ICAN lost someone so dear to them of this very recent, I guess this may have contributed to the delay in the release of the results but my advise is that we all take a chill pie and be positive for the best when it's eventually released

NB: That's in my own opinion though

Hello all,

Please I need to know if those that weren't eligible and did not apply for supplementary admission who were invited filled in their O' level results on there kofa page back then.

My cousin was invited but his O' level results were not filled

Does that have any implication?
Your prompt response will be appreciated. Thanks.

You can also ask for the help of an HR professional to help revamp your Resume or you surf the Internet on how to go about that.
Please make Gmat your friend as you'd find it handy if called for aptitude test. Also try to keep yourself abreast of vital information about the industry you desire to be part of.

God will give you a cause to smile soon I believe. #BeEncouraged

Haven't posted on NL for a while. Your thread drew me out.
I finished NYSC in February 2009. At about May 2009 I had sent over 200 email applications and received only one reply - an automated response!
Don't worry, I'm not wishing you the same lot :-)
My 2 cents:
1. Visit justjobsng.com and as often as possible
2. Google companies within your desired industry and visit with hard copies of your resume.
3. Get on LinkedIn, build your profile and join networks within and adjacent to your desired industry. Start by looking for your University Alumni and sending them connection requests, then HR managers across related industries.
4. Offer to volunteer - ask for 'internships'. That is, you need to build experience and this might require doing so without pay or being paid just enough to cover your transport.
5. Look for courses on alison.com. They're all free.
6. Invest in building expert level proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Use youtube, read the help file, look for free training online - this skill is in demand and might earn you a foot in the door.
7. Please don't give up (or give in to the people that seek to exploit ladies)

Cheers.

Wow, this is cool though it has some limitations, thank you much for this.

OP, I think this should be helpful.

Ok, I'll try to go as detailed as possible.

1. Joint account for home expenses;
- Rent.
- Food.
- Kids' school stuff
- Kids' clothes, shoes and electronics.
- Home repairs. (one rented home and one owned home)
- Cars' repairs. (two cars)
- Fueling our cars.
- Purchase or replacement of household items e.g furnitures, electronics, etc.
- And others I don't remember now.

2. Joint account for savings;
We save for future business investments.

3. Private accounts;
I've a private account so as my wife. We have each other as next of kin. We can do whatever we want with the money in our individual accounts.

I'm glad you're interested to plan your finances with your future wife. It's very important and it solves a lot of problems, even multi-billionaires plan theirs. Good communication is vital in marriage.

If you've any more questions, please let me know.

Have been reading through the posts and noticed your suggestions are spot on and Mature...

I have learnt a lot from what you have shared as it relate with how you run your home with understanding. Thanks much

For now, I'll will be uploading pictures until I feel free enough to bring out the full details of the whole story. The world should know until someone out there helps! Until someone helps you all will just have to join me watch this boy die silently

If this information is actually true and the op is real, then he needs to be prosecuted if this boy dies and he can be traced. The last statement he made got me infuriated, what would you gain if this boy dies. Just confide in someone and release just a clue if you're scared to be in the big picture.

Your report here makes no good if this boy dies. You would not know the trauma that lad will be going through aside the many physical injuries while he is counting on you as his saviour. A lot of people have stretched out their helping hands on this matter... please act fast and now

The Richest Man in Babylon
Written by George Samuel Clason

It's a classic written in a story format that makes it more interesting to read, it teaches the basic principles in investment which am going to summarise in the 8 points below.

1. Pay Ourselves First( learn to save first before you start spending)

2.   Live below our means. (“Control thy expenditures, curtail your expenditure to the minimum ”)

3. Make our money work for us( learn to invest your savings to yield more for you)

4. Insurance protects our wealth.  (“Guard they treasures from loss.”)

5. Our home is our biggest expense.  (make efforts to get your own personal house)

6. Have a retirement plan. (“plan for your retirement now your still working)

7. Invest in ourselves. (“Increase your ability to earn by learning more and more through books etc)

8. Track Our Wealth. (Know where you are and where you are going.)

This was the one of the first books I read and it has been more than helpful.

I have the soft copy(pdf), if you need it let me know.

Happy reading smiley

Ernie, truth be told you're doing a great job here... have missed been here. please I'd appreciate if you can send the soft copies of the books you've shared to me. paulifeoluwa.topnotch@gmail.com.

Education / 12 Professors Vying For The Position Of The VC Of The University Of Ibadan by paulostical: 2:42pm On Jul 07, 2015
No fewer than 12 Professors at the University of Ibadan are currently engaged in the succession battle for the position of the institution’s Vice Chancellor as the 5-year tenure of the incumbent, Professor Isaac Folorunso Adewole, winds down.

Professor Adewole whose tenure lapses in November 2015 has been adjudged to have run a generally peaceful tenure noted for transformation and maintenance of industrial peace among unions on campus.

Inside sources reveal that out of the 12 candidates jostling for the position, only Professor A. Adedeji is external to University‎ of Ibadan.

Others are Professors O.O Layiwola (Institute of African Studies),
O.O Akinyinka (Pediatrics),
F.O Egbokhare ‎ (Linguistics and African Languages),
Arinola, O. Sanya (Physiotherapy ),
B.O Fagbemi (Veterinary Microbiology and Parasitology),
L. Popoola (Forest Resources Management), A.I Olayinka (Geology),
A.I Oluleye (Industrial and Production Engineering),
O.D Olaleye (Virology),
A.E Falaye (Aquaculture and Fisheries Management)
and A.A. Agbaje (Political Science).

It was however gathered that two other persons joined the list having ‘searched’ despite not applying for the position but are considered ‘fit’ for the job.

‎Meanwhile, all the aspiring candidates will soon interact with the university community under the platform of the ‘University of Ibadan Community Forum 2015′, in a move to ensure a democratic emergence of a new Vice Chancellor for the University.

The Chairman of the ‘University of Ibadan Community Forum 2015′,  Professor Nelson Fashina, stated that ‘even though the forum does not have power as to who become the next Vice Chancellor, the interactive platform with the university community will enable the community listen to candidates and keep records of their plans or manifestoes of whoever‎ emerges and be able to hold him/her accountable.’

To this end, Professor Fashina said, all candidates have been invited for the interactive session. He explained that the forum was set up to give a level-playing ground to all contestants.

Fashina said further:  “We are a neutral and objective body seeking for the enthronement of truth, fair play and justice. All candidates therefore earn respect for their personal opinion, vision and mission, such that no one of them can be intimidated or harassed. All the candidates, both from within the UI and outside are given equal opportunities.”

“It is a forum that is meant to articulate the conjunction of positive interest in the direction of unity and harmony as necessary condition for further propagation of the academic excellence.”

“It is also for improved administrative achievements and the better welfare for all, both staff, students, families on the UI campus and for the interest of all our affiliate colleges and other functional interests, both nationally and internationally.”

Firstly, there's no way your Dad won't be informed, it's not going to be easy but it will surely pass... after all said and done (paternity test in other to ascertain the pregnancy is truly yours) you need to sit back and ask yourself what you truly want as regards your studies since responsiblity will beckon afterwards..

Banks insists you must have account with them before they attend to you. That's the main problem.

That's not true, you mustn't have an account with 'em before you can register for your biometric.
That's a wrong way of getting customers they are trying to adopt.

please have not done mine. is it compulsory I do it in my bank?, I use Gtbank and the silly bank is far from where I reside

You can walk into any bank to get your biometric registration done, just ensure you have any of your account number with you... after which you go to your bank to link the BVN to your account.

My take, I think it's just a way to ensure people compile with the registration, if there's no deadline attached to it, people will be lackadaisical about it. But I think it will be postponed since it's suppose to be a continuous process... the importance attached to this is topmost compared to SIM registration.
