourage their members to vote wisely, not endorse a mere mortal man, who can fail.

Jeremiah 29:7 New International Version (NIV)
Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the LORD for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.”

1 Timothy 2:1-2
I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.”

PoliticsWhy Is Peter Obi On The Lips Of Every Nigerian? by Pauldollars(op): 9:29am On Feb 24, 2023
Why is Peter Obi on the lips of every Nigerian?
He is the gravitational pull of the 2023 Presidential Election.
Even among contestants of others parties and endorsements, the name Peter Obi keeps ringing bells across Nigeria.

I'm beginning to believe there is a spiritual factor involved in this man's popularity all of Nigeria, coz even here in the North which seems to be APC and some PDP strongholds, people (especially youths) seem to be crazy about him.

2023 Presidency : Peter Obi Defeats Tinubu, Atiku To Emerge Winner In Latest Online Poll

By Wisdom Nwedene

The Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi has emerged winner in an online poll conducted by an online newspaper, 9news Nigeria and monitored by professional organisations.

The online poll which was created on 19th February and ended on 21st February 2023, Mr Peter Obi garnered 1,517 votes to defeat his closest rival, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu who polled 787 votes.

Other candidates include, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, 374 Votes, Professor Peter Umeadi ( APGA) Party, 173 Votes, Omoyele Sowore ( AAC) Party, 166 Votes, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso ( NNPP) Party, 164 Votes, Dumebi Kachikwu
Dumebi Kachikwu ( ADC) Party, 164 Votes,
Yusuf Mamman Dan Talle ( APM) Party, 157 Votes, Prince Adewole Adebayo ( SDP) Party, 155 Votes, Professor Christopher Imumulen ( Accord Party) Party, 155 Votes,Kola Abiola ( PRP) Party, 154 Votes, and Prince Malik Ado-Ibrahim ( YPP) Party
who secured 153 Votes respectively.

The latest poll by 9NEWS NIGERIA made Peter Obi the winner of seven previous polls conducted by reputable polling companies.

9News Nigeria recalls that a poll conducted by
New York based global television and media giant, Bloomberg says former governor of Anambra state Peter Obi remains the top choice to become the nation’s next president.

Two-thirds of respondents said in the polls published Friday they intend to vote for Obi, a third-party candidate, in elections scheduled for February 25, 2023.

The results of the survey conducted for Bloomberg News by Premise Data Corp. a San Francisco based data company, were published on Friday – 15 days before the vote to choose President Muhammadu Buhari’s successor. Premise Data Corp has so far conducted six polls for Bloomberg, and in all Obi has maintained an unassailable lead.

Of the 93% of participants who said they’ve decided how to vote, 66% named Obi as their preferred choice. Obi scored a slightly higher 72% among decided respondents in an earlier Premise poll that was released by Bloomberg in September as the official election campaign kicked off.

While Obi’s campaign has generated a momentum that the two established forces in Nigerian politics were not expecting, the ruling All Progressives Congress and main opposition Peoples Democratic Party insist that he cannot triumph on Feb. 25. They say his appeal is too thinly spread across the country’s states and have derided polling that has almost universally put the candidate of the much smaller Labour Party in first place.

Still, Obi has emerged as the most popular candidate in seven polls including the two surveys conducted by Premise for Bloomberg. Another poll released this week by Lagos-based media and data company Stears predicted that Obi will win in the event of high turnout, but lose to Bola Tinubu of the APC if participation is weak.

Dismissed by his opponents as a “social media candidate,” Obi’s rise has been fueled by disenchantment with the status quo. His campaign has attracted an enthusiastic following known as “Obidients” — initially online but increasingly at rallies and marches — even if the man they wish to help to Nigeria’s biggest ever electoral upset hardly has an anti-establishment background.
