Born and raised in Lagos, Yoruba was taught in school but my parents made sure it was only igbo that was spoken at home and converse in igbo to our igbo neighbours. I deeply appreciate my mastering of the Yoruba and igbo languages as it has enriched my worldview and expanded opportunities for me.

To the OP, I know you love mentioning going to court just as you did in your other thread that some nameless foreign lawyers have already dragged Buhari to ICC and would soon be arrested, now who is robbing the igbo children in Lagos of the opportunities to identify themselves deeply in the igbo language, if not their parents!

How many families where both husband and wife who were even Eastern born and raised have igbo language as the only language of communication in their homes? How can a couple be 100% igbo and their children can not speak igbo rather feeling cool with communicating with them in English or Pidgin!


You need to go listen to BBC Radio's documentary titled "Forgetting Igbo" and have a clearer idea how our children are loosing out on our language and stop pointing fingers.

For that of Zamfara, he spent between 1991 to 1994 just to obtain a certificate and later a diploma in secretarial studies in 2004. That means after 10 years he could only upgrade to a Diploma which he may likely not had attended classes as he needed to submit certificates to INEC for running for elections ....schooling hard this man!

1. I thought every Nigerian had a right to vote whoever they liked?
